This place was close to the airport, the front desk was very helpful and friendly and gave us a Geneva transport pass so we could freely get to the airport the next morning. It's convenient and located just off the Rue de Lausanne which has a fair amount of restaurants and bars and is about 500m from the train station. Rooms were quite nice, the showers are a little weird with a half glass but overall it worked really well for us.

The room was comfortable and clean. You could not beat the location and the view from the lake view rooms!!! It was a very memorable and very enjoyable visit!!! I can not say enough about the hotel and the hotel staff. The staff spoke many different languages which made interacting with them a breeze. Great hotel! I do plan on returning to it in the future!!!!!

Wonderful staff, very helpful. My wife broke her dental retainer the day we were leaving for Zermatt, the staff found her a dentist, made the appointment, and we were on our way within a couple hours, they were so wonderful. The hotel was beautiful and the location was great. The expense of the hotel and Geneva in general is a little shocking, but rate we got through Hotels.com was amazing. Way to go hotels.com!

I stayed at ths hotel for 18 days and it is a great alterntative to the expensive hotels across the border in Switzerland. The hotel is pretty barebones,... but very nice...like a super decent Motel 6. The room was really large and the couch was extremely comfortable (more so than it had any business being) and I even ended up sleeping on it a couple of nights. It's located in easy walking distance to the train station and main bus station (7 minute walk# and is located within a nice markety area filled with lots of little shops and open air promenades. This is an economical alternative to paying Geneva prices. If you sync up your schedule, you can catch a bus and tram from right outside the hotel to the center of Geneva in about 30 minutes, however you ought to know that bus service gets much more infrequent on Sundays. Free wifi is good, and I didn't find it an any of the other similarly priced […] hotels on my trip. Breakfast was better than I expected, but a little pricy. A bakery or cafe may be a better deal (though Geneva food is always expensive). The bathroom shower was awkward to use, with the showerhead attached at about waist level. Maybe the French know how to shower comfortably with such a setup, but I didn't. My knees got nice and clean, though. Read more

We wanted to visit Geneva, but hotels in Geneva are too expensive. So we stayed in Annemasse, France, just outside of Geneva (about 30 minutes by tram to the border, and a bus to hotel). The hotel was clean, our room was clean with a nice little bathroom. It costs about 5 francs for the tram and about 1.5 francs for the bus. We ate across the hotel […] at a turkish restaurant; they were very nice and the food was good. The only negative is: When we made reservation, we asked for a room facing away from the street, we wanted a quiet rest, but they still gave us a room facing the street, so you could hear the cars and people talking. The rooms were functional but fine. However, it took me 1.5 hours to get by public transport from the hotel to the UN area in Geneva (2 buses and 1 tram). The buses are also very infrequent later in the evening. I would not recommend staying here if you want easy access to the center of Geneva. Hotel was fine. The commute to Geneva is doable, but only if there are no other affordable options. Can be a little tricky to find from the main road, so be sure to have a map handy. Very nice breakfast, affordable too.

Had to find a hotel in/near Geneva but didnt like the Geneva prices. Found La Place in Annemasse on this web site and we were very pleased with it. Comfortable, very clean and close to bus stops. It took a bus and tram ride - about 45mins - to get to Geneva central, but worth the saving of over £100 per night each on a Geneva hotel.

Hôtel de catégorie moyenne, assez bien entretenu, rapport qualité - prix tout à fait acceptable, assez bien insonorisé, chambre simple mais lumineuse. Seul petit défaut, le matelas est très (trop) dur. Pour un court séjour c'est tout à fait recommandable.

建物の全体が古いが、部屋の中は綺麗でした。Wi-Fiをただで使わせていただけるのは一番良かったです。ただ、二つ星ホテルだからかが分かりませんが、冷蔵庫が置いてないのは残念でした。

Working now independently and spending my own money my travel budget has been drastically reduced and from staying in 4 & 5 star hotels with unlimited expenses. I have mostly been very pleasantly surprised to find that these budget hotels provide all the basic necessities one would expect for the price. Clean room (no carpet but wooden floor - better […] for allergy sufferers), good lighting, good air conditionning, clean bathroom, hot water with pressure. Matteress was very hard but slept OK. Did not try the breakfast. No complaints about neighbouring noise. It's a shame it's a little far from the centre of Geneva (takes 40 minutes to get to Rives station) with bus and then tram (cost €4). There is a 24h reception so you can arrive late (I arrived at 23.30). Read more

Für den Autosalon in Genf haben wir ein Hotel in näher Umgebung gesucht. Das Hotel ist mit dem Auto ca. 15 - 20 min von der Messe entfernt. Das Preis leistungs Verhältnis hat Super gepasst. Sur l'hôtel rien à redire; par contre problème rencontré pour le parking. les emplacements réservés aux clients de l'hôtel sont la plus part du temps pris par des personnes qui résident dans le département 74, d'ou problème de place disponible pour la clientèle de l'hôtel. Hotel La Place is situated closed to tourist places in France, Switzerland and Italy. But the hotel itself is situated on the noisy streets/junction, the room is not sound proof (we can hear the noise from the street and the room next door°, no air-conditioning (too hot during summer), the linens smelly ( may not be changed regularly) ....
