Everything was nice! The lobby area is a little sad-looking, guess its just really small (plus no breakfast)--- but there's free fruit and drinks! More importantly the rooms are in good shape. The pool at this time of year is closed. My husband was upset that the management would not allow him to use a lounge chair in the sun. The air conditioning at this time of year is also not in use and the temp of the room can't be adjusted. I found a dead roach on the floor beside my bed. I then took a more closer view of the bed. The box springs are […] not in plastic. The area under the bed was dirty. The sheets had a crumbled look which made me wonder if they were really clean. The armed chair in the room had major dirt in the crevice of the seat. We also found that there is a difference between an Oceanfront room that we had requested and an OceanView room that we were given. it was awesome perfect beach stay on the boardwalk with a great view with the ocean being right there. The staff is very nice and helpful and the rooms having a balcony and somethings to do in the hotel area alone makes for wonderful experience.

After reading some of the reviews I was very hesitant to stay there, but when we got there I found the service exceptional, the room very clean and maid service everyday. The hotel was clean and offered alot of amenities the higher priced ones didn't. I will certainly stay there again.

Your hotel is dark in the hallways. It is leveled up 2 steps then down 1 - the "central air" in the hall works better than the room units. We had to get a box fan to help cool the room. The rain came through your roof where the fire detection over the exit door of the room. The balcony boards are rotten & the furniture is dirty. There are 2 double […] beds which is horrible for couples. At least get queen size mattresses. The bar on the side of the pool was filthy too and whoever runs it allows free drinks to their friends. The parking was a joke. At least 7 cars had no parking pass on their dash. The gym is a joke. The equipment is from the 70's. We had to buy memberships at World Gym for $40 which we should have just used on a better hotel. The elevator was way too small. It was a very decent hotel for the price. I wish the water pressure and the shower head could get an upgrade. It was hard to get the sand off. Also, it's impossible to make the room any cooler. The air conditioning could use an upgrade as well. The staff was great and gave us really useful tips.

We had a vewry nice stay at the Flagship. Other then the fact that the double beds were too small for what we are used too, it was a nice room with good access to the beach and boardwalk. The upstairs neighbors were a bit noisy late into the evening but nothing a sneaker to the cieling didn't fix! :) We would stay there again!

Sheets looked like they were all wrinkled and old! Not sure if they were used before! Get to the room was awful and only has 1 elevator! Between Mattress and bow spring, crumbs of all type! Will never stay there again ever!

The location was great and that's basically what you're paying for. There wasn't much parking adjacent to the hotel, but there was a lot about half a block away that we used. The hotel room was ok, but the walls were very thin. The hot water in the shower didn't last very long, but the hotel staff was friendly.

Overall I was satisfied. There's steps on one side of the hotel so be careful bringing up your bags. The bathroom was outdated but thats the only complaint I have. Very convenient, right on the boardwalk. Already made plans to come back to O.C. and stay here!

This was my grandson's first trip to the ocean and first stay in a hotel. As a 7-yr. old with Asperger's, I found the hotel to be particularly good for him. There were not a lot of distractions arond the hotel and there were plenty of things to keep him occupied when he wasn't at the beach.

The room looks nothing like the photos. The hotel has very nice people working in their facility, but it is a little run down and smells of fish (Jonah and the Whale resteraunt below many rooms). However, they did have entertainment a few days and still had an indoor and outdoor pool.

A very old hotle that needs a lot of renovation. As soon as we arrived, the AC needed a repairman, the hallways and doors can barely fit the luggage carts. The decor and bathrooms look like they are from the early 70's and funtion the same. DO not eat at the attached buffet, "Johna & the Whale" what an expensive rip-off.... the worst!

This was one of the worst hotels I been to in a long time. The room was not properly cleaned and smelled of mold or meldow inside the room. Though it was in walking distance to the beach, the room purchased did not face the ocean it faced the courtyard. So much for a romantic getaway!!! I would prefer not to stay here again.
