We found the Holiday Inn Express to be convenient to the Airport in Malaga. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel was clean and well designed. We enjoyed the breakfast provided with our room and felt that the price was reasonable. The free parking was also a plus.

The hotel itself is just fine, as a basic and comfortable airport hotel handy for flying in or out of Malaga, but there is nothing worthwhile in walking distance. Car and plane traffic can be noisy, as was the barking dog next door the night I stayed. There is no airport shuttle. Even though it is only ~1 km to the airport, a taxi costs 15-20 Euros […] each way. There is a bus ("A", not #19 as indicated on some web sites) for 3 Euro, that drops one off on the far side of a busy highway, but it does not go early enough for early AM flights. If you have sufficient time, get a hotel in Malaga itself, it will be far, far more interesting. Read more

Good hotel near the airport. We asked for non-smoking but when we got to our room it had obviously been used by a smoker. The hotel staff immediately moved us to another room which was much better with no smell of smoking. Only downside was the location - VERY difficult to find from the airport - even with a nav system! It was nice to stay next to airport because we had a very early flight. We didn't get any breakfast because of the early flight, but we paid for it. It should be taking care of. We took a taxi from the hotel and visited Malaga. It was around 20 euro one way trip

This is a good place to crash for a night before or after a long flight: the rooms are clean, and it's close to the airport. The only drawback is that it is not easy to reach by public transit from town -- takes some time on a bus. Airport is a short taxi ride away, cost us about 16 euros. Also, wifi is not free.

It is close to airport. We arrived late and didn't want to chance missing last bus to hotel so we took a taxi. It cost 20 euros! Hotel is located out of the way from mainstream city center. Only way to get to hotel is via taxi, or by local bus system. Has convenient in-house hotel breakfast and restaurant facility, so no need to venture out to eat, where the menu is reasonably priced. No other nearby attractions.

Location is a bit far from the city, since we had a car it was not a problem abd also the free parking was a bonus. The turn in to the hotel is a little tricky from the road. Breakfast was pleasant. Not a 5 star menu, but had some variety. The hair dryer in the room did not work and it was fixed within a few minutes. Service was good.

This property is hard to find, but is literally two minutes from the Malaga airport and is perfect for morning flights. I stayed here in order to WALK to Malaga airport at the crack of dawn... but it's dangerous to walk along the freeway and I ended up taking a cab. Cabs from the center of Malaga to the airport are 20 Euro, so I wish I had just done that. This hotel is nice, though, just a place to sleep before flying.

Having a flight at 7:00 AM, we booked this hotel primarily because of its proximity to Malaga Airport. Alas, it took us over an hour of total frustration to find it and that was by accident as well! One restaurant was within walking distance otherwise a long drive is required with little guarantee of finding the hotel again! The room was crammed, extremely […] hot, and efforts to cool it down by lowering the thermostat failed when we noticed additional heat was being pumped in. It turned out that the unit is for heating purposes only. No AC. No sink or bath tub plugs either until requested ! No Internet unless purchased (expensively) by the hour or day. A complicated TV set that displayed a menu after every channel change! The bed side lights did not work (despite a change of bulbs!) We rented a car from the airport and had a GPS. Hotel is just 2 minutes away and has plenty of free parking. Breakfast was nice. Internet was not free. No restaurants within walking distance.

Hotel is in the middle of an industrial area on a major road very close to the airport. The sound proofing is excellent and the hotel is very clean. A small idea for dinner is to go downtown Malaga use the bus for 1.20 euros the bus drops you back outside the hotel and so much easier than trying to drive and park. I picked this hotel to try to be close to the Malaga airport. Well, it is, but... There is no shuttle service, and a taxi will cost a whopping 15 Euros PLUS what's on the meter. The local bus (#19) is much cheaper, but requires exact change. Difficult to access even with a GPS due to omnipresent construction and one way streets. Off the beaten track but on route to airport which is literally ten minutes away with great access to taxis. We choose hotel because of convenience to Malaga airport, yes it was indeed - right round the corner. It was late when we arrived and we had a drink. It was too late for food, but there was a machine selling crips, chocolate and a couple of sandwiches. Trouble is, the small 'choice' of sandwiches were meat; which we do not eat.
