"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.
"Nice hotel in the theatre district"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012

Wall Street comes to life before dawn as traders rush to Lower Manhattan to make and break deals. But finance is just one aspect of Lower Manhattan, where colonial churches stand next to skyscrapers. Within the district, rebuilding continues at Ground Zero. At Battery Park, ferries depart for Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, America’s beacon of freedom.

Hotel was on the smaller side from our various experiences of NYC hotels. The bathroom door was designed JUST enough so that it cleared the toilet so you could close the door, but that left you with only a small space between the sink and toilet to stand in unless you climbed on top of the toilet. Hallways are narrow, so if you are claustrophobic, this […] may not be the best choice for you. We only stayed for one night, so it had the basics that we needed, but for the price we paid, there are much better options. Compared to some of our other nyc hotel experiences, this cost was not reflective of what you get. Read more
Easy access to a subway station. Two stops away from the china town canal and little Italy. Walking distance to world trade center. Hotel staff gave us lots of extra blankets when I asked for them-- disappointed that they could not give me double beds when I requested them and that the room was cramped and smelled weird. Clean bed and bathroom but I'll […] be looking for another place if I have to stay more than one night in the future Read more
"Two nitpicks"
Nice prints on walls, nice bathroom, but the room was very small. I expected that, but the furniture should be rearranged so it's not so hard to get between bed and desk chair. Also, the outside of the window was dirty, so I left the shade down.
"Holiday Inn Wall Street"
Hotel located in a corner surrounded by much taller buildings, so dark shadows instead of sunshine is what you see when you walk out the front lobby. The rooms were so small, difficult for two people to walk around at the same time. Bathroom so small, when opening the bathroom door, the edge of the door barely clears the edge of the toilet bowel. The […] carpets are stained and a slight odor was detected. We arrived at around 10PM in the evening only to be met with piles of garbage bags blocking the front entrance; shouldn't be the place to store garbage for trash pickup. I was so dissapointed that I check out after spending only one of three planned nights there. Mnager, Lori, refused to give a refund because we didn't complain before we checked out early even though my wife lodged a formal complaint after hearing of this lame excuse to refuse our request for a refund. The fact that we were very dissatisfied with the Hotel, it's location, it's rooms, AND we had unused days after checking out early would lead one to believe that any legitimate business would gladly issue a refund because the customer was not satisfied and gave the reasons for their dissatisfaction. However this Hotel chose to cower behind a technicality to refuse our request for a refund. Only words come to mind are cheap and low class. Very Dissapointed. Read more
"simple and convenient"
If you need more than a place to sleep, perhaps not the right choice, but to sleep and shower...great location

First time to New York. First of all the hotel was very old. Watch out for those nice pictures posted online. I recommed to view and inspect before you book only if you can afford to do so. The staff seemed friendly at first but when they seen we had problems with our reservation they kinda started getting unfriendly.its always best to treat people […] with respect because you never know who that person is or know. We tried checking in early. They got us a room early. It was not the room hotel.com booked me for. We contacted them and they contacted the hotel directly. We spoke to the hotel and they were like ok what you want us to do. They said we have a roll out. If you want a double bed you have to pay the full price. Only if they knew why I was in town. I could have paid for 10 rooms. The manager became unfriendly stating ok can we get your phone number and we will give you a call when the room is ready. That was a sorta get out the lobby. They never called us back to inform us the room was ready. I would never recommend this hotel to know one. Read more
This was the first hotel I have been in over several decades that HAD NO SHOWER CURTAIN! I had to take a shower quickly and that resulted in a big puddle. I went down to the front desk on my way out and told them what had happened. When I returned later that night I found the towels I had thrown down to absorb some of the water still in the same place […] although somebody had put up a curtain in the meantime. When I took a shower the following morning, same puddle again; the curtain was too short!. Would I recommend it? What is your guess? LD Syracuse, NY Read more
"Holiday Inn - Wall Street"
Our first stay in Lower Manhattan and we were thrilled with how close it was to major sites. Wall Street, the World Trade Center site, Little Italy/Chinatown, etc. It was great. We were close enough that with a pair of tennis shoes, we walked basically from the bottom of the island to Soho. Brooklyn is reachable by foot as well. It was outstanding and […] I recommend it to anyone interested in spending time in the downtown/lower Mahattan area. Read more

"Basic hotel"
This is a no-frills place. Just a room to rest your body at the end of the day. It is what you get for the price. Couple of pizza places nearby for food and easy walking distance to anything in the Financial District. I wouldn't stay here for any more than one, or at most, two nights
"Holiday Inn, Wall Street"
I was in town for seminars on Wall Street and found this hotel to have a fantastic location, easy walking distance to my meetings, very friendly front office staff, Michael .. great job, clean room, quiet area, room was a little small but I wasn't in it much. easy access to subway on Fulton Street, restaurants in hotel and many more close by.
"Giants TIcker Tape Parade Night"
If you are contemplating going to a ticker tape parade down the Canyon of Champions, I highly recommend this location. The hotel is pretty standard and the staff was not so great, but the room was clean and quiet and the location to the parade route was very convenient.
"Great Location for the Giants Superbowl Parade"
The hotel was exactly where we wanted to be for the NY Giants Superbowl Parade. We went in the night before the parade. We were able to get a late checkout which was perfect. The surrounding area had a lot of things to offer plus alot of quick food places for when you want something quick.
"good place"
Very clean and convenient place to stay in financial district
"Perfect getaway"

