The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, we even received a bottle of champagne for our anniversary. The room was clean and very comfortable and the bathroom was immaculate. My only complaint is related to the number of housekeeping carts that congregated on the second floor. I am sure there is a method to the madness but there were times that the […] we had to run a gauntlet of 6-8 carts to get to the elevator. Considering the number of housekeeping staff on hand we were surprised to find that after leaving our room from 10-3 our room had not be cleaned. Not a big deal, I made the bed and we had towels but for the price and reputation I expected a quick clean and waste can emptying. Our waiter, Paul, in the Red Stag Restaurant was outstanding. He was friendly and down to earth and made our dinner all the more enjoyable. The bar staff was also provided great service and were very friendly. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect Location For a Biltmore Visit"
If you're into darker motif designs along the lines of a Colorado chalet with a Bohemian touch, it doesn't get better than this place. From the valets to the bartender to the gigantic stone shower, the Grand Bohemian rocks.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Had a very good time. Would stay here again. Everyone was very nice and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
How could anything be bad about a stay in a hotel as beautiful as this one. Another stay at a Kessler hotel is a must.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel property actually has two buildings, both on very busy streets. You must check in at the main building, then cross the street with your luggage in tow - not a pleasant experience. The noise level from the street is incredible - dump trucks day and night, fire station just down the street, and hospital nearby with sirens days and night. Do […] not stay n the street side. The hotel appearance is great, the experience in the Manor building was not. Not worth the price if you stay in that building, Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Grand Bohemian Asheville, Autograph Collection I’m very sorry to hear that you were disappointed in the hotel’s location. Unfortunately, it sounds like you experienced higher than normal traffic noise during your visit. Please accept my sincere apology for any inconvenience that you experienced. Our Bell Staff is always available to escort guests to their guestrooms and transport luggage. We do identify each building by specific room type descriptions and different rates on our website and our reservation call center. From Grand Bohemian Hotel, you are also just steps from the historic Biltmore Estate and just a short walk to local shops and galleries located in Historic Biltmore Village. We would love another opportunity to regain your trust and would assign you a room in a quiet area of the hotel.
"all things dead"
"put an antler on it Asheville" Nice hunting lodge decor, busy noisy street, but rich at the entrance to the Vanderbilt estate. Good food in the restaurant, although the portion of the flagship elk tenderloin wouldn't feed a chipmunk. Really helpful guy on the desk, professional service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We made reservation simply because the location was close to the Biltmore estate which was the focus of our trip. Our Anniversary was special and became even more special when they provided us with a special bottle of champagne. Because of our standing in the Marriott Rewards program we were upgraded to a beautiful suite. In the afternoon we had enjoyed […] drinks at the bar while we spoke with the sommelier about a wine for dinner. When we returned that evening for dinner we were presented with two glasses of champagne that was compliments of one of the hotel guest. She had over heard our conversation at the bar earlier and wanted to add to our special night. The dinner was magnificent and the service was impeccable! We chose to have breakfast in our room the next day. The food was prepared as ordered, served hot, and in a timely manner. We spent two nights and the location gave us an opportunity to check out some of the shops and restaurants adjacent to the hotel. Over all our stay was wonderful!!! "An excellent hotel in Biltmore Village"
When we checked in the staff took care of our car and placed our luggage in our room, freeing us to stroll around Biltmore village. When we went to our room, it was beautifully appointed with a luxurious king size bed with plenty of down pillows, a pillow soft mattress with an underlying firmness. The bathroom had a tub for two (of which we took advantage) […] and a shower stall large enough for both of us (of which we also took advantage). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. We loved the location in Biltmore Village, close to excellent restaurants but away from the bustle of downtown Asheville. A great place to relax but close to many activities.Genuine Expedia guest review
Walking distance to restaurants and shopping, great spa treatments, excellent location for Biltmore.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My husband and I stayed one night while we were on town. What a wonderful surprise to find such a fine hotel beginning to end. It is small , luxurious, excellent service, food was outstanding, We had dinner and breakfast cared in the village right outside the gates of the Biltmore. We will definitely be back only stay longer.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Incredibly pleasantly surprised"
All expectations were far exceeded! Greeted by a happy, kind valet guy. Then entered a lavishly appointed hotel lobby. The consierre was very engaged & attentive. The room was beautiful and clean and had romantic music playing upon our arrival. Food at the hotel restaurant was excellent. Looking forward to an opportunity to return!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is beautiful and the service was first class. Our room was lovely however if you do not require much sleep this is not the hotel for you. The train travels by the hotel several times during the night. Also, our room was either next to the washing machine area or there was a bad ac unit above our room. There was a continuous beating and rumbling […] throughout the night. It is a wonderful, luxurious hotel. If we stay there again I would make sure my room is located in a quieter location. Our breakfast was not up to par as the bagel was moldy, waffles not cooked completely and the omelet was not fabulous. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Marginal at best."
