Good location hotel. Staffing very helpful. The General Manger helped us with the luggages and very friendly and helpful with information. The bathroom is very spacious, unlike some dinky shower bath room. The family room had 4 single beds and still feel comfortable. My wife think they could spice things up with modern bedding. We stayed for one night: Other than the beds being a little uncomfortable, this hotel was awesome! They were very friendly and helpful. The staff was super nice and helped us carry our bags to our room, got my husband a tray of coffee and also gave my son a plaster (aka band-aid) when he got a paper cut. It was easy to find and in such a cute & charming […] town, it was close to shops, and places to eat. We got a wonderful fish & chips at the Kebab place in town and the next day we ate at the cute restaurant at the Grand hotel. We were within walking distance to the English Channel and had a small view of the coast from our hotel window. The hotel wasn't super new and modern, but it was still very nice and lovely. All off the towns people we met were so friendly and nice, this was one of my favorite places on our trip and it was nice that we didn't have probelms with our hotel that interferred with our trip. Overnighted before taking Channel train. Early Chunnel appointment precluded partaking of breakfast. Room was small but comfortably appontment with a large bath with tub.

Stayed for a weekend whilst visiting family. It's an old and quite elegant building, and was very competitively priced. Didn't actually spend much time inside the hotel as we were out most of the day and evenings, but we were very pleased with the room and facilties. Bed was large and comfy, and room was large with nice sea views. Breakfast was a well-stocked […] buffet, and outshone the two major chain hotels we also used on the trip. I'm a Brit living in US, and would say the bacon was the best I'd had in ages - would return for that alone!! Room and bathroom were well cleaned and functional, and all staff were pleasant and helpful. A few little quirks - the elevator is a little slow, and there was a little noise from a family/wedding party/reception there on the Saturday, but these things were certainly not enough to prevent a very positive overall opinion. I thought it was great value and will definitely use it again when we next visit Folkestone. Read more

A very nice old style hotel, excellent price (via internet not direct) and very comfortable. Family room was great for anyone with a small child and the hotel is a very short walk form the sea front and the town center. There's a great Italian in the high street but you might need to book! Small Boutique hotel with lots of English charm. The room was larger than what we've come to expect in Europe and was very convenient to Dover for our Cruise departure--Taxi to Port was about 17 pounds, and beautiful over the cliffs. We chose to stay at the Burlington again, as we had greatly enjoyed our stay last year, and we were not disappointed. Despite the fact that a wedding was taking place on the premises our room was quiet and comfortable, and we slept very well prior to our international flight from Heathrow the next day. We had invited relatives to join us for dinner, […] and were concerned that the wedding party would make this difficult. However, we were the only guests in the Bay Tree restaurant, and were served most attentively by the charming Portuguese maitre d' and his team. The meal was excellent, and made for a happy conclusion to our family visit to England. The only hitch was a lift malfunction which could not be rectified until the next business day, but even that did not present too much of a problem. Room only, great value and location for Chunnel. Rooms have been renovated and free wifi is great. Although parking is limited there is plenty of parking on same road as hotel. Great views as on seafront. Lovely building. Single bed a little hard but have never had any complaints about doubles

We booked this hotel for one night as we were catching an early ferry next morning. We arrived late evening and the place was very quiet. A full menu or bar snack was available. The hotel offers free Wifi but there was no signal (on my laptop/phone/tablet) in my room, if I went down a floor I could get connected. The room was clear yet small and was a little dated. Staff were friendly but there was a wait to eat in the retaurant due to a big tourist party.

We were delighted with our stay at the Burlington. It was conveniently situated, in a pleasant part of the town, very near the seafront. The hotel seems a little in need of sprucing up, but was comfortable and friendly. The general sense we had was of a stately old aunt, who was just a little down at heel. The staff were excellent. Efficient and friendly, […] without being obsequious. Service and food in the restaurant was superb,both a at dinner and breakfast. It is such a delight to have a full English breakfast cooked to order, not standing in a bain marie. Tired,but with character. lift would not go above 2nd floor. Rooms clean but basic. Staff friedly and helpful. Car parking first come first served and awkward parking due to lack of manoeuvering room. Well placed for those wishing to use Euro tunnel, approx 15 mins away. Would use again.

Although the decor is a bit tired the rooms are spotless and bright and cheery. The hotel has parking and there is also plenty of street parking. It is only metres to the beach and to parks but still quiet. Only real problem was the intermittent and weak internet connection which makes it impossible for business. The service is a bit disinterested.

A few days in Folkestone staying at The Burlington was an absolute breath of fresh air - literally! The hotel was located perfectly, it was quite beautiful architecturally, staff were helpful and efficient, it was clean and comfortable. We would most certainly stay there again!

We selected this hotel as a convenient stopover en route to the Dover ferry. It is well located and the cost road to Dover avoids the tunnel if there is a holdup. The hotel was what we expected: clean and tidy, clean bathroom with plenty of hot water, but no soap in the shower dispenser. We were very impressed with this hotel, we were travelling by tunnel early in the morning and the hotel was well placed for the tunnel, only about 10mins away. We were a family of 4 with 2 teenage boys and the room was lovely and spacious and clean.
