We stayed at the MO for Valentine's Day. It was a great hotel and trip. Overall, there were just a few glitches - the lights were not working well and neither was the coffee machine. It would be great if a hotel staff could escort clients to the room and show them how things work like they do in Europe. This would add to the ratings.

Once you stay at a Mandarin Oriental, you'll find it hard to go back. Rooms and bathrooms are excellent. Housekeeping service twice a day. In the evening they prepare the bed for sleeping, put down a bath mat on the carpet and slippers. Set the room lights down; empty the trash cans; fill the stainless steel ice bucket; refold the leading edge of the toilet paper into a convenient triangle (really!); replace the towels, glasses, turn on the TV, etc. Lots of electronic controls. Two phones are touch screens with access to dining, housekeeping, front desk. Do not disturb is a light you turn on by the door. Room lights are all something like a Lutron system, accessible from both sides of the bed and the entry. The bathroom lights are also accessible from the bed, but can be set separately dimmed down for a night light. Glass shower, massive tub capable of two average-sized people. Plenty of business supplies, paper, pen, scissors, highlighter, ethernet cable. Room service and food are exceptional. The guy even rotated the TV to face where he setup breakfast. Also a very secure hotel. You cannot even get to floors above the lobby without using your room key card. The hotel restaurant was also first-rate. One of my favorites is Prudential Center self-parking is very near. I find valet parking to be a chore if you plan to use a car a lot. From the 2nd level, exit to the indoor mall, walk toward Lord+Taylor, take the elevator to the garage.

This hotel would get the top rating in all categories - clean, well decorated, efficient staff (mostly) except for one thing. Do they really need to tack on a daily or hourly charge for Wifi on top of their room charge? They are already among the most expensive hotels in Boston - so why the niggling extra - when every Motel 6 and Comfort Inn in the country offers it for free. Seems foolish to me. Otherwise, I would not hesitate to recommend this place.

My only complaint is there was 3 people listed on the reservation and the room was only prepared for 2. Additionally some of the visitors made and or implied that African Americans could not afford such accommodations. I know this is no fault of the Mandarin but my dollars are as green as any

We were caught up in the snow storm of Jan 2014. Thank God we could use the Spa facilities. Great location on Boylston St. If you have a preference for the Spa, book a lifestyle room on the same floor as the Spa facilities.

I love the Mandarin Oriental hotel group, but the one in Boston... let's just say the Décor is still stuck in the Reagan Era. It's outdated. I feel like they need a face lift from Jeff Lewis. Service is immaculate. People here really serve to appease. The food from room service was so-so. I ordered out of convenience so I can't complain so much. No bed bug issues from my stay there. I stayed at the premiere suite and the bay back king room. There isn't much of a huge difference except the sq footage.

I loved the Mandarin Oriental in Boston. However, I would have to say their décor of the rooms aren't so great. It's almost stuck in the Reagan Era. It's very drab, and tasteless. I thought being the luxury hotel it boasts, it would be a bit more modern. I did not spot any bed bugs at the hotel nor woke up from any bites so that made me reassured. The location of the hotel is great for restaurants and shops. I'm from NYC and it doesn't compare, but it's still decent.

After reading all the positive reviews of this hotel we decided to give the Mandarin Oriental Boston a try for our anniversary. We were rather dissapointed with our room, our view or lack of, the 5 star restaurant with its boring breakfast menu and awful service, but most disappointing was upon check out the hotel tried to bill us again for the room that was already paid through Expedia. This might have been an honest mistake, but I am curious if others have experienced this old trick at the Mandarin Oriental. The best part of the hotel was massage I had in the SPA.

Great hotel, amazing service, fantastic location. One nitpick: my suite seemed to have a design flaw. The door to the bedroom/closet/bathroom area, when open, blocked half the opening to the bedroom. For over 1200/ night I wouldn't expect to see such silliness. That was a constant irritant that could be solved by the door swinging the other way. In the grand scheme, it's a minor point, but again, at this price, I expect perfection, or close to it. Everything else was amazing as I said. Great property.

We came here fir a 4 day couple visit to Boston, being the perfect hotel to stay at. Wonderful bed and room, saved for the fact I woke up early as my room was side by side to the gym. This is probably the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. Everyone there is extremely friendly and helpful. Do you need a ride to go somewhere? BOOM, it will be arranged. muy mala experiencia. Habitaciones muy grandes bonitas, pero los alimentos son absolutamente nefastos para esta categoría. Me quede 5 noches en el hotel tenia que pedir alimento en la habitación porque tengo un bebe muy chico y no podía salir con el frío y esas cinco noches fueron de mal en peor. Ensalada cesar con la lechuga completa con agua, la comida del restaurant boulud horrible también con una carne demasiada cocida cuando pedí termino medio y a mas de 35 usd. Cada noche las cuentas eran de 150 a 200 usd de alimento para dos personas y comimos muy my mal: La penúltima noche nos quejamos nos enviaron fresas con chocolate, se aprecia el detalle pero el chef no existe en este restaurant. Por otro lado la atención desde la calle es de mal gusto. El que nos abrió la puerta parece ex marine con una actitud muy mala. El bebe estaba en el taxi abrió la puerta vio que el bebe estaba ahí no cerro la puerta la dejo abierta y se fue con menos 5 grados fuera. Abre la puerta cuando quiere y cuando no quiere tiene una actitud de cero servicio. En resumen las habitaciones están bien pero no regresaría por el servicio y los alimentos. Un hotel que se quiere muy top y no le llega a las estrellas que recibe. No le doy ni 3.5 en estrellas. Mala experiencia no vayan

ボストンでは毎回違うホテルを宿泊し比較している。他のホテルから早朝に移ったにも関わらず、9:00amにはお部屋を用意してくれた。初めてアメニティがShanghai Tangのホテルに出会った。お昼からはSPAに篭りジェットバス、サウナ、スウェディッシュマッサージでリラックス、この間もスタッフの心配りがtoo muchになり過ぎない範囲で感じられ流石だと思わせた。唯一つ、ルームサービスで頼んだ朝食の中華粥がリゾット状態だったのにはガッカリしたが、全ての面で抜きん出て良かった。

フロントの対応も親近感がありとても心地よかったです。 また、ルームサービスも注文してからすぐに届きました。 また、ドライヤーの変圧器や、ハンガー、バスローブなどもすぐに持ってきていただけました。 お部屋も広くて、家族4人1部屋で宿泊しましたが、全然窮屈感がありませんでした。 ただ、ダブルベットが意外と小さかったので、エキストラベットをお願いしましたが、それでもお部屋に広い空間がありました。 バーでは、オリジナルのポップコーンがついてくるのですが、これが最高に美味しい!!

立地はボイルストン通りに面し、プルデンシャルセンターの隣で、便利の良い立地です。 やはりマンダリンだけあって、ドアマンも気持ちが良く素敵でした。 ロビーや、フロントも高級感があり、フロントの対応も笑顔が素敵です。 客室は8階までで、その上層階はレジデンスになっているようです。 宿泊したのは6階の角部屋でした。清潔感、高級感ともに最高のホテルでした。 建物は新しくはありませんが、手入れの行き届いたいいホテルです。
