The staff was great, the location is great for a business person coming from the airport. The train is right across the street, and the main train station and buses and metro are right nextdoor too. BUT it is a cab (or metro or bus) ride from the historic area so be advised. Also, there is no gym/exercise room. And when it's cold in Lyon or snowing, your only choice is to eat :). It's in a very commercial area so there don't seem to be fine real French restaurants around. So the bottom line is, good for a business person with appointments close by. Not quite so good for tourists.

Nice hotel, centrally located, close to Metro stop. Booked a superior room and as is typical throughout many hotels in the EU, it was tiny. Had to go outside to change our minds. Barely enough room to walk around the double bed. Std. room' must be a sardine can. No soundproofing issues, fairly quiet. Front desk staff was exceptional and friendly. Plenty of pizza joints within a block or 2, which came in handy when we arrived late. Would stay here again.

Our family found the hotel excellent for the price. The bed and sofa bed were comfortable and good size. The bed room and the livving space are clean and large, but the kitchen is tiny, only allow 1 person working at a time. We didn't use the cafeteria but all front desk staff speak good English and helpful. The underground garage is tight for a mini van but managible and very secured - the elevator is code controled and you're given a key for the door. Immediate surrounding is quiet but there are family restaurants, supermarket and metro station right outside the hotel.

The hotel is a good value. Breakfast was reasonable and good. The in-room possibilties with hot plates , refrig. , dishes, silverware and pots made... staying longer a more affordable possibility. Good hotel for a night... Breakfast was good and it was easy to get a few pizzas at a nearby pizza place for a yummy dinner in (always good with kids!). Free and convenient parking was a bonus!

My family of four (2 adults, 2 teens) booked a family suite and were happy with this clean hotel with modern conveniences compared to many hotels in Europe - full sized tub/shower with a shower curtain & a kitchenette in a suite with a separate bedroom with a double bed, and another double bed in the main room. It's very hard to find hotels in Europe […] that will allow you to have a room with 2 teenagers & 2 adults. We don't want to double our room costs, so I always seek to find a hotel that will allow us all in one room. We were all happy to have a little privacy & a kitchenette at a reasonable price. This hotel is not within walkable distance of Old Lyon or the beautiful Parc de la Tête d'Or, so we drove everywhere. Free or cheap underground parking is available around the tourist areas of Lyon. The hotel is in the newer part of town which is not very scenic, but that was OK with us. The view out the window was of a big shanty town across the train tracks. But again it was convenience, space and affordability we were after, not luxury. The hotel was clean, the staff was helpful, and there is a laundry facility in the hotel available for a reasonable fee. Heads up, the washer cycle takes forever, but still kudos for convenience. If we didn't have a car, I'm not sure we would have liked it although the train station is nearby and the front desk agent told us we could take the bus to old Lyon. In short, the hotel is clean and functional but certainly not luxurious or scenic. Read more

Stayed for 3 nights. Basic hotel but well run. Staff helpful. Room was decent size. Located near main train station as well as subway. Not the usual run down area one associates with train stations. Did not notice any reasonable restaurants nearby. Underground parking available for a reasonable fee.

The Residhotel was very nice and exactly as described online. The only bother was that there was a very late check-in at 5:00pm and also it said check out noon, which I consider to be 12, but it was actually 11. Other than that, the stay was great!

Hello, Very Noisy, Main train/rail network located at back of hotel, goods trains going all day & night This hotel has very/ very poor e/mail / internet /phone connection and our room had a damp/ musky/bad smell during our stay . My Business Contacts could not connect to me by telephone as the incorrect tel number is on hotel leaflet and all they got […] was the hotel answering machine?. No soap/or shampoo in bathroom, our room was not cleaned, tidied or wet towels replaced during our stay, no porter in attendance, we could not contact hotel reception from our our room, you have go and stand in line for to ask a simple question The Lady at reception was very very rude and bad mannered to my husband when asked a question about making a telephone call. résidence vieillissante, la chambre donnait sur la voie ferrée et l'insonorisation était inexistante. Nous avons entendu les trains jusque tard dans la nuit. La literie est moyenne et les bouches d'aération, comme elles ne sont pas intégrées aux fenêtres mais dans le mur à côté des fenêtres, laissent passer de l'air froid, ce qui est très désagréable. […] D'autant plus que si l'on allume le chauffage, la soufflerie se met en route à intervalles réguliers, ce qui est très désagréable quand on dort. On met donc le chauffage au plus bas, et c'est un peu juste. Par contre, l'emplacement est très bien, proche des commerces et de la gare et l'hôtel dispose d'un parking. Hôtel très sympathiqye avec un personnel accueillant et disponible. Le tout proche de la Part Dieu. Seul hic à mon sens une literie trop dure et une chambre qui n'était pas très grande.

