Very well maintained "FunDome". Heated indoor pool. Very friendly staff. Even choices of pillows (firm/soft). Did not try restaurant. Plenty fast food within driving distance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Holiday Inn St. Louis West Six Flags Thank you for the great review! We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and found the staff friendly.
It was a little loud being close to the pool. But my kids loved the pool.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Holiday Inn St. Louis West Six Flags It is great to learn the kids loved the pool. There are room locations away from the pool area you may find quieter you might want to request for a future stay. We certainly want to provide our guests with the best stay possible.
Kids really loved it. Very clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The shuttle to 6 flags is definitely nice & it is a fun hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The air conditioning could've been a lot cooler in our room , the pool bartender was a crab, and I was told the pool and game room hours were til midnight by a hotel.com worker and it was 11 - other than all of that, it was very nice !Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great hotel for a family."
The staff was so accommodating and helped us get back and forth to Six Flags by a shuttle. We were traveling with a small child and they helped us find some items we forgot. IT was a lovely stay. Nice pool area.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel pool and game room real nice. Hotel very very very very old and outdated. Needs major repair, doors and door jams all rotting and wood coming off. Had a very old and I mean old musty smell throughout the complex. Hotel has major potential but needs serious repair to rooms and hallways. Lobby was very nice with the old antique look. Dont get me […] wrong I love old and rustic type historic building feel but the rooms and halls are in serious need of repair. I will end with the kids had a great time thanks to the nice indoor pool and nice game room....... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Over all it was a good stay I will be back next year. Room was clean the staff was very pleasant. They let me check in and use the shuttle to go to six flags. Thank you for a wonderful stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the price was high, more then other hotels I checked, but right next to six flags, didnt have to pay to park at the park. For the price I paid, I was looking for a free breakfast or something, not 8.95 breakfast. I guess its a trade off close to park, pay for breakfast. The hotel was ok, had a pool, video games for the kids but i would of traded that […] for free breakfast. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient location, great stay"
Our son enjoyed his stay at this hotel almost as much as his trip to Six Flags. We had a pool side room, which was very convenient. We did have noise from the pool area, however hotel staff warned us about this before we booked to be sure we knew what to expect. We will definately stay againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"okay room for the cost"
Great service, very nice shuttle to and from six flags (runs about every 10 minutes). Very small room, and no refridgerators or microwaves (we had to use a cooler, and go down the hall for a microwave) Very clean room and the game/pool room was very convienent and the kids loved it. we took our dog and the hotel was very dog friendly. overall, way too […] expensive for what we got. "Close to Six Flags... Easy access to interstate"
Staff was wonderful... Very friendly! Great location, appreciated the air conditioned shuttle to/from Six Flags. Baby crib was cleaner & much safer looking than a more expensive hotel we stayed in the previous night. Only disappointment was the noise level. We had a pool side room on the third floor, and it was pretty loud until 11pm. (not good for […] a baby sleeping) Also, parking for our room was a little far away...but not terrible. My older kids loved the arcade & the indoor pool when a storm rolled in. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location worth minor inconveniences"
The hotel staff was wonderfully nice and helpful. We arrived that morning and were going to Six Flags then staying the night. We arrived well before check in, but they allowed us to do pre-check in paper work, which allowed us to park at the hotel without getting ticketed or towed, get or pass for the shuttle to the park which is free for hotel guests, […] and leave our electronics and purses locked in the managers safe until we arrived back at the hotel to check, an option that I was much more comfortable with than amusement park lockers. The rooms are a little dated and the ground floors rooms have exterior doors, which may not bother everyone but was something we weren't aware of prior to check-in. The only real problem we had was the inconsistent water temperature in the shower, it ran the spectrum between freezing, lukewarm, and scalding hot in 5-10 second intervals for the duration of the shower, no matter where you set the dial. While we didn't use it, we did walk through the Fun Dome which has a pool, hot tub, fitness area, and arcade games and it seemed to be quite the hopping place. Overall, the room was clean, reasonably comfortable, a decent price and you couldn't beat the convenience of location and the shuttle service to Six Flags which saved you the parking fee at the park and allowed you to avoid incidents like the fender bender we saw in the Six Flags parking lot, this alone made the stay worth every penny and the revolving water temperature. "Great hotel for a family going to Six Flags."
