We were told this was a "ground floor" room since my husband is disabled and stairs are very difficult for him. There were 10=12 stairs to get to the main floor and our room was on the second floor. We were directly over the bar. It was very noisy and made it difficult to sleep. We did not even have enough towels in the room. Shower is small and very […] cramped. There is something a bit disconcerting about a cozy place...without people to serve you. The omission of continental breakfast is really inexcusable...what with the whole "family" business etc. that's touted. When there are 3 customers, (two traveling together), why not put the 3 one farther away as voices carry easily in this hotel.

The room was super clean and the bed was just wonderfullll. The shower was the most relaxing shower I have had, the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner really gave a complete aroma therapy session that was very needed after a long day. I would have been nice to have had the chance to dine in the attached restaurant but it is closed Mon, Tues and Wed […] so we missed out this time but overall we loved the charm of the country feel and we will definately stay here again. Valley Ford is not in the center of anything -- that's much of its charm. The hotel is a true Mom & Pop (although the owners are young people) operaion. I was very disappointing, i was waiting an hour to get my key , which I'm not sure if this was mine, they messed up, there was nobody on Wednesday, and then no TV no breakfast just boring night. I won't recommend nobody this place.

I enjoyed the location of the hotel, but it was a bed but no breakfast! No food is offered on Mon, Tue, and wed. This kind of was inconvenient as we had to shower and dress and walk down the street for a bite to eat.Otherwise a charming little place.

My husband and I planned our own a 5 day bicycling trip through Northern California. This hotel was our first night's stop and it was selected primarily as this was the close to the max distance (65 miles) we could cover in day from San Francisco. The only downside is the inn's restaurant is only open on the Th- Sun. As bikers unable to pedal any further, we were lucky there was an italian place close by that was open at night. The problem with this place is it offered wifi and restaurants which were the only thing we were needing. They had neither . If you want a quiet country location this is for you.It was a bed and breakfast without the breakfast

This is really a small inn and it is wonderful. What a little jewel tucked between Petaluma and Bodega Bay. The room was great, the restaurant was excellent and the service was top notch. We woud definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

We had a great night at the Valley Ford Hotel. Really lovely, light and clean room. Bed was comfortable, sheets crisp and soft. Breakfast just right. This isNOT a bed and breakfast.....They DO NOT SERVE BREAKFAST. Very quaint place no T.V., no phone,no air conditioner. and no smoking in the rooms. We stayed one night and had dinner in the restaurant, Rocker Oysterfellers. It was wonderful getting out of the city and relaxing at this small but lively place. There is a feeling of community with locals at the bar but a feeling of Napa with some unique items on the menu. I can't say enough good things about this delightful little hotel. Brandon was the perfect host/restauranteur/bartender/owner. Our rooms (there were two couples) were pristine, beds very comfortable, bathrooms well-supplied, and Keurig coffeemaker very welcome in the morning. This is an historic building so the rooms are not large but comfortable. My husband would have preferred a king bed but only queens are available and there are no TV's or phones which I loved. Rooms facing the highway might be too noisy for some travelers. I did find it strange that we never registered - our key was waiting in an envelope on the porch […] but the manager/owner(?) was very pleasant when we asked for some directions even though I felt like we were disturbing her. My biggest complaint would be that I searched for hotels in Bodega Bay and this was about 10 miles inland from Bodega Bay. It wasn't exactly as close as I was lead to believe. This is a great little place to stay if this area is your destination. Other than the road way traffic, we really enjoyed this hotel. The amenities were limited but comfort was excellant. There is a little all purpose grocery store across the street that had anything you may need in the area of refreshments and food.

This was a nice friendly little hotel where we were able to have a comfortable overnight stay. The attached restaurant provided a very adequate meal. Although they did not provide breakfast there was the "cafe estero" just over the road which cooked whatever you wanted with beautifully fresh local ingredients.
