The hotel was located just a short walk away from the Finnair City Bus stop (Hesperia Park), the Music Centre, and about a 10-minute walk from the main railway station and the Forum and Kamppi shopping stores. There are four spacious aparmtents to a floor, giving the place a very cozy feel. The kitchen was well-equipped with utensils, pots/pans, coffee maker and hot water pot, large paper towel and large garbage bags were provided, the TV had a selection of about a dozen channels (CNN, CNBC, NHK World, etc.), and there was even a direct phone line to the room. Internet was through WLAN. The reception desk is open only on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., but if you are not in need of 24/7 service, this should not inconvenience you at all. Cleaning is twice a week, but if you think about how most people live at home, that should not be a big deal. You can take out the garbage between cleaning days if necessary. There is a beverage vending machine at the entrance, laundry is free of charge (if you provide your own detergent). My room on the top floor was facing the park across the street and the National Museum a block away. On snowy mornings, the snow-covered branches of the tress in the park painted a classic wintry landscape. I am extremely satisfied with my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you are staying for a few days and like the convenience of being able to take care of yourself even when traveling.

Beautiful property - I stayed at the"B" building on the East penninsula - across from the Viking Lines port. If you are going to/from City Center, take the 4 tram - about a 5 minute ride, 1.5 euros only. The room is a huge apartment with forier, living room, bedroom, bath & fully stocked kitchen. Around the corner is a market so you can buy groceries and make your own meals. Facing the port & around the corner, be sure to have a coffee and pastry at the Italian coffee shop - the owner is entertaining and the coffee is best in town. BE SURE TO GET YOUR ROOM CODE before you depart; if you have a Fin cellular phone, no problem. If you do not, call for your code before you arrive in Helsinki - I was standing outside the property late at night trying to find a way in - I finally had to walk to a bar and use their internet to make a Skype call.

The room was very comfortable (the heated bathroom floor was welcome on a cold day), the wi-fi worked great, and the breakfast fare was plentiful, varied, and delicious. The Hotel Seurahuone is within a couple of blocks of many of the city's main attractions. I would definitely stay there again.

I had a connecting flight through Helsinki. Not enough time on this occasion to go into the city but I did need a room for the night. This hotel did fit... my needs. A swift check-in for me. The sauna is open until midnight and since I arrived at 11pm I went there late. I had the place to myself. Great. My room was clean and comfortable. I loved the fact that the room had tea/coffee making facilities. I decided not to have breakfast at the hotel. The price was about 17 euro. I had a free morning (before my afternoon flight to the US). It was a 10 - 15 minute walk to the 'Jumbo' shopping mall. I had a leisurely stroll around and a bite to eat for a lot less than the hotel breakfast. The 'free' bus to the hotel from and to the airport was so easy. We thought that the location was good in that staying outside of Helsinki kept the cost down. The combination of the hotel buss to the airport and there hopping on a buss there to Helsinki City Center made it a convenient and inexpensive visit. The hotel room was small, but farily clean. The shower was extremely tite and when you open the ssawer, the water was running every where. I had to sweap all the time, others wise, the water will be runnin into the room. The control remote of the TV, it didn't work m thats is was to be changed by manual.

We were very pleased with the helpfulness and graciousness of the staff. The room was comfortable. The dinner in the restaurant was very good. All in all, the stay was quite pleasant. Thank you very much.

this was very close to the airport with a free bus shuttle running to and from the airport. the shuttle started really early, which was great because we had an early morning flight. the hotel was very nice with super comfy beds and good tv and other amenities.

This is a nice hotel and extremely convenient to the airport and even with a free shuttle bus to the airport that runs 24 hrs. However, a group of teenagers were staying in the same corridor and were having an extremely loud and rambunctious party. They were blasting loud music which shook the walls, were slamming and banging on doors and were drinking […] and screaming in the hallway. When we informed the hotel staff and asked to be moved, they said the hotel was full and that they couldn't do anything for us. Also, we asked for them to come up and end the party, but it took them well past midnight to get the situation under control. As this is an airport hotel and we were just staying there for the night as our flight departed at 7:30 the next morning, it was extremely aggravating and disappointing to have to deal with this nuisance. I would be so upset if we hadn't booked our room 6 months in advance, there was no reason to put us in the same corridor as people they knew where going to have a party. Read more

About 10 mins drive from Helsinki airport & free shuttle bus running every 20 mins makes this an easy choice when transiting thru Helsinki. But hotel rooms are worn out & breakfast buffet is very expensive.

I booked an executive room (thanks to amazing price from hotels.com) the room was beyond good. The layout was perfect & I couldnt find a single fault. Word of advise, if are going there book the executive room, you wont regret it. Staff was extremely helpful & the breakfast was good. The free shuttle to and from the airport is always handy.

Clean, tidy room with everything needed. Excellent food in the restaurant. Bed was too soft but that's just my opinion. Short bus ride to airport with frequent free service. neighbourhood marked as 5 but didn't explore - needs a not applicable option really.

Stayed in the hotel for a night before catching a flight back home. There are free transfers to and fro from airport.Able to go to the city via public transport. About 30 minutes to go to the town.

We stayed here as our flight landed very late andit was to late to carry on to our fnal destination that night. The hotel hs a free shutle bus to/from the airport and the journey is short. The room had a laminate floor which we liked (ie no carpet) and the beds were comfortable. Great fair size bathroom with exvelent water pressure and good quality […] toiletries. We did not have brakfast included and did not want tp pay extra for it as it was EUR 17 each. The lobby had a small fridge with yogurts, sandwiches etc and complimentary coffee which was appreciated. It was a little like the Formula1 hotels located near Australian airports and is ideal for catching early morning flights as we had to. Restaurant was a little expensive but there are no other options. Their shuttle bus was very efficient.
