"Bugs, broken glass doors, and bad service"
08/12/14 Eric R Hudson, Florida, United States
well they only clean rooms once a week. They dont care if they move you into a room full of bugs. When you ask to move to another room they more you to another room full of bugs. Also broken glass sliding door. I will never go back to this place.
"Great rooms & nice pool area."

This was our 1st time at Mizner Place and was pleasantly surprised. The complex was near a lot of restaurants and the Publix grocery shopping was right down the street. We had what they call an "A" room that was fully equipped and the pool was in the center of the complex that was well taken care of. Plenty of activities. We also took the one day bus tour to Key West, plenty of time to eat and see the city. Just do not get stuck going on the RCI presentation, very long presentation.
We stayed as an rci exchange for three days and was charged an extra $65 "inconvenience" charge for housekeeping since they had to clean it mid week. They didn't do a great job cleaning, though because there were black hairs in the master tub. The front office staff was rude to me because we were only staying three days and they're "accustomed to their guests staying for seven." Good luck if you are taking kids there for a week because they will be bored. The activities are not kid friendly. Bingo is played mid day for guests 18+ and whenever no one signed up, they turned the music off and said the next activity would start in two hours. The kids are not permitted rafts, balls, or any games in the pools. The shops and restaurants are the best part of the place because it actually gives you something to do. Finally, when checking out, the clerk decided to answer the phone instead of helping the person standing right in front of him! So I helped myself to the complimentary coffee and waited for him to finish his call. We will not be going back.
"6th year staying here"

I Haven been coming to the Mizner for the past 6yrs. I have to say... I have good times as well as bad times.. Rupert the Pool supervisor is a Gem what a great guy! the only thing I have to complain about is the DRAGGGGIIINNNGGGG OF THE CHAIRS... 4 in the Morning 5 in the morning All Morning Long!! That I really wanted to go upstairs and remove the chairs... I feel that the furniture is a bit worn out but over all I love that I can walk into town to have dinner and I feel safe enough that my 21 and my 16 yr can hang in town to eat there Ice Cream or just walk around.

The resort is centrally located between Ft Lauderdale and Miami which was perfect for the purpose of our visit. We had an "A" unit with a kitchen which made it nice when we wanted to cook. The unit was clean and had all that was needed. There is a Publix supermarket within walking distance and Town-center had shops and restaurants. There are several golf courses nearby. If you are a beach person the beach is a little far from the resort. If you want to go to the beach plan for a full day as you won't want to drive back-and-forth. Overall we had a good experience. The furniture in our unit needs some updating. The one negative during the trip was my credit card was cloned and the only two places I used the card was at the resort when I checked-in and a restaurant named D'Angelo's. Keep an eye on your online credit card statements. AMX alerted me when it happened so it was no big deal, however a pain.
"THE WORSE PLACE EVER"
07/01/14 Maria R Brooklyn, New York
We went to this place for a relaxing vacations, well the place was a nightmare, the TV didn't work because of construction in the area, we lost power almost every night, the RCI people LIED TO US, it was the worse place ever, PEOPLE DON'T GO THERE IS YOU WANT A GREAT VACATION, IF YOU LOOKING FOR A NIGHTMARE THEN GO, VERY DISSAPOINTED
"Fire Alarm nightmare!"

We had both A&B unit on the third floor overlooking the courtyard. The room was quiet and though our balcony view was limited because of the trees, it was pleasant to sit there and have morning coffee. The furniture in the unit is really looking worn and is past time to be replaced. The sofa was so uncomfortable we had to get bed pillows to sit on. The units were very clean and the paint looked fresh and nice. It would have been nice to have a pizza pan or cookie sheet, but we made do. When I checked in, before I could get a parking pass, I was really pressured to come to breakfast or lunch. I've been sucked into those deals before and firmly said I was not interested. The person kept pushing, wanting to know why. Then every day in the morning, the phone rang in each unit. No one that we know had the number so based on past experience I knew it was someone trying to get us to come hear the sales pitch. We didn't answer the phone. There were TWO false alarm fire "drills". The last one was the day we checked out and I was in the shower at 6:00 in the morning!! There had been numerous power bumps during the week we stayed there and I'm guessing that is what triggered the false alarms. However, we had to vacate the unit and go downstairs and stand around for 20-30 minutes while the fire department checked things out. The internet service was adequate for the $25 mandatory fee but it was annoying to have to log back on if it had been idle for a while. The parking garage was a HUGE bonus. I've never stayed at a timeshare anywhere that had one. Even with everything mentioned, we would probably return because the good outweighed the bad.
"Dark and Noisy"
06/09/14 Karen M Baltimore, Maryland
Our room faced the courtyard off the parking garage. Very noisy. Voices and car doors slamming echoed. Our balcony was completely blocked by a tree. Great for privacy but couldn't even see the sky. Our room was like a tomb because we had no way to let in light. The sofa bed was horrible to sit on as a couch. The bar across the front was quite uncomfortable on your legs. Beware of the $25 fee they collect for the convenience of amenities like a parking garage is ridiculous. Unless you are in a downtown location all resorts have parking and I have never been charged a fee for such things. Your parking pass is held hostage by what is "supposed" to be another entity. You have to hear their sales pitch in order to get it. If I am paying for it through the resort and these folks are supposed to be separate and the staff has no control over them why do they control the parking pass? Do they know how stupid that sounds? After we said we were not interested in the tour we were pestered 4 more times. When you are on vacation the last thing you want is someone waking you up to try the same lousy pitch. This pigeon hole sales tactic might work for some but it is very put-offish to me. Save the noise and aggravation and stay at the Vacation Village at Bonaventure on Saddle Club Road instead. I will give a big thank you to Rosa for allowing us to stay past our check out time because of our late flight. That's about all.
"Really nice resort"
06/02/14 InvictaMoto Hythe, United Kingdom
We booked through RCI and were given both an A and B unit as we booked two bedrooms and this is a quirk with this resort. In the end we didn't use the smaller B unit at all. The units are well appointed with plenty of space and equipment in the kitchen. The A unit also has a jacuzzi bath. The room we had at the top of the Vizcaya building overlooking Walgreen's doesn't have an elevator and was a little noisy, not the street but the workmen using the massive skip on the ground floor from about 7.30am. A bit early when you are on holiday. We were also a little disappointed to find that a breakfast billed as a look at a new unit was a timeshare sales pitch.
"comfortable timeshare exchange"
We had an A unit, which was quite spacious, and well equipped. The B units are much smaller. It was very clean, and midweek housekeeping was good, with a generous supply of towels and paper products etc. The pool is larger than average, great for swimming laps. Weston is a bit out of the way, but there is good shopping and dining in the area. Also golf and tennis. We will definitely return.
