"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.
"Another Good Experience"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
My wife and I have stayed at the Courtyard in Mahwah three of the last four years to attend the NEAF astronomy show at the Rockland Community College in Suffern, just a few minutes away. We've always had good a experience and this stay was no different. The recent renovations definitely spruced the hotel up. The pool and spa area was nice, although the acoustics in the room left my ears ringing after a group of children in the pool were not using their "indoor voices." Our room was very clean, everything worked well, including the internet connection (which is a wired connection) and having a Dunkin Donuts right next door makes a stay here worthwhile in my humble opinion! Just grab a coffee and a bagel sandwich and go. The rates are competitive with other hotels in the area. If someone on here rates the hotel low, they must be comparing it to a five-star city hotel or maybe a destination resort. It's not that, but it is a clean and decent place to stay while traveling for business or short-term pleasure. I believe we will stay there again next year.

We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.

"One odd clerk spoiled the stay at Capri Inn"
The clerk at the front desk during my checkout was not so friendly and he was trying to give me problems, thus trying to charge me even some more money for checking out twenty minutes after 1100am. My booking came with a special request and I did not have to leave until 1200pm, but that clerk did not check his records and tried to waste my time at the […] front desk. Other clerks were so friendly and attentive to my concerns. Read more
"new years eve 2012 Capri Inn Little Ferry NJ"
My girlfriend and I had made last minute reservations and I wasnt sure what to expect. There was a bit of confusion as we checked in but the room was clean and comfortable. We didnt really need service for anything so not sure how that is but in all we had a nice stay in a pleasant atmosphere.
"Capri Inn"
As stated by almost everyone, the location is ideal. The actual hotel is nothing to write home about, but if your driving there the free parking is well worth it. The rooms were in decent shape, and the hallways smelled like cigarette smoke. All in all the hotel location and price are great considering my girlfriend and I were on a tight budget and […] we spent almost all of our time in the city anyways. Be sure to know which bus you will need and what time they run at. Read more
"Stay at Capri Inn . . TG for great check-in staff"
Stay at Capri Inn . . . TG for great check-in staff My daughter and drove from Maine--> New Milford NJ--->Little Ferry NJ and stayed at the Capri Inn. We had an arduous trip (in process of moving to New Milford NJ). Many things went wrong with the trip. However staying at the Capri Inn was a godsend. We were so very fatigued and the front desk person […] really helped make up for it. What a personable individual...speaks well for the hotel management. We ended staying another night because of a HUGE obstacle we had in moving into our place in New Milford. Also the Minado Sushi Restaurant (all you can eat buffet with quality of the utmost) is a MUST next door!!! Read more
"Capri Inn - Little Ferry, NJ"
Decent little hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, decent location.
Hallway smells cigarette. It's difficult to find the room location , poor lighting. Please improve cleanliness and lighting. Convenience and accessibilty to NJ transit bus is very good..the best.
"Hotel in ghetto"
I came from AR and I was highly disappointed in not only location but in quality. The owner was not helpful and done right rude when we asked for help with directions. There was blood and other such substances that I found when I pulled the covers back. Can I say disgusting !!!!!! The cops we saw down the street told us to go get our stuff and stay […] somewhere else because it wasn't safe. And they rent by the hour to hookers , need I say more !!!!! Read more

"Not close to any sights"
The hotel was about an hours bus ride away from the city. The price was right and the condition was good on the inside. the walls were super thin though and we had some annoying boys stay up till 4:30 a.m. making lots of noise.
This was a family vacation for one night and one day so it was not for very long but just the one night was enough to get a feel of the room. The beds were comfortable but the rooms were really really small. The room I was suppose to get had two doubles but I put in a special request for two queens and they fulfilled that. I thought that was very curtious. […] Their continental breakfast was nothing but a packaged danish and their coffe was horrible. Overall it was decent for one night. I would not stay the week. We will most likely stay in New York next year. Read more
"Very clean and Comfortable"
The motel looks old from outside, but the room was very clean. We had a standard king bed, non smoking and it was very comfortable and didi not smell of cigaretes. The price is very reasonable and the hotel staff are friendly. I would recommend it to those on a budget !!