Chambre bien insonorisée (on n'entend ni les bruits de couloir, ascenseur, chambres voisines, ni même la rue et ses voitures!). Le lit est confortable. La chambre très propre, tout comme la vaisselle et le coin kitchenette. L'hôtel est bien situé par rapport à tous les transports en commun (bus, métro, tram et train), proche aussi du grand centre commercial […] de la Part Dieu. Personnel sympa, à l'écoute du client! Accueil chaleureux et très professionnel. Situation de l'apparthotel idéal pour visite car proche transports en commun. Et très surprise car chambre faite tous les jours alors que je pensais le contraire en étant dans un apparthotel. Très contente et surtout très bon rapport qualité prix.

Les fenêtres de notre appartement donnaient directement sur les voies, la vue n'était pas très agréable, mais on n'entendait absolument pas les trains depuis la pièce principale, où la ventilation soufflait. Depuis la chambre, on les entend peu. La chambre n'est pas climatisée. La climatisation n'est pas réglable (ayant séjourné en période de canicule, […] j'ai trouvé ces détails importants). La moquette n'est pas propre. La décoration est très vieillotte. Une fois le canapé déplié, la kitchenette est inaccessible. La connexion wi-fi est défectueuse, se coupe au bout de trente secondes, est vraiment insuffisante. En plus j'avais plusieurs appareils à connecter mais les codes ne peuvent servir que pour un appareil. Points positifs: il y a assez d'oreillers et de linge pour tous les occupants, une éponge, un torchon et du produit vaisselle sont fournis dans la kitchenette -ce n'est pas si courant- et la réceptionniste est extrêmement sympathique et disponible. vicino alla stazione della metro (150m) posto nella prima cintura. all'interno delle camere c'é una cucina per potersi preparare i pasti e di conseguenza risparmiare qualcosa. se tornerò a Lione probabilmente tornerò in questo economico hotel :)

Je descends très souvent à cet hôtel proche de la gare pour son prix. Néanmoins, le service de préparation des chambres laisse à désirer. Cela fait 2 fois que je me retrouve sans shampoing.

Avec un accès à leur parking sous-terrain pour un supplément ridicule, nous voilà fin près pour commencer la visite de cette belle ville de Lyon, grace a un réseau de transport en commun impressionnant, disponnible à quelque mètre de l'hotel. Mais avant la visite, on dépose nos valises dans notre chambre, et là, malgré un acceuil chaleureux des gérants […] , fort sympathique, l'odeur noséabonde en entrant dans l'appartement nous obliges à la méfiance...Le couloir extérieur remis à neuf récement nous avaient fait meilleur effet, mais là , c'est bien d'une remise en état des sols au plafond que l'on parle et qu'il va falloir exécuter rapidement s'il ne veulent pas perdre de la clientèle, car sinon au niveau de l'hygienne , aucun soucis, tout est propre que ce soit la kichenette, la salle de bain ou les wc, et même la literie qui y est excellente pour un hotel a ce tarif...L'urgence c'est la moquette, mais je suis sur que comme pour le couloir, des travaux sont prévus prochainement. En tout cas si je devais retourner dans cette ville ,j'irais à nouveau à cette adresse sans hésiter, car je sais que c'est une équipe sérieuse et qu'il s'occupe surement déjà des petits soucis rencontrés. Très bons souvenirs car nous étions en vacances pour visiter Lyon.L'hôtel est situé idéalement près de la gare Part Dieu,du centre commercial du même nom et des transports(pas de voiture pendant une semaine).Cette formule "appart hôtel"permet une liberté de mouvements sans trop dépenser.
