Hotel is right by front of Tours train station. It is clean, comfortable and very welcoming. There is wonderful big old furniture in the public rooms. The sheets are especially nice. The age of the hotel is part of its charm.

Great location to train station, but you do need to accept that sometimes it is a bit more seedier surroundings and not in the heart of the central attractions. Great elderly couple that were there first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Decent breakfast buffet, convenient and reasonable priced.

The hotel is in the center of the town near a lot of good bars and restaurants. The room was small but very clean. Check in and out was very easy. Overall experience was good (especially because of the cheap rate) for one night, the room may have been a bit small for more than a couple of days.

Hotel is in ideal location and is maintained by a charming and helpful French couple. Historic beautiful building is full of history and period furnishings. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However they didn't speak much English and it was best to communicate with them in French. The ensuite facilities were very compact. The shower was very clean. The toilet was very small and it was like getting into a cupboard or a built in wardrobe. Paid to use the guest internet in the hotel foyer. The daytime desk receptionist appeared suddenly and grabbed the mouse out of my hand, shoved me almost off my chair and shut down the computer. Was in the middle of making a payment, the details of which were lost. The elderly couple who appear to run this hotel and who we found always polite and friendly […] were shocked by her behaviour. Stayed two nights, didn't take breakfast. Great service. The room was a little small, the hotel looks a little old, but the bathroom was clean and recently redecorated. The location is ideal, literally across from the train station, the coach station, rue de Bordeaux, a few minutes walk away from the cathedral, rue nationale.

Godt hotel og god service til prisen. Dog var morgenmaden noget ringe. Beliggenheden midt i byen var super. Eneste minus var at vores betaling ikke var registreret et eller andet sted mellem hotels.com og hotellet. Vi måtte bruge 1,5 time før vi kunne komme videre. Vi måtte bla. på netbank og måtte ringe til hotels.com.

Great surprise. Right next to the tourist information and the beautiful Central station with car rentals. Five - ten minutes walk to the old centre. Charming interior, small cute rooms. Free wifi, ask for password at reception. No breakfast included is the only negative thing, plus strange tax 1 euro/night at check out. Recommended!

Chambre 107 donnant sur la rue principale. Circulation intense de voitures et bus, meme avec le double vitrage, un peu vieux, comme tout, le bruit s'entent beaucoup. Un hôtel très convenable, le personnel est accueillant, l'ambiance un peu médiévale mais très propre. Il y a beaucoup de chambres, un escalier en bois ancien et un ascenseur, des escaliers d'évacuation en extérieur. L'escalier et le parquet des couloirs craquent mais il y a des portes coupe-feu qui étouffent les sons donc l'hôtel est plutôt calme. Par […] contre, il est très (trop ?) chauffé ; il neigeait dehors pendant mon séjour et il devait faire 25°C dans la chambre. (Je n'ai pas trouvé de thermostat à régler malgré ce qui était indiqué sur une affiche dans l'ascenseur.) On n'entendait pas le bruit des trains dans ma chambre, orienté côté cour intérieur. Certaines chambres doubles ont des lits jumeaux. La salle d'eau était petite mais bien conçue, avec un sèche-cheveux et des produits d'hygiène fournis. La réception est ouverte 24/24 donc il est possible de rentrer de nuit. Je ne peux pas juger du petit déjeuner que je n'ai pas pris, mais le salon est agréable, décoré et meublé dans ce même style ancien/médiéval qui correspond bien au Tours "touristique". Il est juste à côté de la gare et à 10 minutes à pied du centre ville. Je suis personnellement satisfaite de cet hôtel. Je dois retourner bientôt à Tours, j'y prendrai de nouveau une chambre à moins qu'il soit complet. Read more

Hotel de l'Europe in Tours lag mooi langs onze route naar het zuiden van Frankrijk. De familiekamer was goed geprijst. Het hotel is gedateerd maar de primaire behoeften, dus het comfort, was uiteindelijk prima. Het oudere echtpaar dat het hotel runt is zeer vriendelijk. Het ontbijt was in buffet vorm en was behoorlijk uitgebreid voor een frans ontbijt. […] Een leuke bijkomstigheid is het aangename centrum van Tours, waarin de hotel ook ligt. Wij kwamen in de middag aan, en konden dus nog van genieten van een wandeling en de terasjes. Het hotel ligt aan een plein bij het bus-, treinstation en taxi's. Van de bussen dachten wij 's nachts overlast te ondervinden, maar wij hebben allemaal prima geslapen. Maar, wel met het raam dicht. Oh ja, het hotel heeft geen eigen parkeerterrein. Parkeren kun je in de omliggende straten tergen een gering parkeertarief tot 19.30 uur 's avonds en vanaf 09.00 uur 's ochtends (behalve op zondag). Read more
