"Great Stay with our Pup"
Hotel was very great for our purpose, and our pup got great treatment. Very busy Easter weekend, but hotel managed well, and nice indoor pool for a night dip with my niece. Easy access and good space for dogs to easily do their business.

"Nice, but..."
Our stay was great! From check-in to check-out...no complaints, except the room lacked one basic, yet vital amenity...a microwave. Unfortunately, we were unable to get a suite, but the concierge was kind enough to send up a roll-away bed for my 6yo. Lol she loved it so much she asked if we could take it home!

"Just what we needed"
We fell in love with Westin in Guatemala City 2008. This was our first time back at a Westin since. We were looking for a special, relaxing weekend away and the Westin Richmond did not disappoint. Our room was impeccably clean, the check in staff was friendly and cheerful and seemed to enjoy their job. The infused water offered in the lobby was a lovely touch as well. Upon on returning to the hotel late Sunday evening we were looking forward to a nightcap at the bar. Even though the bartender was closing up, he did not hesitate to fix us a drink. While some one else may have appeared a bit annoyed or inconvenienced, this gentleman truly seemed pleased to add to the joy of our evening. I do regret not getting his name, but a big THANK YOU to the gentleman closing the bar Sunday night, 'March 30th. We could not have asked for anything more from the Westin and their staff.

"Everything I expected and more!"
I got upgraded to a room with fitness equipment all of which was top notch and I pristine condition. Also all the little extras like free herbal tea and mini smoothies really made me feel pampered! My colleagues who stayed elsewhere for the conference I attended missed out and I'm going to tell them about the westin for next time!

"Over night stay for a family wedding"

"Beyond Pet Friendly"
We really enjoyed the hotel and how consistent the Westin brand was. The room and the hotel were conveniently located to where we needed to be but wasn't in the heart of Richmond. They were extremely dog friendly. We were traveling with our fur-kid and they gave him a treat at check-in, sent up a heavenly dog bed, bowls and even gave us a clip on doggie bag thing. Most hotels that say pet friendly charge extra and want the pet out of the hallways ASAP but this place was pet loving. The staff greeted the dog every time we went for a walk and there was a pet specific floor with lots of other pets. We were traveling on Valentine's day so the restaurant was a bit busy and slow but the food was good. Overall I would stay here again.

"Excellent room. Very pet friendly!"
We wish the pool had been warm enough to enjoy . When we called the front desk (twice) to have a maintenance person come clean the gross garden dirt looking stuff that had collected on top of the swirl of bubbles in the hot tub it took 25 minutes and two phone calls to get someone who came shuffling in. They didn't scoop the dirt of the high pile of swirling dirty foam, which would have made the hot tub enjoyable in seconds...no, they took their time finding the right chemicals to pour on the dirt to make it and the bubbles dissolve into the hot tub. That was enough to make me never want to get into a public hot tub ever again. My 7 year old daughter was extremely grossed out and very disappointed she couldn't go in after waiting 30 minutes for it to be ready. The room was really comfortable and nice and we loved how they bent the rules a little so we could bring our larger dog with us.

Big rooms, clean and well appointed with fabulous shower. A very clean hotel with lots of nice welcoming touches. The front desk staff was very nice, and they were sweet to find us rooms near each other and very flexible on their check out time. Highly recommended.

"Great place to stay when in Richmond"
This hotel is close to perfect, so when you read these criticisms bear in mind that I think its great. What they could do better: put an exhaust fan in bathroom stop charging $3 room service charge plus the automatic gratuity of 18%--we ended up way overtipping consider air purifiers and laminate floors--Hyatt has caught on to the allergy sufferer market and has 'Respire rooms'--Westin's rooms could be better than Hyatt if they'd get rid of the dust in the carpets tell the wait staff to stop being so overbearing--in their quest for good ratings they are downright annoying

"Westin Comfort In A Corporate Office Park"
This great probably could use another update, but the beds and the WIFI were modern, as was the bar and lobby. The bathrooms were a bit dated. The views were all of empty parking lots. The service was very good and the mini bar was nicely priced as was the lobby bar. I did not try the pool or the gym. The price was great.

"How Every Hotel Should be Run"
My son and I stayed there overnight while on our way to visit his great grandparents in Florida. He did not want to continue to Florida as he had such a good time here. The staff were AMAZING with him. They got him to laugh and talk, which is a big deal as he has Aspergers and is not usually comfortable in new places with new people. The entire hotel was spotless, the food and service were amazing, if I have anything negative to say it is that the pool was freezing, but that is so minor. If you are in or around Richmond you MUST STAY HERE!

Comfy and nice and they accommodated my dog. Room service food was good but they forgot to bring some of the food we ordered and then still forgot to bring it after we reminded them and they said they would send it up right away

"Pet Friendly Super Hotel"
We needed to stay in a pet friendly hotel that was half way between our home and our daughter's home. We selected the Westin Richmond because it was halfway and pet friendly. (We have stayed in Westin hotels before but not when traveling with a "senior" pet.) We arrived on a Saturday afternoon for an overnight stay. In the morning, at breakfast, we asked for a special hamburger patty for our "senior" dog. She needed to be medicated to travel. There was not even a blink of an eye. It was delivered in a carry out box with our check. We enjoyed our stay so much, we made reservations for the following Sunday when we would need the halfway stop on our way home. Again, the food, the rooms, the staff were all top grade. And, our "senior" dog received her special burger for her medication. (While walking my dog, I met another traveler with a pet that supposedly was over the weight limit, but the hotel said there was no problem, and they were happily checked in. Where else would this happen?) Thanks to the Westin Richmond for everything. We will definitely return. Mary Sue and Porsche (July, 2013)

"Location, Location!!"
This is not in downtown Richmond, but is right off of the expressway that will get you anywhere in the area quickly. We went downtown Richmond on a Saturday, and there was hardly anything open, we could not find a place to eat for lunch. We were even happier with our location of this hotel. There are many rest. in the area and the food at the Westin was FANTASTIC. The service and comfort of the rooms was outstanding and met all the standards of a 5 star Hotel! We will be back again soon.

"Somewhat disappointed"
Very nice hotel, excellent staff. I suspect there are some management problems as my bathroom was not cleaned spotless from the last guest. Also, I ordered room service which was not delivered missing a portion of my order. I paid top dollar for this hotel and did not get what I expected.

"Nice hotel"
Everything was great except the quality of the room service food . We paid about $40 for breakfast and it was terrible. Rubbery cold toast, watery poached eggs, gross ham. Great service at front desk and bar

"Good spot near Richmond."
Clean, quiet, modern, great bathroom and shower. Staff was friendly and attentive. Location is good, ten minutes from downtown Richmond, and ten minutes from major shopping area in Short Pump.

"Great place to stay for weddings!"
Great place to stay if you are going to a wedding in Richmond. Really close to three chopts! Very friendly, cozy beds and convenient.

"Oasis off of Broad Street"
I had an enjoyable stay. I particularly liked the lobby bar/restaurant. The food was excellent and reasonable, which I think makes for a better overall stay. This is especially great for those "couple" retreats where you really don't need or desire to leave the hotel. I also liked the 24-hour room service option. The room was nice and comfortable. But I have been in Westin(s) that were a little more plush. But still a decent presentation. My only real criticism is that the pool and gym are on the entry level of the hotel. I could only imagine the level of vulnerability -- walking from the hot tub back towards the check-in desk wearing nothing but soggy speedos. They really should given that more thought.

"Best hotel in Richmond"
Free Internet ! Most 4star hotels charge which makes me crazy. I think this is the best place to stay in Richmond ! Excellent value. Dogs allowed
