I requested to be on 1st floor and 2 cribs. I was traveling alone with 1 year old twins. I didn't get 1st floor and only 1 crib. I was inconvenienced by this and annoyed. I explained to gentleman that when called to book room I requested this since extremely necessary.said he didn't get any requests. I explained needed get another crib from car but […] couldn't handle with stroller and kids. He didn't offer to help or send someone to help. We planned to stay here after spending a full day at Kings Dominion which was across the street (but definitely not walking distance). When booking, I had requested adjoining rooms but on check-in we learned that the hotel does not have adjoining rooms. After a bit of convincing, we were finally given rooms next to each other. The hotel had an overall […] outdated appearance which I had read in other reviews; however, the beds were clean and comfortable. The one big drawback that would affect most properties in this area is that there really is a train that runs right behind the hotel. Thankfully, it only went by once during our stay. The girls slept through it, but the moms were up for the day after that. We didn't eat at the continental breakfast, but they did have 2 waffle-makers, so it wasn't all cold food. All in all, if you are dead tired and just need a comfortable bed for the night, this is a good option if the train schedule cooperates. Read more

You can tell management doesn't want to put any more money into this hotel than they have to. Furniture becoming run down, towels threadbare, public areas dirty, and breakfast skimpy. If these conditions continue I would not want to stay here next time I visit Kings Dominion.

The hotel was clean. My only problem was that there are train tracks ridiculously close to the hotel. Right behind it The train ran at 330am, 5am and 630am and 8 am. Making sleeping impossible. Very clean rooms, nice hotel. Great for the price. It's a great location if you're going to King's Dominion, but otherwise not really near anything. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. We would stay here again if we come back to the area.

Check in person was not friendly at all, the parking lot had garbage all through it plus the smell of the hotel ( elevator & lobby ) was not pleasant at all. The pool was very nice and the staff seemed very nice. The cleanliness of the room left a bit to be desired. The bathroom wall appeared to have a spot that looked to be blood on it and there was urine on the outside of the toilet. The room furnishings were nice and the bed felt wonderful. The proximity to King's Dominion was incredible.

While this hotel is in a very convenient location, the cleanliness and level of maintenance given to the premises are quite a detraction. Our bedsheets were stained, the shower curtain had hair from a previous guest, and our door would only lock if slammed shut.

If you are planning to spend the whole day at the theme park is good and I think there's a Denny's where you can get a better breakfast, they just pick up the towels but didn't clean the bathroom, this is my first negative review in all the hotels that I visit and I'm not very picky.

I was very satisfied with the hotel. The staff was more than helpful. It was a beautiful clean hotel. We had just stayed at another Days Inn in New Jersey and had an awful experience. No one was willing to help us and the rooms were far below normal standards. There was use of a washer and dryer that came in handy. It was nice that we were right across […] the street from Kings Dominion. That made it easy to come back to the hotel for a rest or a meal and then go back into park. There wasn't a whole lot of restaurants in the area but just 1 exit back you had everything. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and will defnitely be back next year for our vacation. Some reviews are bad for this hotel, but all in all it was fine. Yes, it has a train out back, but it wasn't as bad as some have implied. Room was clean. Not well kept but convenient...the hotel is right across the street from kings dominion. The floor I was on was non-smoking but it smelled as if someone was smoking in all the rooms. The towels were dirty, there was no iron in the room, and I noticed the muffins were out all day from breakfast. Stains on the floor but cheap and convenient

The bed was so uncomfortable that after being unable to sleep I folded up the comforter and slept on the floor and was able to get a few hours of rest. The mattresses are very firm with springs that poke every way. I do not ever plan on staying in another days inn again due to just how terrible the comfort of the bedding was.
