At 9 am the housekeeping staff knocked on the door and entered without announcing themselves. I did not even have time to get to the door before they came in. Once I confronted them they said "housekeeping." Called manager and he said that it was standard practice to knock, enter the room and then announce their presence. He said it is too hard to hear them through the door. Also, they do not put meat on their breakfast bar. Stayed at this chain three days and no meat at any breakfast.

Some staff were great. Others did not want to be bothered. Was there for 6 nights TV never worked right, refrigerator was off and on. Complained to front desk and only got a note from maintenance stating they would replace tv. They did not so this during our stay. Some days we has housekeeping, other days we didn't. Had to request it twice. Pool was nice, breakfast was good.

Just stayed here for a week. Great place to stay and the staff was great. They were helpful getting us transportation to all of the activities we had planned. Loved Nashville.

Decent hotel. Pricey for the accommodations, but that could have to do with the location near Opryland. Room was clean and comfortable. Refrigerator and microwave were included.

Great hotel with AWESOME staff. However there was mold in the tub/ shower. I had to clean it for I gave my little girl a bath. One other thing is there is a design flaw with the curtains. There are short curtains that reach right to the top of the a/c unit and when it turns on it blows the curtains out. Then the curtains prevent any cool air from going out into the room. We came back after turning the a/c unit on and our room was warm. I just set a bag in front of the curtains to prevent them from covering the cold air and our room then started to cool off. Curtains need to be rethought.

The hotel was very clean, staff was more than helpful. Gym was small but adequate. I expected to be in Nashville city center, but was 10 miles or a 20 minute from downtown music and restaurants. The breakfast was very nice, and a great plus when travelling.

As usual staff was good, hotel was in good shape and everything was clean. Breakfast was hot and good. On the flip side, there was not a comfortable room chair (typical for Hamptom) and pillows were woefully lacking in size (short for a king size bed) and comfort (also a trademark of Hampton in my experience). Kind of like McDonalds -- you pretty much know what you're going to get.

Hotel is close to Opry. Their shuttle can drop you off at the parking lot entrance and a 5 minute walk from there. The shuttle was experiencing problems throughout the time we were there with being on time. What made it a bigger problem than it needed to be was that management didn't notify customers waiting outside for it and made everyone late to the show when they could have opted to go get in their own cars and drive over.

Overall the hotel and staff were fine. However, the mattress was very uncomfortable. I felt springs pushing through the top and it was basically a worn out mattress with fairly nice sheets and feather down pillows.

The Hampton @ Opryland was definitely close to the Grand Ole Opry. Since we were there to see all the sights in Nashville I would have preferred a hotel closer to downtown. I just wasn't familiar with Nashville when I booked this. It was not near any really great restaurants. If I were going to see a performer at the Grand Ole Opry then this location would have been great! But for seeing all the sights in Nashville it was a bit out of the way.

The room was clean however the general staff were not focused or attentive. We did not get the requested location of rooms, outside the door noise was every night. The breakfast was not to par and the treadmill did not work for the duration of our stay. The bright spots were Miss Sunshine, a great morning personality and easy walking to other areas. However save your money and go to Cracker Barrel or Bob Evans just next door.

we were there for a convention at the Gaylord. Prior to booking we called to make sure there would be sufficient shuttle service to and from the Gaylord. There was NOT sufficient staff to run the shuttle, it would only take 11 people once an hour and when we were told to "just call when you are ready and we'll come get you"...we didn't expect to wait 45 minutes each day. They were not honest and not very helpful. the rooms were nice and the decor comfortable.

We chose this hotel for access to the Opryland convention center when the convention hotel was full. There is a free hourly shuttle from the airport (top of the hour) and one to the convention center on the :30. The convention center is a 15 minute walk. The free breakfast was decent. There are a few decent restaurants close by. Downtown is about 10 miles away. There is a good shuttle to downtown for 10 dollars round trip that picks up at the hotel on the top of the hour, and downtown on the :30 until 12:30 am. Overall, the hotel staff did a great job; they were all very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable.

