"Glad I found this place"
I loved this place! The ONLY thing that was a tad inconvenient was there were no outlets next to the bed. I like having my cell phone right next to me when I sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"We will be back!"
We were in town for 2 days and it was perfectly convenient and comfortable. We will be back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
All was great. They need better mattress for the sofa bedGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I loved this hotel. It was about 2 minutes walking distance from the gondolas that took you to the skiing area. Rentals were also in the same village area which was very easy for a big group. The hotel itself was very nice. Made us feel safe that we needed the room key to even go in the room area. We got two rooms with a kitchen and fireplace. They […] accommodated us very well because we had a big group. The couch was pull out and in the room they had two extra blankets and 2 extra pillows. We didn't even have to call room service for more stuff. I would really recommend this hotel! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The pillows are too soft. And they don't have one firm pillow in the building.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Safe your money and go elsewhere"
Overpriced with ridiculous fees and taxes that were tagged on after booking over Expedia. Although the hotel was located nicely to the Gondola, it was very loud in the evening and at nighttime since the hotel was above restaurants and shops. We stayed two nights and both nights we were woken up by loud screaming and yelling from what it appeared drunk […] and partying adults. Very annoying to be paying so much and not even get a good night sleep. Save your money and go elsewhere! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Easy acess to everything"
Everything you needed was in the village. Restaurants, groceries, Starbucks, ice cream even ski rentals. Our room was 1min walking distance to the gondola, where we rented skis. Walk out of your hotel building and your in a little city. We will stay here every time we visit. Be prepared to spend some $$$. Nothing is cheap. We plan on taking a trip to […] Vons(5min away) and preparing meals at the room next time. Tiny refrigerator but all the comforts of home; stove, microwave. The main town is extremely close if your looking for McDonald, Carls jr,etc. Bring bathroom essentials! Their soap is 13$! Shampoo 18$! Beds werent that great and the weather stripping needs replacing around the doors. Overall it was our best vacation yet. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Great location - right in the village near main gondola - perfect room for family w separate living area with a pull out sofa - very clean - not a ton of services revised but great hotel overallGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Beautiful, quiet room with lots of amenities. A very short walk to the chair lift and tons of activities in the village. Would definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Village Lodge was clean, comfortable, close to the slopes, and made for the perfect Mammoth Mountain experienceGenuine Expedia guest review

"Thanksgiving week break"
Planned a quick gets away prior to thanksgiving. A little snow, so spent 1 day of 4 on slopes. Rest of the time we explored mammoth. Hike around lakes, in mountains etc. rest of time reading and playing games. Room was great with life's, because it was like cabin in a resort. Didn't feel cramped like hotel...Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice room and location"
The stay here was excellent and all the staff was nice and efficient. Only complaint was the room was very warm, but opening up the windows helped balance it out. I would definitely come back and stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"great for family"
Great place for a family trip, room's are big with a nice sized kitchen. Close to lots of restaurants and bars.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice, clean with excellent staff, very accmodating. We couldn't figure out how to control the tempature in the room which was very, very warm. We had to leave the door open in the day time and it was extremely warm at night.Genuine Expedia guest review
Overall, it was a wonderful stay. Since it was in between seasons, some of the stores and restaurants located on site were not open. The location was nice and peaceful and not too far from town.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Attending a friends wedding"
The Village is the best place to stay in Mammoth- walking distance to everything. Can't wait to come back in the winter.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Mammoth weekend getaway"
Outstanding value for great location in Mammoth. Excellent room; great pool (heated) and hot tubs; excellent restaurants (especially Mexican) on-site; helpful, courteous staff; convenient parking. As close to Devils Postpile as you can get. Only negative (small) was that the bedroom room was hot during September and ceiling fan was loose/ratling. (A […] cooling unit was available but couldn't be moved to where it was needed). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice central location, was able to do everything"
Local bus was excellent location was at the front of lodge did not have to worry about anything, parking was great for large truckGenuine Expedia guest review
Even though the lodge was sufficient, it had its disappointments. The on-line photos definitely made the rooms look nicer than they were. Also, our room never got cleaned. When we asked about it the next day, they simply said Sundays are busy. No apology came with that. Will we stay there again? No, we've definitely had better in glorious Mammoth!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Smack in the middle of shops places to eat."
We loved the hotel. Just walk out and lots of stuff to do and see.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The Village resort - Mammoth"
We went to mammoth on a last minute trip. We chose The Village based on reviews. Its a lovely property and very conveniently located. Lots of shops, restaurants and gondola access just outside of the resort. As soon as you walk out of the door and left of the pool there are 2 restaurants and a Starbucks. Nice! Our room had 1 bedroom, living room with […] a lumpy sleeper couch (only negative), dining table and full kitchen. Free wifi. The room was nicely decorated. The hallways smelled funny but the room did not. I only saw the staff when we arrived because we left early to hike every day. They were very nice and polite. There is an annoying daily resort fee. At the rate they charge I feel this should be included. Our stay was during shoulder season so I'm not sure about the noise complaints I read about. We had no issues. We really enjoyed our stay and would return. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"oh, you booked through Expidea !!!"