I was a little disappointed at first with the price but once we got there and seen the room and the pool it was well worth it, not to mention, the shuttle to the park was a huge relief didn't have to walk far and didn't have to pay to park.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for families..."
We booked this hotel because it was close to six flags. My children ate free at the hotel restaurants it was great. We had a vy nice time the room was a little expensive but worth every penny in the end. We saved money for parking at six flags with the shuttle dropping us off. Overall it was a great stay.Genuine Expedia guest review

"NO breakfast with characters anymore."
We use this hotel because we have small children. We love their shuttle bus to Six Flags. The other reason that we stay here is to have breakfast with "Characters", but they discontinued in 2012. There is no breakfast with Characters.(If we knew that we may stayed somewhere else.) It is always clean and comfortable beds. We would like to choose better […] room next time which is not by pool. We could not reserve regular room this time and had to stay pool-side room. We could smell chlorine even though the glass door was closed. Pool-side rooms sounds nice but it's so loud. Somebody may walk by and peep in your room. We noticed that hotel checks types of vehicles and tag this year as well. We had some disappointment yet this hotel is nice and staff are very friendly. Especially a people who watches pool at night does GREAT job every year. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Not worth the money!"
My family decided to stay at this hotel because Six Flags was our destination and we had reviews from friends that this was the place to go because of the general atmosphere and the shuttle to save the parking fee. I thought the price was a little inflated but thought it looked worth the money from the photos....boy was I wrong. The hotel is beautiful, […] don't get me wrong. The pool area is nice and there are games and such to play, but the rooms were just OK. I liked the terrace outside my room, but the back of the door handle was falling off of the bathroom in my room and there was a mystery stain on the trim by the door in the bathroom. The room was always cold no matter what the heating/cooling unit was set on. The hotel restaraunt is a joke, the staff are rude and the food is 2 star at best....not worth the money. I've stayed in far less of an impressive atmosphere hotel that has free continental breakfast (and surrounded by eateries, not just a McDonalds) that had better rooms and staff than this. On my next trip I will spend the 20.00 to park and stay somewhere else. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I thought the hotel was great. I spent the extra money for a room poolside and it was well worth it since that is where my son stays the whole time. The location was great since we were going to six flags and we had no problem with the shuttle.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Holiday inn six flags in eureka"
Me and my family loved our stay there... It was great... I loved the convinience of being across the street from the park... "Great common areas, too crowded"
07/29/14 soonertourist Tulsa
We stopped at this hotel west of St. Louis to avoid the rush hour traffic the following morning on the way home. Surprisingly, not a lot of options were available along I-44 even though Six Flags is the big attraction! We did not visit the park. The hotel lobby is well dressed, and my son said the pool area is very nice, but overcrowded. We paid about $30-50 more than we would have at a nicer highway hotel because of its proximity to Six Flags. We skipped breakfast to avoid all of the families on their way to the park. The decor and furnishings were very dated, and our room smelled like chlorine, even though we were situated very far from the pool. This hotel is like an old Super 8 with a new facade. We needed to stop for the night. Unfortunately our GPS system didn't show any other hotels along I-44 westbound for quite a distance, so we stopped here. If I was taking my kids to Six Flags and had limited time available, I would stay here. Otherwise, stay a bit farther away.

My children and I stayed here the night before our Six Flags trip and I must say we were impressed from the moment we entered the parking lot. The entire place is astoundingly beautiful. The staff are AMAZING. The food is decent. My kids got free meals. The Fun Dome is awesome. The rooms are very nice. I have ZERO complaints. Oh and OF COURSE the shuttle helps IMMENSELY. If I could give 1000 stars I would. I recommend this hotel to everyone :)
"Good for a quick weekend at Six Flags."
07/19/14 Chris P Weston, Wisconsin, United States
Very nice staff, clean rooms and public areas. A bit dated, but close to six flags park with great shuttle. Lisa at the pool bar was fun and gave honest answer about the food. Breakfast at the restaurant was not so good. But it was inexpensive. Expect delays on the food and service. Lots of families with lots of kids!! Will return as to good outways any of the bad.
"The convenience was worth the price, however...."
