You are required to cary a key with a large square pice of plastic, the size of a small football field, attached to it. There is also a round magnet the size of half a Australian dollar attached as well. I took my plastic square off, so it could fit comfortably in my pocket (lost it :) ), and had to pay $120.00 for a new key. THe location has drawbacks […] if you are not with a car. The general upkeep of the apartment we stayed in was not of the standard portrayed by Expedia when booking the hotel. The view was stunning, which slightly alleviated the tardy appearance. A general makeover would be required (walls, bathroom, bed) to bring the apartment into line with the stated star rating

A great location, easy access to the beach or the Broadbeach walking path. If you are just a couple, the single rooms will get you either a restricted view of the beach with a smaller room and a great balcony, or a larger room with views inland and an unusable balcony that is 2sqm (no joke). Despite requesting a queen size bed we wound up with a double […] bed plus a single in the same room. They could not quite understand why this was an issue for us. Overall though, it's hard to find too much to get upset about. Definitely ask for a single room on the North side if you are just a couple. If you want to splash out a bit, get one of the poolside bungalows. Read more

We really enjoyed our stay, the apartment was well cleaned and well kept. All the basics are there (appliances, pots. cutlery to get you started). Additionally, the best part was its location. It was breathtaking to wake up and see the beach outside the window. Definitely great for families and couples. My only negative would be the price of the internet. […] I found it to be overpriced, but that is normal when you're on holiday. Loved our stay - perfect location right on the beachfront. Beautiful heated pool and barbeque areas. Wonderful views. Close to bus stop. Friendly receptionist. Very clean and perfectly maintained. It would be nice to have a couple of sachets of detergent for the washing machine (don't want to buy large container when catching a plane etc.) and perhaps […] a small bottle of dishwashing detergent rather than just one sachet. Would love to stay there again. It was a bit of a walk to the supermarket (no car) but we got used to it and no doubt it did us good with the exercise. A lovely cafe close by which we visited 4 times for delicious meals. Very happy with The Breakers. Read more

well firstly Lynn was a great host and took care of all our pre-arrival bookings taxi etc. The location is great being beach frontage and the view from the apartments was just awesome. The two bedroom apartment was dated but very tidy. We where given the option to upgrade to a renovated apartment so there was no issues at all. We found the kitchen to […] have everything we needed. The room was kiddy friendly and the apartment was 20min walk to broad beach and a little longer to surfers. We will definatley stay again but for all those families with young kids try and upgrade to the groundfloor beachfront apartments as they are great for kids being next door to the pool and a grass area. The only down side to the stay was that on the last day the lady (not Lynn) who was at the reception "lost it" over our use of the luggage trolly being brought to the ground floor area and not the basement level - her reaction was totally over the top and rude. All other contact with her was great expect this unusual occassion - soooo beware of the use of the luggage trolley!!! Read more

Great hotel, great value for money. The rooms had everything and it was so clean! The only issue is that it takes about 20 mins to walk to the Surfers Paradise Boulevard. At the end of the day it might be too tiring to walk.

First time visiting goldcoast, The breakers staff were very helpful and supportive. Room was clean and had everything needed. Environment was super and best of all just a walk to the beach. My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much and we most certainly will stay if and when visiting Goldcoast! Thanks Karyn

the only issue i had was the fact when 2 fire engines were dispatched to our accomodation to attend a fire in the basement there was no instruction by management in relation to evacuation. my partner and i walked down 7 flights of fire stairs and even though there was the fire brigade outside and also management still no direction provided. the fire […] was only minor due to a dryer catching fire but the incident could have been a lot worse. Located right on the beach and between the flags. Our room was furnished well and more comfortable than many places I have stayed in. Being right on the water we were lucky to have views along the beach towards Surfers. Restaurants may be too far for some people. It's about a 15 minute walk to Surfers or Broadbeach, but there are a couple of restaurants […] a bit closer. The staff were very helpful with any request. Overall the whole family 2 + 3 will use the property again. The living area is spacious although the smaller of the two bedrooms is a bit tight. The facilities are well kept, the pool was a hit with the family - clean, water temperature just right and a good size. The apartment had great lighting as well as natural light (huge panorama windows and balcony […] doors) taking advantage of the location. Kitchen was well equipped with (unusually) a large fridge/freezer. Shops a flat 15 minute walk away (major shopping centres in two directions). Only let down was lack of dish washing liquid or dishwasher powder as instead of supplying containers of each (as we've experienced at all other apartments we've stayed at) there was one sachet of each provided free. This one small issue, indeed a minor issue but annoying all the same when holidaying with a family. Read more

the staff are very helpful. karen helped with my theme parks booking/ticketing. they attended to the maintenance right-away. the curtains needs cleaning/changing though & the doors on bathrooms/toilets needs sortin' out, needs banging to close them. but over all, very good service and location. the boys love the pool!

We found the experience to be fantastic. The position is great, right on the beach, walking distance to Oasis Shopping Centre. staff are freindly and very helpful. The apartment was very clean. It was a great short break. The area is very quiet and relaxing.

Das Breakers ist kein Hotel. Es werden Apartments vermietet. Die Wohnungen sind mit allem Ausgestattet aber es gibt kein Zimmerservise nur Sonntag wurden die Handtücher und die Bettwäsche gewechselt.
