A really cute place with Metro stop right out the front door. Great view of the oldest train station in Paris from our window (Gare de L'est). Mono P shopping on next block as well as many restaurants in area. If you are coming or going to Gare de L'Est or Gare du Nord - this is the place to stay. They charge for Wifi in the lobby and for 'wired internet' in your room - very annoying. They never refreshed the coffee or bathroom items - so no coffee or shampoo second day... Great location however and nice room.

We stayed in an 'executive room' which had one room with a king bed and another with a sofa bed. Perfect for two adults and two kids. Rooms seemed to be recently remodeled. The location is in a dodgy area, taking a five minute walk to find dinner nearby, we felt really unsafe and had to go back to the hotel. Pro: Great location. 50 meters from Paris East Rail Station, hop on hop off Bus. Very good for 1st timer in Paris. Many stores close by. Con: we booked a 4-person suite. it suppose to have two big beds and two rooms. But what we got is a small suite, which a sofa is turned into a bed. The sofa bed is uncomfortale and we have no place to sit.

Internet was not free. 5 Euros for 1 hour. ( pricey) In room internet was wired and not wireless. My husband, daughter, and I arrived in Paris via the ICE train, and the location of this hotel couldn't have been more convenient. It is very literally right across the street from the train/metro station. We had complete access to the entire city from this location, which was fabulous! I worried a bit about noise, due to the location, but none of the three of us had any trouble falling/staying asleep at night. The only (very minor) complaint I had was that the air freshener in our room was quite strong. We kept the window open as much as possible to air it out, though, and it helped quite a bit. Granted, Parisians are often judged as a bit snobbish to American Travelers, but the receptionists in the evening were great judges of Cuisine, and not just Haute Cuisine, but good value and good food for the price. In addition, they were very helpful when I lost my wallet and I needed to contact Visa in Paris ( a 5 minute call) and American Express […] ( not so quickly and not near as convienient for a replacement card). The location has a Metro stop directly outside the front lobby and a train station is just across the street, so getting around Paris using the subways was very easy. The hotel staff provided both walking directions and subway directions so we easily found our way to the Louvre, the Eiffel tower and the West bank. There is a 24 hour grocery store nearby for purchasing snacks, pre-wrapped and fresh sandwiches, juices and other great stuff. Don't miss the strawberries...sweet as sugar! I loved the rooms view of Parisian street life from our "balcony", as the windows open wide so you can really experience the Parisian way of doing things. The hotel provided internet access, and was responsive to our "quirky" requirements of a couple of Americans looking to experience the life of ordinary Frenchmen. Lydia and her receptionist team were unbelieveable, even when we got off to a bit of a rocky start. I must admit, I can be a bit of a curmudgeon, but we resolved all of issues and were buddies by the time we left. It is a definite "we'll be back"! Read more

When I booked the hotel through the link from Hotels Fairy the description and picture list included a fitness facility, which is the sole reason I chose to book. Upon arrival I discovered this in fact was not true which led to my great disappointment. Apart from this the hotel was very conveniently located and clean.
