Great place to stay if you're in the area . Only reason I didn't give it all 5's - a bit of an odd smell in the room. Wasn't awful - but was a bit sharp. In a bit of an industrial park area - but plenty close by and so peaceful and quiet. Rooms are great - love the layout of them.

We were lucky enough to escape for two nights without the kids :) We kept hearing VERY loud banging on the wall. They were doing improvements on the room next door. The banging went on for HOURS. Also, despite leaving the "refresh room" tag on our door housekeeping didn't come by at all. We stayed here because all the hotels were sold out in downtown Hartford for a concert. I am so glad we stayed here though. Clean, clean, modern, quiet, comfy! It's not in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. So there's free and ample parking. There are so many seating areas and even a fire place in the lobby. Free complimentary breakfast which […] changes every morning. Mon-Thurs they also have a social happy hour with free food and drinks. In your room you are provided with a list of local restaurants that will deliver. But there is also many restaurants within a 2 minute drive. The hotel is only an 8 minute drive from downtown Hartford. The room is amazing full kitchen, comfy bed, huge bathroom with spacious shower! We loved it! Very clean but the space was much smaller than I expected. Breakfast was simple but satisfying. I had a problem getting the room temperature right as it was either too hot or too cold.

Staff was accomadating and the room was laid out nicely. I liked having the kitchen. It was a very clean room that was more than just a room to sleep in it was a space you could work and live in for a few days without missing some of the comforts of home. Over all just pleasant.

Would say it was perfect, except for the minor disappointment that when I asked at check-in if there were any places to eat close by, the desk clerk didn't mention that there was a very nice Happy Hour food spread available right there in the hotel. After we drove off to find some dinner, we came back and saw what we had missed.

The staff was friendly and helpful. This was the nicest room we have stayed in, without going to a timeshare resort. Our only complaint was if two people took back to back showers, the second had periods low pressure.

Had to wait 10 minutes to check in b/c only one person at front desk. First room they gave us stunk, like body odor. In room phones are mis-programed, so that a call to front desk goes to the messaging center. No way to contact front desk from room, and had to walk down to lobby. Door into bath is loft-style sliding barn door, which is difficult to […] move, and gets stuck. No mini bar, no lounge, purely BYO. Room layout is otherwise very functional, with living and sleeping areas separated by wall equipped with swiveling TV. But TV did not get anything other than very basic channels. Full kitchen is probably good if you to stay for multiple days, and cook for yourself -- which I cannot imagine anyone doing. But there are no good restaurants nearby, so a possibility. wish i was able to check in earlier to use the pool or gym but had a late check in and early check out for a flight. The shuttle wasn't running at 6:00 am so the hotel called in a town car service for a comfortable ride to the airport.

Overall the hotel was a great value. However, the paper thin walls, horrible shower pressure and standard bed made my overall experience in my room sub-standard. Hotel was very clean, no smell, and very comportable bed. The receptionist upgraded to a bigger room so that we can be more comportable with my son and my friends son at no extra cost, which was very nice. Breakfast buffet was good but because of Thanksgiving, it was short staff.

I stayed here for three nights in Nov. 2011. I had an excellent stay for an excellent price! I was traveling with my two teen-aged sons. When we arrived the power was out. The very nice young woman at the front desk immediately told me she was upgrading us due to the inconvenience of the power being out (the power came back on about 4 hours later). […] I was thrilled to be upgraded. That was a nice touch. Our suite was huge! Large living room with a super comfortable sectional couch with an ottoman. The couch was a pull out sleeper. There was also a large kitchen with a great table area to sit and eat. The bedroom was huge with two queen sized beds. There was also a desk in the room. It was great to have so much space. The bathroom was very nice with plenty of space on the counter for everyone's toiletries. The shower was very large and nicely tiled. We were in town for college interviews/visits. My mom drove down from MA and booked her own room. It was so nice after a long day of college tours to be able to come back to the hotel and visit with my mom while sitting on a comfortable couch! Sure beats sitting on hotel beds in a typical hotel room. The included breakfast was another nice amenity. Perfect for a mom with two hungry boys! The choices are plentiful and include hot and cold items. They also have a social gathering Monday through Thursday. We arrived on a Thursday and after a long day of flights from Denver it was great to be able to have dinner for free! The staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. They were very quick to help in any way they could. One note: The hotel allows dogs. The first day we were there a dog in the room next to us barked for several hours. I did mention it to the front desk and they immediately called up to the room. We did not hear the dog again the rest of the stay. I would definitely stay here again! I must admit that I was a bit surprised by the overall quality and comfort of this hotel. Attention to detail regarding the room was obvious. Little things like providing sufficient space on the sink area for all your toiletries was one. The kitchen area was very nice, as well as the living room area. I never heard a sound from adjoining rooms or from traffic, although it is located far enough away from the highway. The free breakfast was great.
