Likuliku Lagoon Resort - Malolo Island

My husband and I stayed at Likuliku Lagoon Resort for five nights in August. It was truly the trip of a lifetime. The resort was beautifully maintained and our room (a beachfront bure) was lovely -- we were just a few steps from the beach, pool and restaurant. All the staff were friendly and accommodating (they knew our names by the second morning) […] and the food was absolutely incredible. The weather was perfect and we spent a lot of time in the water -- snorkeling in the resort's lagoon, scubadiving, stand-up paddleboarding, etc. -- and also enjoyed an aromatherapy massage and hiking around Malolo Island. I have stayed in hotels over 200 nights a year for a decade. This is by far the best resort I have ever visited. If you are looking for a peaceful place to unwind and be pampered look no further. The coral reef offers the best snorkaling I have ever seen and I live in the caribbean.

Spent 6 nights in one of the overwater bures. Fantastic location and layout of accommodation, air con, wifi, all amenities. Excellent food, great variety and attention to presentation texture and taste. Multitude of activities from massages to game fishing. Snorkelling just out of the bure. Let down by small details - service is attentive but unprofessional […] with multiple mistakes double bookings and misundertandings, activities need to be booked in advance and they still manage to stuff it up. Low tide exposes a side of the beach which produces a strong odour and the coral next to the bures is pretty dead and water frequently murky. Walk from the restaurant to the bures after dinner is very dark with lots of lights not working and nobody bothering to replace and stepping on mudcrabs and frogs is not my meaning of adventure. Equipment is old, a couple of kayaks have holes patched up with sticky tape...! went sailing only to have someone racing after us on a powerboat to tell us we have to come back because it was change of shift and no one was available to watch out... at 4pm! deep sea fishing was fun but instead of $400 they charged $618 and apologised for printing mistake... Weather forecast and day of the week remained the same on activity print outs for 4 days! To top it off they charged us for lunch on our last day, with plane leaving at 1500, apparently it was not included! She enjoyed the stay but she doesn't know how much I paid. for the money find something better.. Read more

Just a great experience all around..... the location, the hotel and surrounds, the staff and the food. And of course when you can simply wander out of your beach front Bure into some of the best snorkeling anywhere, it adds up to a fabulous and relaxing holiday. We'll be back!

Lukiluki is a very relaxing resort and very quiet. The food was outstanding, so if you like good food it is definitely a good choice. The beach is nice, but it pays to check the tides for when you are going, as it is not easy to swim at low tide - and it was low tide for the best part of the day when we were there. A sensational resort to spend special time with your loved one. From the moment we arrived at the island the beautiful friendly Fijian staff greeted us with a song and a hearty 'welcome home' message. (If only it was my home.) Porters took care of our bags while we went straight to the restaurant for lunch. The food was exquisite with fine dining at […] every mealtime. It was our wedding anniversary & we were pleasantly surprised by a beautiful happy Anniversary message laid out on our bed made from fresh flowers. It seems they thought of everything including a bottle of champagne in a bucket. That evening at dinner we were blown away when a cake came to our table & the staff gathered around & sang to us. These personal touches were fabulous & made us & our moment feel very special. Our burre was perfect, spotlessly clean, spacious, next to the infinity pool & close to the waters edge. The fact that this resort is exclusively adults only with no children 17 and under is perfect for those who enjoy a swim with no kids splashing all around you. Likuliku is definitely the ideal location for couples to spend quality time & for that special occassion. For my husband and I, Likuliku is definitely up there in the ratings 5+ and we will return.