"They changed my reservations"
When I arrived at the hotel, they changed me from a double bed room to a king size, the problem, they did not have any other rooms, and a business associate and me had to share the bed.
"Really good hotel"
Very good service, very good locations, surrounded by very good food!

"Excellent location, clean, and quiet."
Very short walking distance from City Hall to Statue ferry, and green, red, and blue subway lines.
"Great location. Excellent Service. Would recommend"
My family stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Location and service was excellent. Would recommend to anyone. Would stay again.

"Great location"
If you want to be in lower Manhattan or have to be near Wall Street for work, this is a great little hotel. Very small, but the rooms are super clean (cleaner than most 3-4 star hotels I've stayed at in Manhattan). It also has a small bar and restaurant, which is convenient for business travelers. Located just blocks from the World Trade Center, 3 blocks […] from Century 21 shopping, and 3 blocks from the subway stop. Read more

Convenient location - walking distant to World Trade Center memorial, and to the subway. The rooms were nice, clean, but small. Would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

"Smallville"
This hotel is great if one seaks Ground Zero, but the rooms are quite small and the angles of things don't match; making it seem smaller.
"Small, staff stinks, but good location"
This hotel is tiny! and the room is small. If you want to be in Wall Street area it is great but just know it is small and no convieniences. The staff is very average.
"Good location"
This hotel is located 1 minute walk from my daughter's dorm building. But, the room that we booked few weeks ago and paid for was not ready when we arrived. Instead, we were offered a different room ( 1 bed only instead of 2 beds ). Our compensation was a free breakfast for one , not for my wife and me ! I will recommend this hotel for its location […] only. Read more

"Overpriced stay at Holiday Inn"
First of all I was quote a different price than I was charged. First day they put me in handicapped room (no bureaus for clothes) and second night the toilet didnt work. Had to manually flush by going into tank. Location was convenient only bec my son lives near by. Way overpriced.
"Would stay here again."
The staff of this hotel were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel and our room was clean and well maintained. We had some issues with the hotel internet twice during our one week stay, and while comfy, the room was a bit small for our family of four with two double beds (it's New York after all). There was quite a bit of city construction going […] on during our stay, but the hotel is in a great location for getting to Battery Park (for Statue of Liberty sightseers), and is right in the heart of the financial district. Close to sights, the subway, food, and shops. Easy access to cabs as well. We would stay here again, the staff and cleanliness make all the difference! Read more
Convenient downtown location for what we wanted to do. Small, but very clean. Front desk staff were pleasant & helpful. Room was more than adequate. Only complaint was the heavy & noisy bathroom door. Definitely would stay there again.
"Good hotel at great location"
The staff was helpful and the room was clean. We stayed 3 people in one room, it was small but it worked. They need to fix the coverage of their wifi on the 3rd floor where we stayed, but in the lobby it worked great. The location is perfect, close to all subways with the posibility to reach anywhere in NY fast.
"SMALL... HOLLIDAY INN WALL STREET"
This hotel has the smallest rooms, the smallest hallways and the smallest lobby of any hotel I have seen. Some issues with housekeeping... however, once brought to the attention of hotel and housekeeping management, the matter was fully and satisfactorily resolved. Management and staff work well with what they have...

"Clean and narrow"
Very clean and conveniently located to everything NY, but wow, it was narrow and tight. One could only stay in bed or use the bathroom because there wasn't much space to move around in.

"Comfortable Hotel"
This hotel is great for seeing Wall Street, the WTC sites, and is reasonably located near subway stations for easy access Uptown.

The hotel was fine, but upon arrivale my group (four adults total) learned that booking through a third party such as hotels.com means your reservation (for us, a room with two double beds) is only "recommended", not guaranteed (I'm not positive I believe this, but it is what they said). Our room only had one bed! And we had to fight to get our reservation […] adjusted (to two rooms with one bed each for the first night, and then moving to a double room for the second night....not convenient). While it worked out fine in the end, it would have been nice to just have what we had thought we reserved upon our arrival. Read more

"Holiday Inn New York City - Wall Street"
nice place to stay...close to Ground Zero and the federal reserve building...right off Broadway Street so that you can walk out of your hotel and onto a main street...Tiffany on the front desk was very helpful and friendly. They have a restaurant on the main floor its a 15 dollar cab ride to times square ... I will go back again to New York and I won't […] hesitate to stay at this place again. Read more
