Admiral room for 4 nights. Clean room with dirty balcony. Breakfast was good and various. WiFi slow and unreliable. This hotel like Amari Residences Sukhumvit. But Amari is better.

I couldn't go to 5 on a couple of areas because of two things: 1. We did have some trouble with the A/C in one of the rooms, but the staff did a great job addressing it both times it broke down. Very friendly and helpful. 2. Breakfast was good, but seemed a bit thin on options. It was OK and nice setting, but when busy, it was sometimes hard to get […] to things. Otherwise, this is fabulous family hotel. The 9th floor suites are particularly well placed and provided easy access to a very nice pool. We enjoyed the quick dip and the small exercise facility with tread, bicycle, and weights. Hotel is very convenient to Westin and Terminal 21, sky train and subway. Spotlessly clean. Great outdoor rooftop pool with pleasant open view to other tall buildings not far away. Room very spacious (got a free upgrade, but i think the regular ones are also very spacious, only difference being the kitchenette). Huge bed, couch, lots of desk space. Large fridge. A/C. Balcony (not needed though. Perfectly quiet. Nice welcoming […] by the staff, with towel and tasty cold tea. Location is on quiet street with easy access to Sukhumvit. Sky train is a 5 minute walk away. Unfortunately so is Soi Cowboy, but it is easy to avoid/ignore. Maybe 15 minute walk to the better Soi 11 area with bars. Many other fine bars and restaurants within a very cheap taxi ride or reasonable walking distance. There are also 2-3 exercise machines by the pool. Two complaints: Wi-fi was so-so. And water from shower leaked around bathtub onto floor. Padding with towels helps, but it really badly designed. Also, bed was quite hard, like many hotels in Asia. I booked this hotel because of the great reviews but was disappointed with my stay. This hotel is an average hotel in the mid-price range in Bangkok and I know of many more in this category which are better. The neighborhood is not nice since the hotel is surrounded by an abandoned building with trash all around and other buildings which are under construction […] and thus is noisy during the day. This hotel makes a special effort to get reviews with Tripadvisor.com since I saw a prominent sign in the room requesting guests to contact tripadvisor. The room needed re-modeling since everything is old-fashioned. The shower is terrible since the curtain did not work and the bathroom got pretty wet each time I showered. The tuk-tuk service was very good. Breakfast was adequate but nothing special since almost all hotels provide very good breakfast buffets in Thailand. Overall, a disappointment which will not encourage me to stay there ever again. Read more

Upon check in at the hotel, we got a complementary upgrade to a suite. Staff was very polite and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Complementary tour as well was offered to Grand Palace. Short walk from the skytrain station. In short, very nice hotel, great value for money, highly recommended.

We had a great stay at the Admiral Premier in Bangkok during an extended layover. The room was great, very comfortable. The rooftop pool was quite nice with a real nice view, and the staff warm. Stayed at Admiral Premier for 3 nights in July 2011. The staff is extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They were always willing to answer questions and provide directions. Breakfast was average, but the service is superb. The AC broke down once on our last night, but they sent someone to fix it and it was fixed in 10 minutes. I think the bottle waters in the refrigerator are free, but please ask, we only used one bottle of water. Second. the area around the hotel is okay to good. I didn't feel danger or didn't see alot of criminal activity. I felt safe to walk around, but its very dark so please use caution at night. The side walks are horrible in Bangkok, so be aware that walking is difficult but try to avoid taxis, they will try to nickle and dime you. Use the front desk to get a taxi or use there tuk-tuk service. Tip the driver. Third, "extra over night guests", I'm talking to the single men. The hotel will not bother you with this and will not charge extra, but remember the hotel has families there too and please be discrete and keep your voices down walking through the hallways. The hotel has a problem with "extra" towels. I showered like 3 times a day because of the heat. So I just go up to the 9th floor and grab several towels from the pool area. We’ve got the premier suite with bathtub and shower combination. The comfort room is clean & tidy but water flows down to the floor when you shower. When we arrived we barely touched anything. We took pictures and I’ll share it here. The arrange was great with tables, a sofa bed & a mini patio. The room has LCD TV, strong wi-fi connection, dvd player and a complete kitchen with electric stove, water heater, drinking glass, spoon, fork, plates and even a can opener. The king bed was to die for. We had a great sleep for the last 3 nights we stayed there. For the breakfast buffet, the menus were the same. They’ve got the breakfast cereals, juices, milk, fruits, selections of breads, butter, jellies and a coffee-maker. Of course they serve rice, some thai recipes that you can try, sausage, eggs, bacon, potatoes etc. I wish they can explore more by changing the menu everyday since most guests stay for more than 2 nights. For the gym & pool it’s located on the 9th floor. Don’t expect too much from the gym coz they only have 3 machines and lots of dumbbells just enough to make you sweat. Read more

I have stayed six weeks total at Admiral Premier over the last couple of years. Admiral Premier has everything. The hotel is in a great location on a quiet part of Sukhumvit Soi 23 only steps from two train lines, great food and nightlife. I choose this hotel as it was near to terminal 21. But I realise the distance is about 850m and it can be quite a distance to walkl at night. Luckily they provide tuk tuk service to terminal 21. A well-located hotel being just a 10 minute walk from the Suhkumvit MRT (underground) and Asok (skytrain) stations. This hotel provided a good base during a 3-day visit to Bangkok. Given how dirty, smelly and noisy this city is it was nice to come back to somewhere clean and friendly! For the price the quality is very good indeed and the roof pool provided […] a nice place to cool off at the end of the day. The hotel offers free WiFi and from reading a number of reviews often upgrades people (as happened with me also). The only slight let down was the quality of the morning buffet breakfast. Admiral Premier hotel is in a great location. Only a short walk to many attractions. On the same block is an excellent day spa for both mem and women. Short walk to the Sky Train as well to get around. If it is too hot to walk the hotel has it's own Tuk Tuk to take you. You need to book this as it is busy sometimes. The only down side is the showers […] above the bath. The bath is higher than the edge so water runs out onto the floor. Otherwise rooms are great. The top floor has a pool and there is public washing machines and dryers. Fairly quiet location although in March 2012 there was a construction site next door. Small price to pay. Read more
