Our room had not been vacuumed. We could see light around 3 sides of the door, and the noise level was bad. There was only 1 person on the desk when we checked in, and she was overwhelmed. On check out we had to wait for someone to come to the desk, abut 10 minutes. The hot breakfast was OK, acceptable free hotel food. There was nothing other than gas […] stations and fast food close to this hotel. We checked out a night early due to the condition of our room and the lack of anything to do, or anywhere nice to go for graduation dinner. Hotel.com was great about refunding our night's stay. The Holiday Inn Express in Gas City is pretty much what you would expect. Rooms are kept clean, the beds are comfortable, and the staff is friendly. The free breakfast isn't the best, but its not bad. Overall I would say this hotel is definitely worth the relatively low cost.

I would have given this hotel 5 stars except for the cob webs in our room. They were huge and very noticeable and out bathroom wasn't that clean when we got there. Also it was hard to get front desk help cuz they were never at the counter when u needed them.

I was very disappointed in the hotel. First the door key would not work. Had to get the maid to open the door so I could put our stuff in the room. The lady at the front desk came up after my husband went down to complain about the door key. She came up and still couldn't get the key to work. Finally the maintenance man made new keys and got them to […] work. Finally the room did not have a fridge. Considering what we paid for the room it should have had that. We have stayed in other hotels, paid less and got better accommodations. after complaining to the front desk they did bring up a fridge and a microwave. Will never stay there again. Read more

The motel was in an excellant location. I was disappointed in the breakfast and the pool. There was a card in the room saying that they had bacon, omelts and sauage in the breakfast. They did not have this. The pool was cloudy. every thing else eas excellant.

It was perfect for our one night stay on our way to Indiana University. Easy access from the highway. Breakfast was just right, not crowded and had exactly what we liked. Room was clean and comfortable. The only problem was at check out the desk clerk was no where to be found. We had a few questions that went unanswered.

I must, say check-in was the fastest I have experienced. Very friendly person at the counter. The room was spacious, and clean, but there was a stain in the fabric of the seat cushion for the winged back chair in my room, that could have been removed. The free continental breakfast was hot, and a great selection to start your day.

The stay was nice but the whirlpool water was kinda cold. And the heater in the bathroom was old and rickety . Other then that things were fine. Love the Starbucks out front of the hotel.

We arrived at Holiday Inn and checked in easily with a wonderful young lady named Brit. She was the bright light of the stay!!!!! When we got to our room however we found a wet towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. Housekeeping was quick to take care of it and apologized. The next morning when we went to breakfast the staffing for that area […] was unfriendly bordering on rude. I had a juice glass inches from the dispenser and a gal with the key, not saying a word opened the door and started changing the juice. I ask for the juice she drained off and she said it was no good. I ask if I could try it before she threw it away. After several requests she finally gave it to me saying it wasn't good. It was fine and I drank it all. I had also ask for a late check out time when I reserved the room. I had to explain if they had been full the night before it would take them longer to clean all of the rooms anyway and they could clean our room last. Eventually the agreement was honored. When I left they were still cleaning rooms and not to mine yet. The room was comfortable and quiet not counting the irritations otherwise. Read more

Was once nice (not old) but really dirty. The chair in the room looked like 3/4 of the chair had something poured over it. The hallway smelled like stale smoke - to our non-smoking room.

We had some events in Muncie, but the hotels in the area were booked, so we went with the Holiday Inn Express in Gas City. The hotel is fairly new and the staff was helpful, especially Ginger. The hotel is right off I-69 plus, a Starbucks is located just on the other side of the hotel.
