Large resort, nice pools, nice people, ok food at best, barely a beach (if your into that), overall rating of mine would be a 6.5 out of 10.

Good choice restaurants but with outstanding food in some of them,and mediocre in others. Very relaxing an enjoyable stay. It is a large resort and although there large open spaces in the design I think that it could feel crowded in the high season.

First, I realize I went there on the weekend before New Year's but the check in process left a lot to be desired. My room was not ready until after 4pm. The staff were busy chatting with each other. That process needs some serious fine tuning. And whatever you do, do not go to the front desk to receive your beach towel. You will grow a gray hair or […] six. I will say, I did like their beach, even though half the chairs available were broken (no lift mechanism allowing a person to sit up, only flat). I saw a member of their staff combing the beach and picking up trash showing pride in their property. The aesthetics of the room were pleasing. The pillows are not comfortable at all. The food was very good and the waiters were nice. However, if you are a female walking along on your own, be prepared that you will be approached by the male staff. It's actually kind of uncomfortable. Check out was very quick, which was great, but don't expect them to walk up 3 flights of stairs, come to your room, and pick up your bags. The hotel itself was beautiful and the beaches were amazing. There were several distinctly different beaches and even the larger beach had several different coves so we didn't feel like we were crowded. The food, the service, and the room, however, were disappointing to say the least. The food was average at best and the restaurants were open for short […] periods of time, so we had to schedule our time around these short windows and then wait when we got there because everyone else was doing the same. There was only 1 consistent choice for food and that was an American-style sports bar with bad food. Even the traditional Jamaican food was not prepared well. The jerked chicken was simply plain grilled chicken with sauce on top. It's a sad day when you can get better traditional Jamaican food in Arlington, TX. Service was just bad. Some staff was nice and accommodating, but far too many seemed angry and either unhappy to be there or unhappy about doing their jobs. We don't care too much about the quality of the room, but I would have preferred an air mattress to the bed. The sheets were extremely thin and I'm not sure they washed them once during our 8-night stay. The pillows were like little rocks, but you can rent better ones from the hotel for around $3 a day each. Cheap. I think they took the 'Do Not Disturb' sign as a challenge to disturb us as often as possible. Read more

