I was not aware there is the central heater in the apartment so felt cold in the late evening when it was not turn on. No instruction available to operate the heater either. After I turned it on, it worked well in one bed room and living room but not the bed room my husband and I stayed.

The location and generally speaking, the apartment was OK. However, the biggest problem we had was the speed of the Internet. One of the reasons we chose this apartm. was bec. its Internet svc. I felt like I was back in the 20th century, with dial-up. The Internet was extremely slow and cut in and out a lot, so they may as well have said that there […] is no internet. Our family enjoyed watching the rear view from the balcony. Washed clothes drying on the line, swallows swooping in the center courtyard..Hearing the dogs bark and voices of ordinary Barcelonans.. Recommend for travelers who does not mind to use same towels and sheet for three days. Washer and drier was available but difficult to operate.

The highlight of the experience was meeting Miguel, who was the proprietor of Cafe Mariol. A lovely young man whose family owns the vineyards just south of the area. Very nice 2 BR apartment in a very good neighborhood close to Sagrada Familia. Quite a few nice restaurants as well as stores (including grocery stores) very close by. Check-in was very convenient. Someone was waiting for us when we showed up (had to call from the airport) and everything was quick and painless. The apartment was well equipped with a […] microwave and cooking utensils. Only slight irritation was that the Metro seems to run almost directly underneath so we could hear them at night (until they stopped around midnight) and again first thing in the morning. The cleanliness and location were great for us. The beds and pillows were hard as rocks . I never had a good night sleep and got terrible back pain from it. There was considerable street traffic noise all night. The appliances were difficult to use. Otherwise, the price was right.

Just returned back from staying here and wanted to write a review. Overall , this is a great place to stay, particularly for a family. The apartment was roomy and very comfortable. Lovely balcony and the kitchen was well equipped. The people were polite and very helpful. The neighborhood was quite, safe and very convient. If you are driving there were […] even several parking garages within a few blocks. My only complaint (and it is hardly worth mentioning, but just so that others are prepared) was that there are very few paper products supplied. Only 2 rolls of toilet paper (for a family of 5) and no paper towels or napkins. No clue what to do on arrival. Just a locked door to an apartment building. Operators of the grill across the street let us use a phone to make a contact. The person who arrived 50 minutes later told us we should have known to call when we got to the airport. (How we were supposed to know, I don't know.) We were forced to pay a cash 20 euros on the […] spot for "late arrival" (9pm). We were forced to give credit card info to cover "damage". So, we carefully recorded several broken items. This is a great place to base yourself to explore Barcelona. The apartment is located about three blocks from the Sagrada Familia which has a metro station, taxi stand, and jump on point for the Bus Turistica. The neighborhood is clean, safe and has a number of small produce markets, fish market, Salumi and a wine shop right outside the apartment where […] you can buy wine from the cask! The apartment is clean, effcient and has a clothes washer. The apartment supplied some laundry detergent, but no dishwasher detergent, or paper towels, you can wash dishes in the sink. There were only two rolls of toilet paper and we washed our towels, they didn't change them during the three days we were there, not a big problem. The only kitchen knife is a joke, consider packing one in your checked luggage, or buying one there if you want to cook, although you can easily picnic in the apartment without it. The apartment doesn't have a phone and we could never figure out how the payphones work, our Cell phones didn't either. There is a 24 hour number for assistance but we can't comment on that. We did call before we arrived and again at the airport and were met at the door with the key. Very important do not skip that step! I could not get the free wireless to work. There are small resturants or bars around within walking distance to grab a quick bite, nothing fancy, but you can eat like a local and the sandwiches in Spain are a real treat. It was suppossed to be 4 stars. There were only 1 bathroom for five persons. The size of it was minimun. If you are going by car you will have lot of problems, parking is really a problem. The only place close is The Sagrada familia. The check in is a mess. You have to wait a lot for somebody to open the door. Certainly not what was expected.

We stayed a couple of nights in this appartment and it was perfect for a short holiday in Barcelona. Walking distance from many of the attractions and close to shops and restaurants. The appartment is small but very well equipped - has washing machine, iron, good cooking facilites etc. If you don't mind small I think you would be very happy here.

No problem with hailing a taxi from the street outside apartment to go to airport mid-morning. Got back to our hotel at 10pm on first night to find front door lock had jammed. Called the agent, who said it worked and told us to keep trying and to try harder. We had a young child with us. After 20 minutes of insistence he agreed to come and help, which took a further 40 minutes. He virtually had to smash the lock to get in, and arranged a locksmith […] for the following morning. the Apartments are located a walkable distance from La sagrada Familia Metro station. The apartment was clean and had all the modern convenience you wold expect from cooker to washer dryer and free Wifi. There are shops and restaurants all over the vicinity. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed 4 nights. Easy taxi ride from airport (25 Euros). We called from the airport so the guy was at the apartment when we arrived. He didn't hang around for long, just gave us the keys & left. However, the apartment was roomy enough for 2 people. Only prob's were the washing machine (needed a PHD to work out how to use it), smell of sewerage coming […] from bathroom (only 1 day), and the bathroom sink had very poor drainage. Also there was no touristy info given over. Would have been good to have a map & some suggestions for dinner etc.... Also the internet really only worked in the back bedroom. However, it is in a great locale shops, cafes, ATM's & of course La Segrada. Must say it was a special hoot that every morning we walked 3 mins from the apartment down to the plaza sat in a cafe in front of Gaudi's masterpiece. Overall the apts was good. A nice size for a family of four but It was too far away from the main tourist attractions other than Sangrada Familia. Walking took an hour to La Rambas. We started taking a taxi, but that got expensive. If you have a family with young children, I would recommend moving closer to the tourist areas.