TV never worked properly through out stay and was not repaired nor swapped out, we were promised adjoining room at reservation and upon arrival were told hotel only had adjoining rooms for handicapped individuals not sure if this was your problem of hotel's problem but that was very disappointing as this was an annual family vacation.

We stayed at this hotel for a long Girl's weekend. Staff is friendly--especially Sunshine who serves breakfast in the morning! Rooms were very comfortable and clean. We had a problem with our bathroom sink but the maintenance man came and fixed it as soon as we called. Hotel is convenient to Opryland--right across the street. It was about a half hour drive to the downtown area--within reason for us as we had our own car.

Everything about our five day trip to Nashville including our stay at The Hamptom Inn & Suites Nashville @ Opryland was perfect. The hotel shuttle picked us up at the airport in a timely manner. The staff (especially Andrea & Gloria) greeted us warmly and made us feel very welcome. Our double room was spacious, very comfortable and perfect for two woman and all their stuff! There were a few minor problems like the shower head not working properly, but the staff got right on it and it was fixed immediately. The breakfast was served hot or cold and was always plentiful and good. The breakfast staff (especially Sunshine...she lives up to her name) kept everything stocked and clean. When we needed suggestions regarding some tours we wanted to take Andrea knew which ones to take and made all our reservations. We had a great time. The shuttle took us over to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel at the top of every hour and picked us back up when we called. And to top everything off there is a Downtown Shuttle that picked us up at the hotel, took us downtown, and brought us back for only $10.00 round trip. These services made us feel very taken care of and comfortable with getting around the area.

I was largely pleased with this hotel. The staff was amazing, constantly asking us if we needed anything and interacting with my children. They would even go so far as to find crayons and something to color on when our 1 year old started to get fussy at breakfast one morning. They helped my wife secure a taxi and even alerted us in our room when it arrived. The hotel was attractive and appears to have been recently renovated. It was very clean throughout and I found the staff to be aggressive about keeping it that way. My only real complaint was the size of everything. I constantly felt a little cramped during my stay. It felt as if the furniture was stuffed into the room. The breakfast area felt as if it had one table too many. The lobby could have used one less chair. For those of you who are visiting the Nashville area for fun, I would recommend this hotel very highly. My favorite feature was the shuttle which provided transportation to and from the downtown area. So much easier than trying to park downtown and much less expensive than a taxi.

My only complaint is that the internet was down the entire duration of my stay (2 nights) - I understand that this is an internet provider's fault, but since internet is vital for me to conduct business in Nashville, this was a serious issue for me. The hotel might want to look into changing internet service providers if their current one takes over 48 hours to correct the outage.

A little upset when we first checked in because we had requested early check-in plus a roll away bed. Got to room, no roll away bed, and room was so small we didn't see how they would even squeeze one in. Talked to maid who showed us bigger room & called back down to front desk to get us moved. We went down to front desk and they agreed to move us to bigger room but had to come back in an hour (which didn't make any sense because maid showed us room she just cleaned and was ready). New room was much bigger and nicer. Beds comfy, large bathroom, and just really nice room. Breakfast had a good selection from eggs, sausage, bisuits & gravy, make your own waffles, fruit, cereals, muffins, etc. Very nice selection. Hotel had pool but it was closed since it was October. Small exercise room with 4 pieces equipment. Very nice lobby and eating area. Will use this hotel again when we go back next year.

We had been on vacation for nine days and of those days we stayed at the Hampton in both Nashville and Dayton, Ohio . They were both wonderful. Clean, did not smell, staff was very friendly and helpful to our needs. Even tho we arrived two hours early at Nashville they were very nice and said our room was ready and that we could go to it. Nice suite and close to activities. Hotel bus will take you to Opryland and pick you up. Initial greeting at hotel desk wasn't very pleasant because we were early. After check-in, everyone was helpful. Andrea at the front desk was outstanding with her helpful suggestions. Breakfast time was usually a joy with very nice people. I would stay again.

We were attending a convention at Opryland Hotel. This Hampton was very close and offered free shuttle service. Saved us parking fees of $22/day. Staff very friendly. Hotel nicely decorated and clean. Breakfast good. No real complaints here.