Front desk staff and parking attendants are wonderful and helpful. Poor design of the room and bathroom. Cleaning staff lacks training. Linens are not fitting the price of the room. Terrible cheap pillows. Low quality towels. Pretentious decor with too many animal carcases on the property. GPH in NYC accomplishes bohemian look and atmosphere without […] excess of dead animals. Ball room is beautiful and does not resemble rest of the hotel decor. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Beautiful Hotel at Biltmore Estate Entrance"
Facility, restaurant, staff, parking and friendliness all top notch, We had a wonderful experience with each staff member we encountered, from parking attendant, valet, front desk and restaurant staff. Absolutely no complaints. There was a slight glitch at checkout on billing, but that was remedied courteously and apologetically for the inconvenience. "The Center of Attention"
The hotel was beautiful, plenty of furnishings and artwork to enjoy. The Red Stag restaurant, and the Poseidon Spa located within, were excellent. The Hotel's lodge-like theme was maintained throughout, which led to some really creative settings. Every staff member (and I mean literally anyone I happened to bump into) was very friendly and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is the epitome of customer service. I accidentally booked for the wrong weekend and realized my mistake on the 6th hour of a 7 hour drive. I called the receptionist Liz in a panic to tell her we were an hour out and ask if there was any way she could she help us. She made it happen despite the late hour over a holiday weekend AND a wedding […] party staying at the hotel! I had originally requested a room with a tub but with the date mix up, there wasn't a room with a tub available. To our surprise on the last night Al was able to move us into a GORGEOUS room with a tub on our last night! Throughout our stay Liz, Robyn, and Al provided free happy hour, exquisite dinning recommenations, and made our stay absolutely wonderful! As Al said, they are in the business of making memories and the Grand Bohemian helped make memories that will last us a lifetime. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Awesome and relaxing place to stay"
Were there for 2 nights. Hotel is amazingly beautiful and comfortable. We found all staff members friendly and service oriented, perhaps best all around was bellman who collected our items the final day and helped move some antiques from one care to another. The Red Stag is awesome, delicious food and drinks... Can sit in the lobby by the fire and the […] servers from bar will come out and continue to take care of you. We will be back, already planning the next trip. This is one of the top 3 hotels have ever stayed in, including 5 stars in Europe. Many thanks Grand Bohemian! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A one-of-a-kind hotel"
The Grand Bohemian is hard to describe - a mixture of African Safari, Sound of Music, and Soho in NYC. We had asked for a high floor in the main building and got it. We were welcomed with a glass of champagne and friendly service. Liz was wonderful at the front desk and answered our questions. The Biltmore Estates was right there and we enjoyed eating […] in the Biltmore village (breakfast at The Corner Kitchen and dinner at the Cantina and Reza were good choices). Our room had a great tub and a comfortable bed. Great furniture, detailed woodworking throughout hotel. It may not be for everyone but it certainly was for us. A comfortable, eclectic and classy place without any airs. I loved all the different chandeliers and artwork. The valets were friendly as well. We didn't make use of the bar (but many guests did) but perhaps next time. It was a great start to a visit to Charlotte and Asheville (our first time in North Carolina). I extremely enjoyed my stay at the Grand Bohemian. The architecture & art is absolutely beautiful! The room was exceptionally nice. Comfy bed, amazing shower (large rain shower head), clean and unique decor. The Red Stag Grill was very good for breakfast as well. The only negative thing about the experience was the parking. It wasn't clear as to where […] I should go (you actually drive into hotel) and a sign would have been nice instructing where to go. "Magnificent Hotel at the doorstep of Biltmore"
From check in to when we had to leave, the staff continued to be knowledgeable and friendly. We had a medical need and asked to be checked in early if possible, they came through gladly. Throughout the stay we had conversations with many of the friendly, courteous staff. The room was exquisite and very clean. We ate at The Red Stag twice, both breakfast […] and dinner. Both meals were beautiful and delicious. The décor is quite inviting and magnificent, we spent lots of time just looking around each floor in awe. We received quite an education from the gal in the Art Gallery which is also a must see!! Thank you to all at Grand Bohemian for the best vacation. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Stayed in the Manor House , their annex across the street from the main hotel. The room was spacious and well appointed. "Great Romantic Getaway Weekend"
