I recently stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. The room was large and well appointed. I thought the bed was particularly comfortable. terrific sheets and wonderful down pillows, lot of them. the location is perfect for someone going for business as it is in the middle of everything. A couple of tricks. they charge $10 per day for internet, but if you become a member of their club, for free, it is free. good deal. the gym is perfectly adequate as well. "Outdated rooms, bathrooms and beds."
The lobby of the hotel is impressive and the front desk folks are ok, they also have a nice restaurant which is pricey--all this is completely different from the rooms. The furniture in the rooms are old; the beds are at least 10 years old and sagging--very unconfortable; the bathrooms are also very old and has not been updated for many years; the towels […] available in the bathrooms are beyond its life. Having said that, the house keepers do a good job keeping the place clean. The issue here is that management or owners are not investing to keep the place up to date. "Horrible corporate experience in a faraway place!"
Checked in from a long drive. They put us in one of the back rooms. The Internet ($10) didn't reach and we couldn't get a connection. The room had not been cleaned. Parking was exhorbitantly expensive. In addition, the underground parking was dark, dank, and terrifying. The main, grand lobby looked great until you got in your room. The place is located in the middle of nowhere between Providencia (where many things are) and Las Condes (where the crypto-Pinochet loyalists are). The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful at all times. My room was larger than expected with a double aspect as it was in the corner. It was also very quiet. "Barely average Intercontinental ...."

This hotel is centrally located right across from the Titanium Tower and a few blocks away from the Costanera Center. It is in good shape, but nothing special. My room was ok, but noisy from a rooftop bar across from it. What bothered me the most, was the front-desk clerk trying to sell me a more expensive room: when I arrived they told, that they need to check if my room was ready. However, if I was interested in a superior room for 50 USD more, they could have it ready immediately. I said no, but the clerk insisted. "As you can see, we are doing renovation work, so your room will probably be noisy - don't you want a superior room for 50 USD more". What on earth is that? You are saying that I get a bad room, right to my face, no way! In the end the room was ok and normal noise, nothing to complain about. But apparently staff is asked to make hard-sells to improve overall revenue - not a good sign, and definitely not the correct way of treating your customers. All in all, an average experience, I would not return to this IHG property.

We stayed at this property for 2 days in mid-January, 2015. Our experience was very good: A nice-sized, clean room with a great view with a large, well-equipped bathroom. The hotel is large and facilities are ample. Our experience with requests from the front desk was excellent; any and all issues were addressed and resolved rapidly and effectively. The room was slow to cool below 70 F, (21 C) and was aided by the cool evenings in Santiago.

The front desk staff are alway helpful and friendly..gym are basic without air-con. Mid night room service 80% of the time unable to deliver as per menu and its standard, Almost like the cook want to short cut the preparation so he/she can go back to sleep..Very disapointing especial when you are hungry and have to wait for an hour for them to get it right after two times sending the delivery back! ( order grill salmon..first delivery fresh Salmon, second delivery frozen cooked salmon...and the last time they got it right with the Salmon but asparagus was cooked..thought i ordered the salad!! )..Very disapointing!

I believe that with certain properties just based on the branding you know the kind of accommodations you can expect. Not so this time around with InterContinental Santiago. The property is tired, dirty and in overall poor condition. I believe you will find three towers at this property and I was in tower one. This may make a difference. The room was large but poorly furnished. It looked as if pieces of furniture had been gathered from unused rooms and scattered about. The carpet was so dirty (sticky) that I had to use towels to walk from the bed to the bath. The room was ripe with an unpleasant odor from an unknown source and the windows dirty and in poor condition. The shower sputtered and spit brown water for a short time and never did I have hot water for a shower, just warm was the best I could do. Mildew was present around the tub and sink basin and my carpet under the sink wet. The in room refrigerator (usually a nice plus) was so dirty I could not use. Wallpaper was in poor shape with bits coming from the wall. The staff does appear to be helpful with what they can do. The front of house staff is kind and pleasant and the buffet for breakfast is very nicely laid out. In addition the hotel is in a good location, however the area offers plenty of better hotel choices. Summary. The hotel is clearly not up to the standards of being a branded InterContinental property. The staff and breakfast did not make up for the lack of room amenities, cleanliness or attention to detail. If traveling to beautiful Santiago you will find plenty of hotels in this location that have taken time to care for the small details..You can do better at the price point offered here.

This is probably one of the best hostels in Santiago but lacks a little something that I can't quite put my finger on. It lacks a little something but hits a solid 80% in my opinion. Food and beverages are very good and service is excellent. I would highly recommend staying here

Very good hotel located in an amazing location, pretty close of many restaurants and one of the best Malls of the city: the Costanera Center. The rooms have a good size and the service is outstanding. The price is a little bit high, but depends when and how you make the reservation.

Upon arrival in the hotel we had our room upgraded. The room had a nice view of the downtown area. The location is in walking distance of several excellent restauraunts and malls. The staff are very helpful to answer any questions or provide assistance. Our stay here was during my third visit to Santiago and my first in this hotel. I will make it my new regular for trips to Santiago.

I just stayed at the InterContinental for five nights. I had stayed there the last time on my last trip to Santiago. I like the neighborhood - lots of restaurants, and the Metro is not too far away. On the plus side: the receptionist gave me a corner room with nice views, the room itself was ample, the staff was pleasant and the 18th floor gym was decent. But here's what was missing: Why not have a pitcher of ice cold water with lemons or orange slices inside for when guests enter the lobby after being in the hot sun? Why do I get a new towel each day when I laid my towel on the side of the bathroom, indicating that I'm happy to use it another day and avoid unnecessary washing? Hot water during my shower didn't appear for five minutes, or just about when I was going to finish. I lost Wi-fi for an hour one morning - otherwise it was good.

We stayed for six nights during late December. We requested a quiet room and the hotel did their best to accommodate our request. Room within newer tower block was big, clean, and comfortable although noise level from outside traffic higher than expected. Check in staff not very friendly but all others were, especially Francisco the porter. Use of well equipped gym in older part of hotel and we visited Japanese and Italian restaurants; both good. Bar area in older part of hotel would benefit from modernizing. Breakfast provided in the Club lounge was good with friendly multi-lingual staff. Underground parking useful but quite expensive. Good wi-fi connectivity. Hotel very well located for a wide selection of restaurants, especially on Isidora Goyenechea.