"serves the purpose- a night's stay at a good price"
If you need a decent place on the cheap then this is the right place. Not too far from the George Washington bridge or the new Met life football stadium. Spacious rooms, clean, not noisy, plenty of free parking. There is a japanese buffet very close by and I am told it is good but did not get a chance to try it. No breakfast so had to go out and get […] it in the morning. Read more

"Just what you would expect."
I was in NJ for business twice this summer. The first time I spent the big bucks to stay at the Teaneck Marriott, which was nice, but twice as expensive as this place. I decided to go cheap for my return trip, so I chose the Capri Inn. I expected it to be a lesser place, and I was correct. Having said that, this place works just fine as long as your […] expectations aren't too high. The check-in process was pleasant, the staff was helpful with directions and accomodated my request for a no-smoking room without any attitude. This is more like a motel, with the doors on the inside of a creepy, outdated, and slightly funky-smelling hallway. It seemed like it might have been a shiny new hotel of the future - back in 1973? You get an old fashioned metal key instead fof a keycard, which was kind of neat. Upon entering the room, I was surpised to find a microwave, minifridge, ironing board, TV, some furniture, and a quite comfy bed. I always pull the headboards off the wall to check for bed bugs, none to be found in this room, yay! The place had an outdated feel, and a slightly musty smell. It's the kind of room you want to keep your slippers any time you aren't in the shower or bed because the carpet just looks like it's a haven for germs. By the fourth night, I had been there long enough and I wanted to go home. The location was very convenient, and the staff was friendly. I saved over $300 by switching from the Marriott. I would highly recommend this place, as long as you know what you are getting into and you are alright with that. Save some money by sacrificing some comforts. Read more
"no sights at all."
The place in an instance looks deplorable. could certainly use new paint. Can't say much about the rooms, felt itchy in both nights. When I left realize left something behind and contact the place, now nobody wants to contact me back about the missing item. I will not recommend this place to anyone.

"Convenient location"
In respect of location/price/quality ratio Capri Inn is the best in Manhattan surroundings. First, about the location. Buses 165 & 165T are just across the street and take directly to Manhattan center. Last bus back is at 1:00am, so don't party too long. :) Navigating inside the hotel is confusing. It's one long corridor with lots of turns. Parking […] is ample. There's a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways. However, non-smoking rooms are not penetrated by the smoke. Room is sufficiently large, decent TV & cable, microwave, iron & fridge. Ice costs 25 cents. There's an onsite restaurant, but ShopRite grocery and liquor stores are few blocks up. I was very satisfied with the place. It's very similar to Super 8 or Motel 6 chains and costs just as much. Read more
"GOOD HOTEL FOR PRICE"
ROOM WAS COMFORTABLE AND QUIET.SLEEP WAS RESTFULL AND TV HAD A GOOD SELECTIONOF PROGRAMMING. PARKING WAS VERY ADEQUATEAS WELL. THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE IS THAT THE LAMPS AT THE BED DID NOT WORK AT ALL.
"Bed bugs"
The photos of this establishment did not represent what was in store for me and my girlfriend. The room was dark due to the dark wall paper and dark carpeting. Even the lamps in the room could not improve the lighting. The bed is old and in it's prime was higher but now lower to the ground. My girl friend needed a blow dryer but was told that we would […] have to wait until check out time at 12:00 pm to get it. Yet I was told that every one else was asking for a blower too. The piece d' resistance was when I got home and foolishly rested my bag on my bed. I later discovered a "Bed bug" creeping on my bedsheet - Ech! My next step is to inform the NJ Board of Health. "Actually not bad"
I stayed here on business (one night), and didn't feel like forking over gobs of New York prices for a 3 or 4 star. It was perfect. Clean, quiet, well-run. No...it's not the Ritz. But you don't need a second mortgage to make a reservation, either. I'd stay here again.