My wife and I stated here for a romantic getaway and this hotel did not disappoint! Rooms were uniquely crafted as a blend of the rustic mountains with a NYC flair. Music was playing from a cd when we walked into the room and it matched the hotel motif so well we kept it playing. The staff were incredibly gracious. The surrounding area was nice but […] not particularly worth a lot of time. Steps from the Biltmore Estate gates. Overally this was an amazing romantic getaway hotel for 30 somethings. "Great hotel in Biltmore Village"
Our stay was extremely pleasant - the hotel is in great condition and the decorating is very well done. It is right in Biltmore Village, across the street from the entrance into the Biltmore Estate. The beds were comfortable, and the staff was helpful. There were many small touches that made the stay very special. Would definitely stay again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location with lots of shopping near-by - directly across the street from the entrance to the Biltmore estate. The rooms were nicely appointed, staff was wonderfully courteous, and the food we had at the Red Stag grill was second to none!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
So disappointing to arrive and learn that your room is in "The Annex". This is across a busy street from the main property, and it can take 4-5 minutes to walk there because of the traffic light. The room is fine, but it is completely separate from the main property and all it's charms. The annex is sterile compared to the main property. You lose all […] the convenience of walking to the bar, the fitness center, the car park, everything! I really think they should alert you at reservation that you are being put there. If you are, I would stay elsewhere, as it is just not worth it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very Unexpected Dissapointment"
My wife and I stayed at the Bohemian recently while vacationing in Asheville and had an incredibly bad experience. As an aside, this was truly the first aggregious experience I have had at any hotel which would warrant such a review. The hotel and rooms are beautiful- but Incredibly Noisy. The first night, we kept hearing loud banging noises (such as […] pipes or metallic objects being hit) next door. This went on sporatically from 9pm to 12:30am. We tried I ignore it at first- bc we love how gorgeous it was- but finally realized we could not sleep. I went to the front desk I complain about the noise. With little empathy, he offered to move us to another room. He noted- "the 3rd floor should be much more quiet than the 2nd". This statement alone concerned me because he initially responded to me with disbelief but now it seemed he was acknowledging a common noise problem. When we get to our room, we realize he moved us to a space which was significantly smaller. When we got settled in, we then heard another loud noise- this time coming from outside. I looked out and realized the noise was a cleaning service vacuuming the hotel's shuttle vans. I'm not sure which bothered me more- 1) management chose to have the vacuuming done at 1am, or 2) that the hotel was so noisy we could hear vacuuming from the third floor while in our room. Again, I went down to complain and was met with very little compassion. Needless to say, I canceled our remaining nights and we moved to the Doubletree the next night- a much more pleasant, quiet and relaxing experience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Took my wife for our Anniversary weekend and the hotel is amazing. They serve you with Champagne when you walk through the door. The room accomodations are just awesome, with my favorite part of the room being the shower - which is like a rain shower but it was a perfect blend of water capacity coupled with the temperature of the water - it was just […] plain awesome. "It was Valentines weekend"
We decided at the last minute to go to Asheville. The town and food alone are worth the trip. The staff at the Grande Bohemian were fantastic and couldn't do enough for their guests. The room however, was not great. We paid over $400 a night and we could barely move in the room. It was not comfortable, at all. There were no tables nor an area to read […] or just relax. There was just a chair and the bed. The vanity in the bathroom was so small, hard to fit our things on it. They didn't even offer any complimentary waters. There were waters in the room, but the cost was $5.00 per water! Not impressed! The only way we will return, is if, we get a room much cheaper. The staff was so great, we would always enjoy the service! The hotel itself nothing special! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
