We stayed here to go to the Biltmore. It was just outside the gate. The service was impeccable and friendly. It's in walking distance of great restaurants, shopping, and even a brewery.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel 2 times and absolutely love it! It gives you easy access to the shops and restaurants in Biltmore Village as well as easy access to the Biltmore Estate, if you wish to tour it. Asheville downtown is only a couple of miles away and the blueridge parkway with trailheads for hiking is close by. The hotel restaurant serves local bison and elk and has a very romantic atmosphere with live music in the bar and lounge. Great getaway in the mountains!

My family, including 3 kids and our dog stayed after spending the day at Biltmore. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and so welcoming of our 40 lb. Visla puppy. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean and very comfortable.

First, great location. Close to town and in the village. The staff was so friendly, everyone had a smile on their faces and said a nice hello. The decor is just fun! My kids loved it. Our room was quiet and made for a nice restful night. We would stay here again!

The hotel was done in the manner of a hunting lodge, which we both appreciated. With all the antlers, artwork and hides, it was very out-of-the-ordinary. The king room was in the lodge across the street and was detailed for comfort and convenience. We especially appreciated the blackout curtains on the windows and separating the bathroom from the bed area. We could turn the bathroom lights to their lowest setting on the rheostat, then pull the curtains and have a very unobtrusive night light. Very thoughtfully done. The front desk staff and valets were very friendly and helpful. There were newspapers, coffee service and a bowl of fruit in the common area. The only problem was not with the hotel itself but with the traffic lights. If you stay in the building across the street, the light cycle is very long and the crossing signal is brief. So you can get your exercise by dashing across the street.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary here thanks to our daughter and son-in-law. From the moment we arrived to departure we were treated like royalty! The staff was gracious and so welcoming. Our room was upgraded and it was beautiful with special amenities like Starbucks coffee and a Bose radio. The hotel was elegant in the style of a European hunting lodge with gorgeous furnishings and chandeliers. We had a grand time!

I made a reservation for my husband and I including our 7 year old son. The room they put us in was right next to the employee entrance for the reception room. There was a wedding while we were there so all night we heard music and servers coming in and out. The hotel could not move us as they were sold out. The reservation stated we were with a child so I was not happy trying to get him to go to sleep until 11. The hotel did give us half off that night but I think they should of comped the whole night as we were there 3 nights.

Excellent hotel and service. Gorgeous newly redone rooms with a lodge theme. Stayed with my spouse for one night and really enjoyed it. Across the street from the entrance to Biltmore and minutes from downtown Asheville. Definitely try out the Red Stag restaurant in the hotel while you're there!

Beautiful rooms with a lodge environment that makes it warm and coZy. Very friendly valets who did a great service and the registration staff were very attentive when I arrived before my room was ready. There are no ATMs in the area but fortunately they have one in the hotel! Life saver. And since they have a spa, there are lots of candles everywhere which makes it feel like a resort instead of just a hotel. Also, my female colleague and I loved how there were hand scrubs in the ladies room that we could use for free! Little details that were a nice touch. They apparently have great sink-in bath tubs but I got one with a shower and it was huge with a great waterfall head. Again, made you feel like you were staying at a spa. I was only there one night but it was incredibly relaxing. Only thing to be aware of is that it is quite seasonal so the bar and restaurant close quite early on slow nights (I think 10pm for restaurant and 12am for bar).

The hotel is very nice. Loved the decor, rooms and especially the restaurant. The food was excellent. We would not re book due to the location of the hotel. The noise from outside traffic is very loud (starting at 6:00 AM). If you do book, bring your own sound machine for in the morning. They have a nice Bose Stereo but even with that playing the traffic is loud. A sound machine on the night stand might kill the noise. Other than that, the hotel is well worth the stay. We will definitely come back to eat here again. A suggestion to the hotel- sound machines in each room or perhaps new windows may help? So sad as you all thought of everything else. The hotel is lovely.

We had a pleasent stay at the Grand Bohemian. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. My only complaint was that the breakfast, which we asked to include in our price, was by far, the worst breakfast we have ever had. We ate two of our three breakfast at the hotel and didn't bother with the last day because it was so bad. The first problem was when the waitress, on both occasions, told us what they were out of before taking our order. They were out of bagels, english muffins and the steak and egg breakfast. The pancakes were so mushy and the sausage was pink the first time it was served. I sent it back and it came out a little less pink. The waitress said it was because they used pink sea salt. The coffee in the room was starbucks, the coffee in the restaurant, was a different brand and the worse I have ever tasted. The food was altogether terrible and ill prepared. I would not recommend it to anyone.

