Dublin Airport is 10 kilometres north of the city centre. It is a relatively small but busy and expanding gateway, and is undergoing major redevelopment, with a new terminal to be added in 2010. An Airlink bus service provides a direct connection with Dublin city centre in around 30 minutes.

This is an exceptional deal for Ireland. Everything worked out as prior reviewers commented. Printing out our boarding passes was easy at their business center and my brother-in-law who ate at the resturant thought it very tasty. We suspect the bedding is hypo-allergenic because my husband did not have trouble sleeping - unlike most of our 2 wk trip.

Convenient to the airport with shuttle service every twenty minutes, but don;t expect much and you won't be disappointed. This is an extremely modern hotel with few amenities. The restaurant is sterile and institutional in both ambiance and food quality; the rooms are comfortable without even a bar of soup (just liquid soap in the shower), one bath towel per person, no hand towels or wash cloths. I'd recommend this hotel as a good place to spend the night prior to an early flight the next morning, but try to eat elsewhere.

The shuttle drivers were all very helpful getting us to the airport so we could take the town bus to explore and helping us with a lot of baggage the next day. We had an early flight from Dublin and picked this hotel for the location, and the 24 hour shuttle bus. The hotel was immaculate inside, although a bit concrete outside. We were on the 8th floor and had amazing views over Dublin. The rooms were clean, well stocked and comfortable and came with an iron, ironing board, trouser press, tea and coffee making facilities and a double bed and a single. The beds were comfy and the linen was spotless. The shuttle bus is fast and even at 4am was frequent. We only had two issues with this hotel. Firstly they put our wake up call through at 3.30am not 3am, and secondly they don't have room service. You have to go to the brasserie downstairs and order your food and carry it back up. Food is only a little more expensive than at a mid-range chain restaurant in Ireland, and was very nice although the portions were bigger than we could handle. A taxi from Houston station cost us e20, or a famly rambler ticket is e10, and then you can get the free shuttle bus from the airport back to the hotel. We will be staying here every time we need to fly out of Dublin in future.

Reviewed by Michelle of Los Angeles on Aug 31, 2009
I've stayed at most of the Dublin airport hotels and this one is probably the best. The convenience of the 24 hour shuttle (every 20 min to and from the airport) is the key. With other hotels in the area that offer that service, I've had to end up taking cabs (which are not cheap-- even going less than 3 miles)because shuttles were so few and far between. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere (although I suppose it's nicer looking at a field of cows than an industrial park) which means the only food/services you get are at the hotel. There is no store (that I saw or read about) but there are two "restaraunts" one casual (you're actually eating in the big lobby "living room" and one a bit more "upscale" (although not much). The food was fine, the drink was good. There is NO room service, but you can ask for a tray so that you can take your food/drink back up to your room to enjoy it. The room I was in was a "family room" and it was larger than any other family sized room I've stayed in at other Dublin airport hotels. There was a table and chairs for eating and a small couch (don't know-- may have pulled out to bed?) The room had a double bed and a single bed and with all this, it didn't seem as cramped as others I'd been in. It's a very efficient hotel in both space and operations (shampoo/soap is in dispenser in shower, the alarm clock is in the tv, you have to put your room key in the light switch to turn any lights on). Overall, I really liked the hotel and this will most likely be the place we stay every time we fly out of Dublin.

I felt from the photos provided that the hotel would be more than average, however, the hotel rooms are standard - fewer "creature comforts" than is usual, but they are clean and spacious. We were there during a hot streak -- no AC; windows open but expose you to noise from other rooms. Staff friendly -- restaurant food very good -- but service was very slow, despite large numbers of staff. Airport shuttle convenient and efficient!

Bewleys' was perfect for our overnight stay after getting in to Dublin Airport very late. It was great to find a comfortable & clean room, lovely fluffy duvet! The only fault I would have is that it took me 20 mins to find the courtesy bus. I tried calling the hotel from the courtesy phone in the terminal but there was no reply. I could find buses for the Radisson & the Clarion very easily. It would be great if Bewleys could have some sort of advertising in the airport to direct you.

Only negative was the parking charge which we did not see disclosed anywhere on the booking, since it was out of the city we expected not to have a parking fee. Wrong. There is no way to even check in without pulling a parking ticket so be forewarned if you're driving you will be paying it. There is a convenient shuttle to the airport however. Had we known we would have just picked up our rental car the next morning before heading out of town. Otherwise, very nice hotel.

It was clean and comfortable, and with the 24 hour airport shuttle running every 15 minutes, it was extremely convenient for a 1 night layover. I arrived after the hotel's restaurant closed, but they still had sandwiches and snacks at the bar. The front desk also provided 4 options for delivery from pizza and chinese restaurants in the area. They even dialed out the number when I was ready to order. I'm not sure if I had good timing, or if the shuttle was just running more frequently than advertised, but I didn't have to wait for the shuttle to and from the airport.

We got there for the early bird special (5-7:30PM) and paid only 25 euro per plate for an appetizer and main course (we both had the Irish ribeye, it was delicious!).
