Yes, the hotel suit is large and in fact very nice. However, the hotel service was terrible. We stayed Friday to Monday (3 nights) and we requested for our sheets and towels to be changed. They serviced the room just once. The second day the towels were just piled on the sink (not sure if they were the dirty towels folded) and the bed was not made. When I called to let them know of this the hotel receptionist very rudely said she will call me back, which she did and said "the cleaner said there was computer and wires every where on the bed" which was absolutely not true and I informed her of this. The hotel person then said "we give strict orders to our cleaners to not touch such things if left on the bed" completely ignoring what I just said so then I asked what was the excuse was for the towels to which she replied "we will send someone over to help". Someone did come and the first thing he said to us was "I don't do cleaning for the hotel"! Yeah great, what were we to do with that information? He did however change the sheets and the towels. The price was not worth the experience and aggravation.

We had a 2 bedroom suite, which was enormous! Nice open floor plan downstairs, good sized bedrooms and baths upstairs, the master had a jacuzzi tub and adjoining dressing room. Everything was spotless and sparkling clean. The floor to ceiling windows added a dramtic flair to the suite. Several eating and drinking establishments very nearby. You can walk to the center of town, also, a nice park by the river that has benches that overlook the dam. Unfortunately, Easton is not what you would call cosmopolitian by any means, but it has an eclectic mix of locals, shops, and resturants. You can see the depressed economy of a former factory town, but also a funky and progressive college town that is very unassuming, but at the same time, hopeful for the future.

I had booked another hotel and then I found this one and decided to cancel that reservation and book for the Grand Eastonian and we are so glad we did. It was wonderful having so much room after a five and half hour car ride with two kids. We were all able to spread out and they had their own bedroom. We also stayed an extra night. Great weekend.

I only had to stay in town for one night and my room here was way more than I needed, but the hotel staff were awesome. The room was bigger than some I apartments I have had, and it had all of the comforts of home. Snacks in the suite were reasonably priced and the hotel itself was charming.

We reserved our stay on the same date. We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious beautiful room (suite) and amenities, including a full kitchen. The only issue we had was with the AC in the main bedroom. It was very loud. We approached the front desk with this after the stay, apparently it has been brought to their attention and nothing has been done. Aside from that, we were disappointed about the limited hot water available for the hot tub. the drain stopper is not very user friendly, all our water went out and we couldn't get more hot water for the night.

My wife and I were looking to get away for a quick weekend, to somewhere that was near a few wineries. When we saw this on the web, it looked nice. We were expecting a small suite, with maybe a small kitchen. The place actually turned out to be huge and in great shape. It was very nice and very worthwhile. The people who work there are extremely nice and pointed out several things to do, and see, in the area. Definitely a place to try out if you are anywhere near the area. It's worth it!

Reviewed by Justin of Crawford on Sep 3, 2008
I believe I was the very first hotel guest this establishment has ever had. Consequently, my review should be read in that light. This building was a hotel since the 1920's before it closed down in the 1990's, then re-purchased and completely renovated as a Condo Complex. Condo's started going on sale a few years ago, then the housing bubble bursted and people got skiddish about buying condo's. In reaction to that reality, the investor's here have decided to furnish the unsold condo's and re-vamp their management to accommodate short-term and week-long guests in addition to continuing efforts to sell the condo's. In short, this isn't a true hotel, and should be viewed in that light. Were I to be put in charge of managing this site and converting it into an operation that ran it more like a 4 star hotel, there are a number of things I would do differently. For example, though I appreciate the environmental motivation behind their regulation of the water temperature of the showers and their locking off access to the room's temperature control, such measures may be annoying to many hotel guests. Furthermore, the television in my bedroom was not quite on par with the aesthetic of the rest of the room. A TV may not be an essential selling point for a condo, but it's usually the main focus of most hotel rooms - including at the Four Seasons and other 5 star hotels I've stayed at. They also need a website up and running, etc. Despite some minor criticisms I would probably address were I hired to manage the hotel, however, note that my overall rating of this establishment is very positive. I have stayed in similar arrangements before (condo/hotel hybrids) and was impressed by how closely they mirrored a hotel experience in comparison to other places I've stayed at. The staff was probably the single nicest group of people I have ever had the privilege of interacting with. And, of course, the quality of the rooms and furniture is vastly out of proportion with the price. The q
