Lemon Tree Hotel, Ahmedabad - Ahmedabad

The hotel is well maintained, the staff is wonderful, the hotel restaurant is good (although service is a wee bit slow). All in all, this is a good place to stay. Conveniently located for business activities. Will plan on staying here again during my next trip to Ahmadabad.

Nice location--right in the middle of Ahmedabad, and colorful, clean rooms. Citrus-themed toiletry (and probably cleaning products, too)--fresh and cool rooms, with comfortable bed. Good breakfast buffet included--internet access is additional charge. There may be conferences going on in the 2nd floor meeting rooms, but still not too noisy at all.

Somehow felt cheated at the end of the day. I got perhaps one of the smallest rooms in the hotel. Many basic amenities were missing - extra towels, a simple bottle of mineral water (in fact a used bottle was lying in my room), toilet paper et al. From a brand like lemon tree, one does expect a lot better. Above all this, the hotel was insanely expensive. […] The taxes charged were pure bogus, one really needs to investigate that. The staff service in the restaurant and when I ordered in dining was good. But the single occupancy room felt very small for comfort. Also at time of booking was confirmed a special promotion of free internet usage but at time of checkout they insisted on charging for it saying the free internet was in the business center. Good location in ahamabad for shopping and Garden Market, the hotel seems more geared for Business guest than tourist but good overall. Staff were reluctant to speak a indian language on the telephone.

Very competent and helpful staff. Rooms are nice. Thankfully, a large shower area instead of a dangerous, slippery and small bath-tub. Very high pressure water in the bathroom. Practical and comfortable room layout.

Rooms are large with a good bathroom. A little dated but kept very clean. The staff are all very attentive, especially in the Coffee Shop, which serves buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food choice is reasonable and room service is also very prompt. Taxis are available at the hotel and the hotel is well located to quickly reach all areas of the city. […] The surrounding area is also good. There were problems with the Internet connection and at the same time the hotel informed me that only the first 30 mins were free although my voucher stated 'free high speed internet'. Scores a 5 star in our view. Excellent staff and locations. Only complaint is somewhat exorbitant rental car charges- guests are better off making their own transportation arrangements. This takes something away from a perfect place to stay in ahmedabad.

This was a great little hotel clean and importantly central to my shopping needs. Mithakali is 10 minutes by rickshaw from ashram road and CG road.Additionly the staff were very helpful. The hotel was also not very noisy ie there were not any children that I saw. This is good as my daughter and I were on a serious shopping trip!!

We thought we were living in Europe as all the time the music was in English and laud in the dining room and the lift. Next-door neighbour were very laud till early morning.We complained but the hotel staff could not control the noise and we could not sleep one night.

Stayed here 2 weeks with my wife while attending a family wedding. Rooms are clean and comfortable and up to european 3* to 4* standard. 24 hour meal services. Airport shuttle (chargeable) was available for 4.30 am departure to airport. TVs upgraded to LCD wide screen now (some people have complained about the old TVs apparently). One 30 min wifi session […] free per day - enough to check emails. Thats the basics covered. Now we get on to the staff. When I picked up the inevitable Indian stomach bug, the staff were extremely attentive and caring. They prepared food to our personal requests (unspiced plain daal and rice, porridge etc.) and enquired about my health every day - really nice people who make this hotel special. Read more

Lovely modern hotel, room was lovely and clean and bedding/towels were high quality. Breakfast is also really good with a great choice. The only downside are the numerous surcharges that are added to your final bill. There were so many we lost count. The worst one being a "hotel management charge" which is basically a percentage of your final bill - […] what is this for?!! We challenged a few charges and they removed them without resistance but we didn't like this as we have not experienced it in any other hotel in India. Read more

The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful and would answer many of my questions about the city and culture over tea at breakfast.
