Clean room, friendly staff, cheap, and they have two outdoor hot-tubs, perfect after a hard day of skiing. only thing to make them a five would be a free breakfast other than that, they rock!

This hotel was clean and any minor service issues we were attented to immediately. The only real complaint is that the bathroom was quite small. Beds were comfortable and room was nice and warm.

Spacious room, great views from room, balcony, and restaurant/lounge. Staff always friendly, courteous and helpful. Excellent food in restaurant. All in all, one of my most satisfacory hotel experiences in many years.

Fortunately we were only staying one night. This was a basic motel which was very overpriced. Both hot tubs were not at all in working condition (with pipes not hooked up etc.) Carpeting looked very old and dirty. The basic facilities of the room were clean, but old. I thought paying what one would normally pay at a five-star hotel would get me at least a decent night sleep. Wrong! This is not a well-kept, well managed hotel. I was given a room without a working heater, when outside it is 40 degrees! Room was not properly cleaned, and had a horrible stench (the sort that would warrant a roto-rooter asap!). overall ok. but too closed to the train track.. walking distance to Jasper downtown is good.. insulation poor, could hear the poor dog barked next door early in the morning .. and people walking in the hallway very early in the morning as well.. hot tub very nice.

Great crash pad for a visit to Jasper! Rooms clean and plenty of towels and hair dryer, plus coffee maker. WiFi worked well. Located a quick walk to 'downtown'. Parking on street if you arrive late, but no real issues. Hot tubs a chilly walk through lobby, but nice to chill/heat in. Rooms not very soundproof, but managed some very sound sleeps. The hotel is conveniently located - food is good but we lost 2 nights of sleep as security did not shut down any of the partying going on in the courtyard from 2:30 - 5 am...it only took till the sherriff came on day 2 to send them inside, which was right below our room...thanks for waking our 3 year old

The Amethyst Lodge isn't the nicest place in Jasper but it is usually the cheapest, so you get what you pay for. Room was clean, beds are ok. On par with other cheap hotels in Jasper but it is closer to the main downtown area and is usually $10-20 cheaper than any other hotel in Jasper. The hotel itself is a good location with rooms decent for the price you pay. We were really disapointed in the hotel staff service. We were two young couples travelling and do not mind noise, however at this hotel it was excessive. There was a party with 30-40 people in the next room around 12 at night. We called the service desk, and it seemed like […] we were a hassle to them. The party did not stop for another hour. When people returned after the bar at 4 they again continued to be really loud, banging on our doors and screaming down the hallway. I understand that this is okay at a hostel but not at a hotel. We contacted the front desk again and it seemed as if we were being a nusance. When we checked out the next morning early the same staff member from the night before was on duty and never asked us about our stay or said thank you for our service or anything really. I would not stay here again just because of the poor attitude of a staff member. I have never written about hotels on sites before but I was just so disappointed. Read more

The cot was very uncomfortable for my 10-year old daughter. I suggest you have these replaced as the mattress is very old. I do not think and adult would be able to sleep on them.
