Although a bit on the expensive side, the Intercontinental Bali Resort offers a very rewarding experience in terms of its location, excellent facilities and soothing surroundings. This was a very satisfying resort, exactly the type of beach vacation you would expect. Their grounds are enormous and graceful, and right along the beach. Staffs are polite, helpful and friendly. We were staying at the Singaraja room which was spacious and clean. But when we first got into our room, a staff knocked on our door and came in with his key to check the mini bar and fridge before we can even answer the door. I know there are a lot of flies in Bali, but i really wish they can do something about it at the restaurant/buffet area. Foods were okay at the Jimbaran Gardens, but have expected more from the Xmas Eve buffet. I picked up some roast sirloin beef, had a bite and figured out it was lamb (I don't eat lamb and can really tell the difference). I went back and asked the server if they've labeled it wrong but they were pretty sure it was beef until I told them it sure didn't taste like one. Then another server said they were serving both lamb and beef at that same station. I think they should do better with the food label since there are people who don't eat certain meat with certain reasons. Love the main pool! Sunset was amazing at the Jimbaran beach. For what you pay - you can get a much better quality elsewhere! The hotel is a maze, difficult to find room. Rooms are out dated, breakfast was ok - have had better for half the price. The worst thing about this place is that staff are not well trained - although generally quite friendly, their communication is appalling. We wanted to go to their complimentary […] yoga which we were told was at 8am. So we wake up early to go take the class where we were told it was at a certain location. Spoke to the person there who told us the class was at 7am, then said it was at a different location. Then went to the front desk where they said we needed to take a buggy to a different part of the hotel. We get there and the yoga instructor himself, after speaking to front desk, said there was NO class on that day. I mean really - is it that hard??!! We also paid $25 for internet access - the wifi didn't work. Value for money wise this hotel is a joke - with the many choices of resorts to choose from don't stay here - for the same amount of money stay at Ayana instead! Beautiful hotel property and location, but not so nice rooms. Lower level staff are very nice and responsive but the front desk and concierge are not efficient and did not provide good service. Mixed feelings about the stay - the beachfront property and pool were quite pleasant but felt the hotel was overpriced for the level of service you get.

Hotel is on a beautiful beach and only 15 minutes from the airport. Hotel staff was incredible. everyone was friendly and helpful. I love the heavenly bed at Westin, but my wife and I are looking for their pillows - best pillow ever. They have three pools although we spent most of our time in the big pool next to the ocean. We hold our wedding reception in InterContinental Hong Kong. And I always stay in the ICG hotel group. That's why we chose to spend the first night of our honeymoon in InterContinental Bali last Friday. When we reached the hotel by taxi, there were at least 5 bell staff in the entrance. However, none of them came over to offer us any help for my luggages. […] We were checked in in the lobby and served the welcome drink which is nice. But the reception staff just gave us a map of the resort and told us where was our room from the map instead of asking anyone or himself to show us to our room. That's definitely not the standard of InterContinental. Because this is our honeymoon stay, the hotel gave us a bottle of speckling wine and few strawberries. They also put some flowers on our bathtub which were quick nice. We went out to the town and checked out the night clubs in the town and went back to the resort at about 12 mid-night. When we were getting ready to get our shower and bath. Suddenly, the whole room black out. We went to the balcony and check if this was only our room or the whole resort. We found out more than half of the resort actually run out of electricity. We called the operation and tried to understand what was happening. However no one answered the phone at all. There was no flashlight provided in the room which I suppose is one of the standard amenities of a hotel room. So I used the LED light of my iPhone to help me to walk in the dark all the way to the reception. There was no staff on the front desk, so I shouted if anyone was there. Then one reception staff came out from the back office and told us they also didn't know what was happening. I asked if they could at least provide us some candles as the room was completely dark. The receptionist said he would asked someone to send that to us. The hotel is amazing. Had a fantastic honeymoon staying at Intercon. They have a great pool w/ poolbar, great activites like tai chi, staff were very helpful and friendly, polite, Right on the beach close to the seafood restaurants. Cons: a bit far from shops, and should of included free breakfast!

Only had a short break planned in Bali, wanted to try somehwere different (to the usual Seminyak) and also wanted to stay right near the beach. was recommended to try Nusa Dua area. Was nervous about overpriced large resorts. My experience at Intercontinental defintely changed my mind! Great price on Hotels.com and the resort looked very relaxing on […] the web. Was blown away with how beautiful and relaxing this resort really is. As soon as you arrive you feel relaxed - the staff appear genuinely happy and want to ensure your stay is a good one. This resort goes out of their way to make your stay a good one - we asked them about attending a local purifcation ceremony at a local temple and they provided traditional attire and 2 of the conceirge attended with us on their day off - a rich and special experience. Pools are great as is the pool bar, lounge chairs, manicured lawns, trees everywhere, yoga in the morning if you want, bike rides if you want, gamelan (traditional music instruments) played at sunset, restaurant venues are great as is the food, windsurfing (be aware not much wind) and body boarding down at the beach, massage tents on the beach. Got sun-burn out in the water = spa time= sun goddess treatment which is possibly the best treatment I've had anwhere in my travels (skilled technique, tranquility, product, foot washing, body wrap in aloe, head massage, body massage with lotion, mini facial) Room very comfy and modern whithout being over the top. Anyway spent most time outside! Very peaceful resort. I live in a big city so spending time in a very natural place like this that is so close to the beach and so many options for activities (including those that involve doing nothing!) was perfect. 3日間滞在しました。日本人スタッフも居たり、日本語を話せる現地の方も居て、全くストレス無く過ごせました。海も目の前で一日ノンビリ過ごせるホテルで満足です。 気になったのは掃除とメンテナンス。 部屋の電灯のスイッチが反応しなかったり、電球や細かい所にホコリが溜まってたので、もう少し細かくメンテナンスをして欲しい。 非常にもったいない。 ホテル内での食事や飲み物が高過ぎる。 ホテル外に出て食事すると、値段に差がありすぎる。 もう二割安いと私は納得できる価格帯になるかと。 ですが、基本的にはまた泊まりたいホテルでした。
