Ibis Samui Bophut - Ko Samui

The hotel is great, the pool & beach are excellent. The staff is nice & pleasant. They can do a better job in the cleaning of the rooms. Not too many dining options outside the hotel but the few options are good.

We first spent 3 nights at the Ibis Nana in Bangkok which we enjoyed greatly, then booked an incredible deal for 2 nights here at the Ibis Samui Bophut. We were blown away by the beautiful beachside setting, and the gorgeous open air lobby! Our room was large enough for the 2 of us with a giant king sized bed! The staff was helpful at pointing things out on a map to us. We highly recommend the nearby fisherman's village for food and shopping. I was expecting a gnarly old dirty fishing village, but was pleasantly surprised with a cosmopolitan "avenue" of high class (though not too expensive) restaurant choices, and no pressure shopping at the booths. The hotel was quite nice, the hotel rooms are a little small (think dorm room) and the hotel seemed to be more family oriented during my days there, ie: lots of kids by the pool. Good location, about 15 minutes from Chaweng Beach. My only complaint (and this seemed to be common everywhere I stayed Thailand) the beds are all pretty hard to sleep on.

Ibis certainly tops in terms of value it provides for the money it charges. The location at Boput beach in Koh Samui is slightly away from the heart of action around Chaweng Beach and Lamai Beach. Rooms are Small, but well maintained. Reception staff are courteous and good. Restaurant staff are unhelpful, and find it difficult to communicate in English. We were told to "collect the food ourselves" when we tried to order room service. Free Wifi is very good and easy to setup and manage. I was really impressed with this hotel. Fantastic value for money. Much better than I was expecting. The rooms are quite small, but are clean and have everything you need. The pool area is beautiul, is actullay 3 small pools right by the beach and beach bar. Lots of deck chairs to use. The buffet breakfast was the cheapest in any of the hotels I stayed […] at and probably the best. All the hotel food and drinks are very resonable and not inflated like other hotels. There is a mini mart across the road and travel booking/ bike hire as well. The only negative would be the travel desk at the front, very unhelpful and expensive taxi prices. Read more

We got a deal on a 6 night stay. So when i consider this i have to say that mostly this hotel is pretty ok. It isn't luxurious, and the family rooms are just adequate. Hotel facitlities are good except for laundry, the cost to have just 6 T-Shirts washed would have been amost £10 ($15 USD).. OUCH! But we found a local laundry outside at a fraction of […] the price. And finally the hotel oddly only allows you free usage of the internet in reception for 15 minutes. In late at night when no other guests are around, still limited. Sure the wifi in your room is free for much longer, but on im holiday and i dont take my laptop on holiday. Having said that, this budget hotel does stack up in other areas; nice pool areas, good food and breakfast buffet. Plently of pool towels in addition to room towels. Nice beach area for the kids. With Ibis you know what you get, clean rooms, good services, that is why I decided to stay in Ibis on our first days in Ko Samui. Location was good, close to the airport, but there is no noice from the airplanes. Right on the beach, which was long and clean, nice swimming pools. Магазин прямо напротив отеля. Дно моря не илистое, как где-то писали, а песчаное. Минус один - рядом нет мест, где можно купить фрукты - приходилось ездить на рынок. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand von Bophut, welcher meiner Meinung nach nicht unbedingt der schönste Strand ist aber ok. Die Anlage des Hotels ist schön gestaltet allerdings sind die Zimmer doch etwas klein (besonders auch das Bad). Die Zimmer waren nicht perfekt sauber aber auch nicht dreckig. Der Service an der Hotelbar lies ein wenig zu wünschen […] übrig (man musste manchmal doch etwas länger warten bis man bemerkt wurde) ansonsten war das Personal aber sehr freundlich. Super Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Gute und ruhige Lage. Nahe zum Fisherman Village mit den besten Restaurants der Insel. Sicher empfehlenswert für kürzere Aufenthalte und als Alleinreisender, da die Zimmer ziemlich klein sind.