"For the money."
Our expectations were low and we were not disappointed. It was a cheap motel, but the room was clean and the mattress was comfortable. For the money it was a fair deal.
"Smell awful for allergy suffers."
There was a musty smell at the entrance. The rest of the hotel had a super strong smell of deodorizer mixed with the musty smell.
"Capri Inn-perfect via route stop for a long trip."
The most important thing for me on a long trip is to get a good restful sleep. The rooms at the Capri Inn are very well insulated from noise. I booked for 2 days, starting on a Friday and paid for a third day because it was so peaceful. Friday night and Saturday night had a decent amount of cars in the parking lot but I didn't feel like I was part of […] a threesome with the people next door. Read more

"Future health inspector rates you POOR >1"
I had no time research for myself and I was using hotel.com for my last 3 stays in the past 3 weeks. Need a place to stay for a wedding. I had 3 kids with me and I would not recommend this to anyone. Very smoky though reserved a non smoking room, all kinds of characters walking around, my room was not cleaned when I arrived midnight beer bottle cap […] on sink , hand towel crumpled used, beverage in trash can and sheets looked like last guest tried their best to make the bed after a short stay. ( so you know what I was thinking.) Front desk not curtious, handed me another set of keys and was like this is all I have they all look the same. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Though you might feel a little secure with the cop car off in the cut faceing the parking lot. Read more
"Convenient place for NYC tourists"
Not the best place to stay but still nice for visiting NYC. There is a very convenient bus stop right in front of the motel and the neighborhood is ok. A supermarket in front of the motel is also very convenient.

"Capri Inn - Very dirty"
Room and service were unprofessional. The people at the front desk were unfriendly. The hallway and room stank of cigarettes among the odors. The lighting in the hall and room were poor. The room itself was not clean; there were visible stains on the bed sheets. The bed was stiff and very uncomfortable. "Great Price Clean Hotel Easy Busride to NYC"
We have stayed at several low cost hotels surrounding NYC in New Jersey and Brooklyn, and I would have to say this is my favorite. It was lost cost but clean and safe. You just walk across the street to take the bus directly to NYC. You can plan your trip with the New Jersey Transit website, and they even have a mobile trip planner you can use on your […] cell phone. You can pay cash for the bus in New Jersey, but you have to buy tickets at the Port Authority to go back to New Jersey from New York. They don't accept cash at the Port Authority. Be careful which bus you take from the Port Authority and remember which gate you get off at when you arrive in New York. It's probably best to stick with Bus 165 because that takes you right to the hotel. If you take a different bus, make sure to ask the bus driver if he stops in Little Ferry. Happy Travels in NYC! "Capri Inn"
First of all we found it was a Motel... this was quite disappointing, but all the services were in line with the price paid. It was a very quick stay, only overnight, but for a longer stay it is hard to recommend it.
"Great room for the money. Better Service Needed at the Front Desk."
Positives: Cheap rates. Spacious room, large bed, overall clean room. Good water pressure. Good cleaning service. Negatives: Front desk service lacking in hospitality - a little smile would be nice given it's only the afternoon. Surrounding neighborhood not much there - highways and car dealerships.
"AC , lighting"
Dark room even with all lights on and AC was not very effective

"Great for those wanting to visit NYC"
As a young couple on a budget, we chose this hotel in Little Ferry, NJ to stay at while visiting NYC. There is a bus stop right outside of the hotel that goes into NYC only 8 blocks from Times Square. Becareful, though! Manhattan Transit Authority has a new policy that you cannot purchase tickets on buses, you must buy them ahead of time. So prepare […] for that! The room was clean, the staff was decently friendly. Close to gas stations and plenty of places to eat. Next to a weird "Valu Mart" kind of department store, but I felt safe leaving my vehicle as we went into NYC. The property has plent of cameras inside and out, as you can see when checking in. No bed bugs--as the mattresses were lined with plastic, so that was nice! Room included a microwave and frige as well as cable TV including HBO. Will stay again someday! Read more

"Commute into Manhattan instead of paying Manhattan rates"
Inexpensive hotel and no-frills experience. Good enough for a place to sleep and shower. Bus stop is very close for commuting to Manhattan. The area was mostly deserted outside at night, and nobody was hanging out on the […] street, so it seemed fairly safe to be there. Read more

"Great room for the money"
I expected this hotel to be a "get-what-you-pay-for" hotel but it definitely wasn't. I was very satisified with my stay at the Capri Inn. The room was clean, the service was on point.