The resort is beautiful overall and the layout is amazing and huge. For half the price of Sandals it was a great deal. However it is not on a real beach, which we were not aware of. The ocean views are amazing and the rocky terrain is beautiful also there is a small man made beach with snorkeling, kayaking etc which is nice and very scenic. The most disappointing thing was the staff which was rude overall, always looking for tips and to sell you something not included and if you don't buy they roll their eyes at helping with the included stuff. Seems like they are underpaid. Also we were charged extra for the ocean view which was not what Expedia said, I then found the front desk expects a tip too or they charge this fee. The Grand Palladium in Montego Bay was beautiful. The resort had a vast amount of amentities and restaurants to accomodate you. Me and my husband had a suite and it was amazing. Make sure when you visit this resort that you go to Bubba's Steakhouse because the steak is amazing there but be prepared to wait. If you don't get their early, get their late […] b/c the table wait will be extremely long. I do have a few problems with the resort for example the staff. The waiters and waitresses at the restaurants was very pleasant. I would have to say that shed a negative light on my experience at the Grand Palladium. If staff at the restaurants was more pleasant, I would give it 5 stars all the way across and make sure I go back to this resort but I won't be going back due to that fact. The Grand Palladium was awesome. Much more then epected. Everything is right on the property. The pools, the spa, the ocean, the bars, dancing and oh yeah all the restaurants. We didnt have to wait or want for anything. The room was beautiful. We had an ocean view. We ended up arriving at the hotel 2 days later than planned due to Hurricane Sandy (airports closed). Upon arrival they had no reservation for us in the system. The desk employee was rude and not helpfull and they had no rooms ready for us after traveling all day. Once we got a room the expierience worsend. The room smelled of must, had a leak in the […] bathroom ceiling on to the toilet and the bed was hard as a rock. The food was terrible in the "theme" restaurants, the buffet was ok. They advertise all these restaurants but don't tell you only certain ones are open on certain days, so the variety on any one day is minimal. The beach area was terrible. Half of the employees were nice the other half were obnoxious. The one highlight was the guest relations who on the second day gave us a new room which was much better. Not worth the money. attributes. However the lack the attention to detail makes staying there frustrating. Examples; 1) I wanted a suite with a seaside view. You cannot request one at booking, only two weeks before arrival. I sent four emails to their web site-got no response. When I arrived Saturday I was told I could move on the following Wednesday. […] When Wed. came ..so sorry. 2) We had a light bulb go out on day one, ten days later it was not fixed 3) We paid for the premium Wi-Fi @$10US/day. It kept failing 6 days. 4) They advertise multiple specialty resteraunts open every day..only during the busy season. In September they rotate them, all are not open every day. All-inclusive doesn't include lobster-that's an additional $30 US. The dress codes are strange, you can wear torn jeans and a bob Marley T-shirt to the best resteraunt but not a $200 shirt and trousers that show 3" of a man's calf..unless you are a woman and then anything appears to be appropriate. 5) They cut our electricity on two seperate days for maintenance. 6) I was asked five times each and every day by if I wanted to go on paid excursions. They left a note at my door that I won a prize. It was the opportunity to go on the one hour sales pitch to join the travel club. 7) A bag of potato chips was $8US and clear calamine lotion(4 oz) was $23.50US. 8) By the time the people upstairs used the whirlpool in their room and water leaked through the ceiling into ours we took it in stride and laughed. For the most part everything was great. There were only a few complaints. The rooms did not look like the pictures. The so called ''mini bar'' is 2 beers, 2 waters, and 2 sodas. Not a mini bar, and if you wanted extra you had to pay. Half of the resturants were closed, and the rest were open every other day. My husband and I liked the hotel and was treated well, we however had a very difficult time dealing with the smokers at the hotel. We are non-smokers and the only place we felt comfortable was in our room and the smoke free restaurants. We didn't complain about it because we thought nothing could be done about it. Wow. I have done cruises and other all inclusives, and overall this was the best. Staff was amazing, very friendly, and the "people of palladium" kept things lively. The main pool was usually a party, and the relax and adult pools as well as beach and cove areas, which were very beautiful, were very chill. We would hit the main pool for most of day, […] then migrate somewhere for some relaxing before dinner. Food? Buffet had good selection, sports bar burger with jerk sauce happened a few times as well. The resort is HUGE, and I liked the scenery and walking. They have carts to take bags, or people (8 or so per cart) which was great for my sister, whom had a broken foot - call the desk and they show up in 2-10 minutes usually. Also, I'm a big coffee drinker, and the buffet coffee was top notch! Add in a little rum cream after dinner, awesome. Overall, great time. Food was done very well, especially the seafood, which I caught on to day 2, and ate for the rest of the trip! I love me some Red Stripe too! As much money as this hotel brings in they really need to invest in purchasing new and comfortable mattresses. Sleeping on the mattress was like sleeping on the floor, it was horrible. The rooms also need air freshners and fresher smelling bed linen. When we arrived our room was clean of course, but as the days passed we only got our room cleaned once. […] We had to call more than three times to request clean towels; which we thought was ridiculous. Again, for all of the money this hotel makes, and ALL of the money WE spent to stay there the service should have been surperb across the board. As for the food, it was good; however, it could have been so much better if it was hot. Every meal we got was lukewarm. As for the dress code, it needs to be a little flexible for the men. It is already 100 degrees there and in the restaurants, so give the guys a break and allow them to wear shorts and a nice shirt instead of long pants. If they would work on improving the things mentioned above, it would be a great place to stay. Now for the positive side. The staff/customer service was great! While this resort is not a 5 star, it is a very good deal for the money. Nice beaches, good food, friendly staff. The rooms are nice and large. Our room was about as far from the food and activities as you could get. It was a long walk to everything, but that was not a bad thing after over eating and drinking all of the time.

I booked six rooms for my daughters wedding. The rooms are nice and have plenty of space, but the bed's were terrible. Did not sleep good at all. They have mini fridge's in the rooms but none of them in the six rooms kept anything cold, so pointless. The bathrooms all had whirpool tubs but most had no drain stoppers? Again we used an overturned water […] glass to stop it up. The wedding was nice, but maybe not worth what they charged. And we had to pay extra for each guest that attended over eight people. Why I am not sure because the resort is suppose to be all inclusive, and everyone's trip was paid for once.
