The hotel was ideally situated for us because we only had to go 16 miles to reach Alexander Springs in the Ocala National Forest. It was very quiet and comfortable. Located right next door was an excellent "Ruby Tuesdays" so we just walked over there for dinner each night. It was very reasonably priced, not noisy and had excellent food.

We have stayed at this hotel before and it was clean but this year it is looking like it needs a GOOD cleaning! The carpet in the breakfast area and lobby looks like it has never been cleaned. The whole inside needs a do over! It is a great location but needs housekeeping and maintenance attention.

How hard can it be to clean the lint out of the air duct in the bathroom? Or recaulk around the edges of the bathtub? Adjust the door strike so the door closes without the need for you to pull on it? When we walked into our room, we were immediately hit with a mold smell. We tried to change rooms, but the only other room they could offer us was also mildewy. There was a dehumidifier in the room that we had to empty twice during the night. The staff was very helpful and they were able to move us to a different room the 2nd night.

For the most part, everything was ok. The only complaint I could make is that several of the rooms had a very dank and moldy smell. My family and I had 4 rooms. 3 of the rooms smelled this way. Everything else was fine though. I would stay there again. Just bring some Febreeze.

I was very pleased with my stay - the hotel was clean and quiet, the room was modern and comfortable. The staff were very helpful - my first room was on the 3rd floor, right under the HVAC system on the roof, and there was a loud humming, and they had no problem immediately putting me in a quieter room. The location is convenient to one of The Villages […] town centers, there is a Chili's across the street, and lots of shops and restaurants just down the room. Definitely would stay here again. We have stayed here before and always enjoyed. This time was a little different. The woman at the front desk ( who was sitting outside smoking when we arrived) was rude when we asked her to change the channel on the T.V. and the bathroom had mildew in the shower. Nice place, but not a very vacation oriented spot. Pool was empty most times. Great business hotel. Fridge and microwave are a nice touch.

It was fine for one night but the bathroom -- particularty the tub/shower area left a lot to be desired. There was obviously a water issue that left mold and mildew that was caulked over and the wall surrounding the tub was cracked and damaged without repairs. Not what I would expect from a Holiday Inn product.
