I had to make a very short trip (2 days) to Marseilles from San Francisco and needed a place to assure me of good sleep, access to WiFi, and a good breakfast. The Palm Beach which is right on the water provided all of these plus a very relaxing resort-like atmosphere. The hotels only drawback is its location - well outside the city center. I am sure this is not a problem for the bulk of its European clientele but it is a drawback for those of us who love to walk and explore the city.

The Hotel Belle Vue has a perfect location right on the old port. Each room as at least a small view of the port and Notre Dame de la Guarde. Easy access to sights and trains. The room was no larger than a postage stamp but it was wonderfully adventurous and quaint. Great for a getaway. Courteous and friendly staff. Lots of nearby restaurants.

Spent a little extra money on this hotel but was glad I did. Staff were awesome, especially the guy with the girlfriend in Paris. Thanks for all your help! Only problem we had was a stuck valve on shower, but we didn't even complain about it because we were having such a good time.

"Für 4 Sterne ganz OK"
Das große Plus des Hotels ist die Lage und das es über einen Pool verfügt. Die Zimmer sind modern und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Der Service ist freundlich, aber behäbig. Wir waren einmal im Restaurant des Hauses essen, was keine Offenbarung war. Hier fanden wir Preis-Leistung nicht stimmig.