07/14/14 Chris C Memphis
I highly recommend staying here for first timers to Six Flags St. Louis, but after staying here for $159/night, I wouldn't if I came back. I had no complaints about the property, room or staff, but for the current rate, I expect a microwave and a fridge. My room had neither. My only gripe was the noise from the interstate that my room faced. With that said, as first timers I feel the price was worth the convenience, but now that I have my feet wet, I will chance staying in a cheaper hotel a few miles away and pay for parking.
"Unusual Holiday Inn"
07/10/14 DDay1959 McKinney, Texas
This hotel is one of the most unique Holiday Inn's that I have ever stayed in. It sits on a hill overlooking Six Flags. It has an Old World lodge look and feel to it. The rooms were nice and well supplied. Everything worked as it should. There is a huge indoor swimming pool and game area. I had a room that opened into the pool area and with all the families there it was extremely noisy until 11:00pm.
"Its all what you make of it"

After reading many of the poor reviews on this hotel, I thought I'd write mine with a different perspective. If you expect a 4 or 5 star hotel experience in a brand new hotel, this is not the hotel for you. It is not as upscale as newer hotels, but is has a quaintness, like that of an old wooden ski-lodge. We waited for a room with an outside entrance and a hall door (we arrived Sunday after the fourth of July, so the hotel was packed). Well worth the wait, not to far from the pool, and a nice view. We didn't opt for a fridge or microwave because there was a microwave by the vending and ice machine (which my kids used everyday to make mac and cheese or popcorn). Our room, 130, had a flat screen TV with great channels, super comfortable beds with brand new bedding, and typical bathroom amenities. The pool area was clean, the hot tub was actually hot, the games for kids were cheaper than those at Six Flags, and the snack bar by the pool had pretty good food and great customer service (a bad storm caused Six Flags to close early, so there was a long line for food, but the staff kept a very positive attitude during the storm). Our original plan was to stay for two nights, but we actually added another night to our stay. The shuttle service to Six Flags was very convenient, it dropped us off right by the entrance to the park.
"Location, Location, well overpriced other than location"
07/08/14 RedHornet72653 Mountain Home, AR
The front desk help was absolutely great! Other than this the hotel is a typical overpriced $85 a night room with a location next door to Six Flags. It is sliding like the neighboring theme park did prior to bankruptcy. Nothing intended on the financials of this hotel. The room was clean, though updated, the thermostat needed a battery and we were only there a few hours to rest. The parking lot had been resealed so many times it looked like a 1960's driveway that had been rebrushed. The green sign usually means more than this. The hotel was not bad though has been overserviced and needs a intense facelift for the price tag. We got a good price on a last minute room past midnight. Even at that price tag it was not a value and we should have taken our tired bones another 20-30 minutes. Overall it was not a bad hotel, just an $85 room and not a $170 to $120 a night room. No complimentary breakfast, no real attributes other than location is get up and go to Six Flags. If you have your kids and that's what your after, and don't mind paying for that, then this is your hotel! Otherwise drive a few more miles either side.
"Very expensive! Not worth it!"
We stayed here only cause it was late and close to our destination! The sheets were still damp. The rooms smelled moldy. The beds were not comfortable! There was urine dried to the front of the toilet in the 1st room they put us in. When we complained about it, they moved us to a 2nd room. It smelled the same. It was like the rooms had flooded and not cleaned properly. The 3rd room didn't stink but the sheets were still damp. Not a good experience at all.
"Not your normal holiday inn"
07/03/14 Brandy M
The amenities you are use to getting at a normal holiday inn you will not get here..no free breakfast 8.95 plus gratuity per person, but same breakfast you get at a holiday inn... they need to work on cleaning a little better there was toothpaste on the faucet in the bathroom and the bathroom was not swept.. the location you can not beat and most people are friendly the inside pool was great for the kids.. and fridge and microwave extra cost too.. this is because it is not corporate owned so they set their own rules...overall we enjoyed our stay.. little pricey. But good..
"Yes, 5 stars for a Holiday Inn!!"
07/01/14 Martin H Eureka, Illinois
We had an excellent experience at this Holiday Inn hotel. The room was very clean. My wife loved the tile or laminate (non carpeted) floor. She doesn't trust hotel carpet. The beds were VERY comfortable and the hotel was very quiet. We had one of our best family nights here. Of course it helped that the kids slept well!
