"Great Stay"
Hello Hacienda Tayutic. Do stay here. You'll be treated to authentic central valley hospitality, great meals, soothing surroundings, gracious views, and proximity to rural and offbeat sightseeing. We particularly enjoyed our side trips to Irazu Volcano and Cartago on the way in from SJO. The hacienda provided an unbelievably great interactive demonstration […] of coffee, sugar, an macadamia artesian production on our second day, which lasted two hours. Following this, I might recommend a day trip to Orosi or Turrialba Volcano. CATIE didn't wow us liked we'd hoped but was quaint. Drives through the surrounding area tend to be strenuous, so minimize if possible. Definitely look into the river rafting which is something we will do on our next trip. I truly cannot recommend this hotel enough and it might be one of the nicest I've stayed at. Read more
