"Awesome location if visiting Six Flags."
The hotel was very convenient for our travel plans. We got to the hotel early (prior to check-in time) and we were allowed to pre-register. Our plans were to register and then head over to Six Flags for the day. This worked out perfectly. We purchased our discounted Six Flags tickets when we checked-in, shuttled over to the park and shuttled back at […] the end of the day. When we returned to the hotel, we just showed them our pre-registration shuttle pass and they had our keys waiting for us for our room. We booked a pool-side room which was a great location, the kids loved it. The only down-side to this was that it was a Friday night and the hotel was very full, which in return led to a very full Holidome, however it got very quiet at 11 pm when the pool closed. We also decided to book this hotel due to the fact that kids under 12 eat free at the restaurant. After looking at the pricing of the menu, we opted to NOT eat at the hotel, especially after the reviews we read online about the quality of the food. We ordered Jimmy Johns for dinner and had it delivered to the room. Then for breakfast we ate at the McDonalds right next door and spent just as much as we would have if we ate in the restaurant. "Clean & Convenient"
The hotel is in need of remodeling, however it is clean and is conveniently located across the street from Six Flags. The shuttle to/from Six Flags was great! The hotel could use updating, the pillows were absolutely horrible so I would suggest bringing your own! Someone else posted that in their review and I shouldn't have ignored it. If you are going to Six Flags then this is the perfect place to stay. I wouldn't go there for anything else, however. The pool is far smaller in person and the arcade is no […] big deal. This is a convenient stop for travelers wishing to visit Six Flags, but be prepared for a "budget hotel" experience. And, don't pay the extra money for a poolside room unless you want everyone at the pool to be able to see into your room. It was quiet, nice place to be. Check in and Check out was easy even had a shuttle to SIX Flags . We had Steak and eggs for breakfast - this is the first time in 60 years I have never had my steak done medium and my wife medium well at the same time. "Nice relaxing weekend"
We had a great time just hanging out and enjoying the fundome. Pool was pretty much deserted for most of the day so my kids had the place to themselves. We a had a regular room the first night (2 queen beds) poolside and were surprised by how well the noise was controlled by the sliding glass door. "Nice place, but missing some common items"
The location was very close to Six Flags (our destination). The path to our room went through the banquet area, so we had to drag all our luggage through people lounging and dining. The beds were very comfy, but the room did not have a refrigerator. The tv didn't have a dvd player. The pool area was nice, but not nearly as large as the pictures depict. It was very enjoyable. It wasnt far from our destination (hidden valley ski), 10 minutes maybe. The hot tub was nice after playing in the snow. It also housed the "Fundome", a pretty good size arcade with very up to date games....and air hockey. "Location worth minor inconveniences"
The hotel staff was wonderfully nice and helpful. We arrived that morning and were going to Six Flags then staying the night. We arrived well before check in, but they allowed us to do pre-check in paper work, which allowed us to park at the hotel without getting ticketed or towed, get or pass for the shuttle to the park which is free for hotel guests, […] and leave our electronics and purses locked in the managers safe until we arrived back at the hotel to check, an option that I was much more comfortable with than amusement park lockers. The rooms are a little dated and the ground floors rooms have exterior doors, which may not bother everyone but was something we weren't aware of prior to check-in. The only real problem we had was the inconsistent water temperature in the shower, it ran the spectrum between freezing, lukewarm, and scalding hot in 5-10 second intervals for the duration of the shower, no matter where you set the dial. While we didn't use it, we did walk through the Fun Dome which has a pool, hot tub, fitness area, and arcade games and it seemed to be quite the hopping place. Overall, the room was clean, reasonably comfortable, a decent price and you couldn't beat the convenience of location and the shuttle service to Six Flags which saved you the parking fee at the park and allowed you to avoid incidents like the fender bender we saw in the Six Flags parking lot, this alone made the stay worth every penny and the revolving water temperature. "NO breakfast with characters anymore."
We use this hotel because we have small children. We love their shuttle bus to Six Flags. The other reason that we stay here is to have breakfast with "Characters", but they discontinued in 2012. There is no breakfast with Characters.(If we knew that we may stayed somewhere else.) It is always clean and comfortable beds. We would like to choose better […] room next time which is not by pool. We could not reserve regular room this time and had to stay pool-side room. We could smell chlorine even though the glass door was closed. Pool-side rooms sounds nice but it's so loud.
