We were expecting something closer to the Massanutten Resort, but that was my fault not paying attention. The hotel was very orderly and clean. The guy who checked us in lacked personality and seemed like he would rather be anywhere else. Options for vegetarian food were limited, we did find a nice mexican restaurant though. Overall, we had a nice, quiet, relaxing stay.

Great! Comfortable, attractive, clean. Hotel hosts were very accommodating. If arriving after 6 PM, call ahead to get info about how to get into your room. There is an after hours number to call, but it is likely easier on all for late arrivals to make the call before 6.

Stayed one night when my son had music audition at JMU. Convenient to university and right off 81. Seemed nicer than 2 stars. Only beef - card keys to room didn't work very well. Would definitely stay again.

Mountainside Villas at Massanutten by Kees Vacations is a Virginian resort in the heart of beautiful Shenandoah Valley where you will enjoy vacation living at its finest. This spacious two-story resort condominiums sit atop Massanutten Mountain on the site of the popular Massanutten Resort. Experience breathtaking mountain views in close proximity to golfing, skiing, and many other attractions all while relaxing amidst the comforts of home. Each two-bedroom townhouse-style condominium boasts a full kitchen, fireplace, sauna and Jacuzzi tub, upper and lower decks, and eight-person occupancy. Wi-Fi Internet is available. Front desk hours are 8am- 6pm Monday-Thursday and 7am- 11pm Friday-Saturday.

This Villa was actually a condo. It was very comfortable. There was a sauna and whirlpool tub on the main level. The kitchen was very clean and well... stocked with disposable things like trash bags, soap, tissue, etc The kitchen had a small indoor grill made into the countertop. The dining area had a table that sit 8 people. There was plenty room. This condo would easily accommodate 8 people without them feeling crowded. The upstairs was comfortable also, it had 2 bedrooms, a full bath, and a loft with a pull out sofa-bed. There was wireless capability and it worked very well. The electric fireplace worked well and was very beautiful. There was a deck on the main level and a balcony upstairs off the loft. Both were very nice and had chairs and a table, if you wanted to sit outside. I was confused by the television. The upstairs TV and the downstairs TV did not seem to be hooked up to the same cable network or satellite (whichever they used). Only one of the bedrooms upstairs had a TV. I think there should have been a TV in both bedrooms. The only thing I did not like was the fact that the whirlpool tub had someone else's hair in it. I know that hair can get caught in the jets but it should have been cleaned a little bit better. by Angela J from Virginia on 03/10/11

Great location to enjoy the winter in a more moderate climate. The area of the country is perfect with a lot of activities to enjoy. The kids wtnt snow tubing and had a great time.