By far, staying at the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Asheville, NC was one of the BEST couple's getaways for this time of year (January). We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and couldn't have had a better weekend! The Red Stagg Grill in the hotel is AWESOME! Breakfast was included in our package. The fireplace in the lobby is so inviting...we could have just sat on the couch right there all evening long, while listening to Chris Rhodes playing (he played our song for us 'Wonderful Tonight' by Eric Clapton for us). We went to Biltmore and spent 7 hours touring the grounds (1 1/2 hours of which was touring the house)..1/2 hour was for lunch there as well. :-)

The hotel was amazing. I really have absolutely nothing negative to report about this trip. We met a couple celebrating a birthday and socialized with them in the bar and in the main lobby for quite some time. We discovered that it was one of their birthdays after the bar had already closed. I sought champagne so that they could properly celebrate her birthday, but we were let down when we learned that the bar was closed. However, the front desk clerk overheard me say, "how can you properly celebrate a birthday without champagne?," and he then decided to surprise us with a free bottle of champagne and ice cream. This amazing employee even put a candle on the ice cream. I believe his name was Blake? Not only was he a great team player for the grand Bohemian staff, he obviously has a certain great skill that often lacking in society today -- empathetic mindfulness for other human beings and their respective sutuations. Will I stay here again? Obviously, yes.

This was our first trip to Asheville so we have nothing to compare it to as far as other hotels in the area. I was disappointed because the hotel was VERY expensive (over $600 a night) and it did not deliver. I have stayed at other hotels at that rate and they blew this one away. It obviously was because of the time of the year (Christmas) that drove the rate up so high. I would not go back during this time nor pay that rate for any hotel in this area. The hotel itself was nice but not over the top. It has a bavarian type theme and is relatively small. The rooms were nice and the bathroom was the best part with heated floors in the private water closet area. There was no tub but a generous walk-in shower. The staff was friendly and helpful, although there was an incident that did not bode well for the bar staff. The hotel provided complimentary coffee all day and evening but we came in late one night after the coffee service was cleared. We went to the bar and asked for coffee and were charged $5.00 a cup by one of the bartenders. On the other hand, my granddaughter had ordered a club soda from another bartender and she gave it to her at no charge. I guess it depends on who you get. Overall, it's a very nice hotel but definitely overpriced! I would not go here again based solely on the rate.

They make the most out of a small room. Very well appointed and comfortable. However, we could hear the people next to our room. At least I could hear the man who had a voice that carried. If there was someone else in the room, I couldn't hear them. Very clean and comfortable and felt elegant.

the hotel was gracious. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Close to everything a tourist would want. We wanted to have authentic German food and a staff member went out of his way to get the address and telephone number of two restaurants and brought them to our room. The Grand Bohemian is not a big hotel but it offers comfort and luxury. You don't feel like you are 1 of the 1,000 guests but you feel special. I asked for the room to be cleaned at 9pm, no problem. The bar and restaurant as well as the hall are beautifully decorated and offer that luxury without being too much.

A little pricy but delivers the goods. Excellent staff, super friendly. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and stone throw to Biltmore. Great vibe, great atmosphere, not stuffy like most hotels in this price range. Loved every bit of it!!!

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, we even received a bottle of champagne for our anniversary. The room was clean and very comfortable and the bathroom was immaculate. My only complaint is related to the number of housekeeping carts that congregated on the second floor. I am sure there is a method to the madness but there were times that the we had to run a gauntlet of 6-8 carts to get to the elevator. Considering the number of housekeeping staff on hand we were surprised to find that after leaving our room from 10-3 our room had not be cleaned. Not a big deal, I made the bed and we had towels but for the price and reputation I expected a quick clean and waste can emptying. Our waiter, Paul, in the Red Stag Restaurant was outstanding. He was friendly and down to earth and made our dinner all the more enjoyable. The bar staff was also provided great service and were very friendly.

Would give a higher rating except we were put in the annex, had to cross a very busy street carrying all of our luggage coming and leaving since the car stays in the main hotel.