I often book through the hotel, but for my own reasons I had used hotel, com. I thought the woman checking me in was a tad rude & treated me kinda funky, when in fact I have stayed there many times. They tried to give me a noisy room, & after MUCH searching found a room, I liked. Check in is LATE, 4pm & check out is early 11am. The maid will be waiting […] outside your door. "Mtn biker's dream"
Great for any mtn biker looking for a great hotel!Genuine Expedia guest review
My family stayed there over the labor day. The TV did not work. The 2nd day we went to lobby and only two staffs with walkiie tallke were there. My wife asked them to fix the TV and asked direction to the Devil's postpile park. While he answered my wife's question he was shaking his one leg and gave us the direction of tourist information center, which […] is opposite direction of the park from the hotel.Considering in such a small town and such a famous tourist spot, it is very hard to believe that two staff do not know direction of the Devil's postpile park. Actually the hotel is on the way to the park. Of course the TV was not fixed when we came back to hotel after hiking. This was the worst experience with the hotel staff. "Great spot, snarky service"
Great facility, nice clean spacious rooms and the village at mammoth is sweet. There can't really be a better location in Mammoth. Once you get past the grouchy, snarky Mammoth lifer at the front desk your in the clear!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best location available"
The best thing about the Village Lodge is where it's located, right in the heart of the village. We stayed in the Lincoln House on the first floor. It was walking distance to everything but also quiet. By no means, is this place a luxury hotel though. The photos make this place look a lot nicer than it actually is. It does have a cabin/lodgey feel which […] I love since you're in the mountain but it does still have an older feel to it. Our room was extremely dark, which made it feel more dungeony. The worst part of it was their front desk people. They were extremely rude and unhelpful. If I came back to Mammoth, I would only stay here for the location but would probably look for other locations first. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Too expensive for the location."
Staff was friendly. However, room was too expensive for the location. Room floor needed to be deep cleaned.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fantastic in everyway"
The room was ideal for a family having 2 separate bedrooms, the reception staff were all very polite and accommodating, they allowed us to extend our check out time without and problems. "great for families visiting Mammoth lakes"
very nice rooms, great location, nice pool and hot tub. the service at the desk should be betterGenuine Hotels.com guest review
nice hotel in great location. The elevators are very annoyoing- they are sooo slow and the flloors dont match teh room numbers - so peolpe are always pressing the wrong floor out of habie (i.e room 3000 is on floor "4"..)Genuine Expedia guest review
"The BEST place to live"
I totally love this place. It is pricey but it is worth it. Thank you the room you provided for my family. My boy (who just had surgery, it was his 5th post op day) did not have a hard time moving around. We were at the lobby area. The room was the best- spacious and clean. He slept soundly as we were far from the restaurants and bars. The only thing […] I didn't like were the pillows. It gave me a headache the next day. Still, I would certainly inform my friends about this place. Lastly, the front desk people were totally pro -very kind, accommodating, friendly . Thank you guys for being nice to us. Very HAPPY. Be ready for lots of people yelling upon exciting bats until 2 am, or for small children playing at 7 am in the mall. There is always pop music blasting and if you are there on the weekend there is live music.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very Nice Hotel"
The hotel itself was very nice. Check in was fast and easy. Room was great and view was beautiful. We took a trip for a couple of days on the motorcycle in August - Sun through Tues. The problem with the hotel you are not within walking distance of town and amenities at the hotel are not that great in the summer. The gondola was closed, no place to […] really sit down and have breakfast. Dinner restaurants were plenty and happy hours were great. Great location in the middle of Mammoth Village. Comfortable beds. Air conditioning might be an issue if it were very hot because it is a freestanding unit trying to cool a 2 bedroom unit.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was great, and had dining and coffee amenities on its property--everything we needed right there.Genuine Expedia guest review
Even though we visited in July there was plenty of activities going on with Villagefest. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Topnotch facility!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great experience at The Village Lodge!"
My family and I visited the village Lodge in late July and just loved the hotel and surrounding Mammoth! We have two boys, ages 10 and 15, and they loved being able to mingle around the pool and hot tub, met some new friends and felt comfortable going off by themselves a bit. We liked the convenience of everything in the village, the room itself complete […] with kitchen, great king sized bed, TV's in each room (we were upgraded to a one bedroom from a studio, which was nice. I really appreciated the laundry room as we had done lots of hiking and biking and with boys, there was a lot of dirty laundry. Overall I would highly recommend this place. It was a highlight of out trip around Northern California! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
After looking at other places to stay in the area, I chose the Village based on the mostly positive reviews. My husband and I loved this place! The room was very clean, and we loved that we could walk downstairs for close restaurants, Starbucks, and family games (ping pong, chess, etc). Overall, it was a very nice place. We will stay again!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Too crowded and noisy"
This hotel is located on Lake Tahoe blvd so you hear the noisy traffic all day. Most rooms either face the street or parking lots.. Not the quiet relaxing vacation we had hoped for.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
