Avia Savannah - A Hyatt Hotel - Savannah

Very comfortable, clean room. Front desk, concierge and valet staff was very polite and personable. Big plus was the shrimp cheese grits for breakfast. Also lots of fresh fruit and other healthy offerings. Hotel was right in the heart of the historic district, one block from the river.

Based on reviews from others, the hotel was all we were hoping for. It was conveniently located to restaurants and historic sights. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and quiet. Would definitely recommend it to others.

This place is beautiful, clean, stylish and extremely comfortable. The best hotel I have stayed at in years. Much better than hotels twice the price. Excellent location and courteous staff. Thank you Avia!

We have stayed in a few hotels in the Savannah area, and we have now found the hotel we will book for any future trips. Great staff, wonderful amenities and great rooms! I can't say enough, other than you will feel like a VIP when you stay in this hotel as they are more than willing to help with anything you could need. The Avia is a modern addition to the southern Savannah scene. Just a few years old it has a great location on the new public square near the hopping city market. The vibe is funky, southern boutique with an active bar and the fun Avia Kitchen with a wonderful breakfast buffet and small plates for a light dinner. This is my second stay at the Avia in Savannah, and we enjoyed just as much the second time! We watched the superbowl while we ate and drank in the lovely hotel lobby--had a super time!!

Loved this Hotel. Great location. Wonderful, helpful staff. Food was splendid! Waffles w/fried chicken and fruit! Oh MY--- Room had very accomodating amminities.

From the time we were dropped off at Avia's front door our experience was great! The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and clean, the bar was fun, and the food was very good. Their location is perfect for a visitor wanting to get to know Savannah.

The Hotel was very clean, personnel was very corteous, and the breakfast buffett with order-your-own-omelette and waffle was excellent!!! I highly recommend this Hotel.

Great hotel - great location, great people. Everyone we met greeted us . The bartenders were attentive and knowledgeable; the concierge most helpful as were the front desk people. We didn't frequent the restaurant, so I can't comment there. Overall good place to stay. Highly recommend.

Nice stay. The staff were just wonderful, the hotel itself was fine if a tiny bit shabby (new carpets and a coat of paint needed).

We called customer services because the a-c in our room didn't seem to be working, almost instantly the tech was in our room, determined the a-c needed fixing and not that night. So within minutes we were in a new room (upgraded), moved in by staff not us. Was impressed with the hotel before that -- very nicely decorated and great service. This hotel was right in the middle of everything! You could walk to River Street then head on over to the Market. We parked our car as soon as we checked in because we could walk everywhere. The only downside was that parking cost $20 for the night.

I travel for work, and have for years. I get to stay in some very nice hotels. In my opinion, the Avia Savannah is one of the best run hotels I have ever been to.

The front desk staff is not great. Glitches with their computers had me standing there after a long flight for tooo long. The design of the hotel has flaws. Biggest problem is lighting. At front desk too much light in my eyes. Once in the room, it's just OVER DESIGNED, and lighting in bedroom and bath is just not good. Harsh and too much overhead. But […] the construction outside both my windows was a nitemare. I had no idea first nite it would be so loud that saturday morning. I didnt move rooms, since i was checking out on monday, and sunday I figured they would not work , but monday morning,..OMG..loud banging..just 30ft away across the street. If you stay at the Avia, make sure you change rooms immediately if they place you near the construction. I will not stay here again. On a positive note, breakfast food and staff were nice,and so was the room service meals. Read more

Can't say enough positives about the Avia Savannah , clean and comfortable rooms, fantastic staff who are willing to go the extra mile. Dot at the front desk is the best.

We have stayed at Avia twice, the first time last Spring and again this September. Probably for the next year you do not a room on the Ellis Square side there is a large office building being constructed and it's very noisy. Overall the hotel is great and in a great location.

This is the second time we've stayed here and it was just as good the second time. Great location, service that goes above and beyond, I could go on and on. If there is a negative it's the prices in their bar/restaurant. There are so many places to eat near the hotel that it really doesn't matter.

Savannah's historic district is the attraction for visitors to the city. But you don't have to give up modern, stylish comfort if you want to stay downtown. Avia is located across the street from Ellis Square and in the heart of the shopping and restaurant district. Rooms are very comfortable, but if you're there on a weekday, ask for a room away from […] construction across the street. The wine bar is great and don't miss the lobster mac&cheese. If you are used to paying a max of $12 or so for a glass of nice wine, consider asking your server to point out the wine she recommends on the reserve wine menu, so you won't be surprised by $18 or so for a glass of wine. The Savannah Avia was a pleasurable experience. The first night we had a problem with the air conditioning unit making noise, so they moved us to another room the next day. Staff all friendly and very helpful.

Friendly staff, very accommodating and Shrimp & Grits for breakfast. I will stay here the next time I am in Savannah.

AVIA was a perfect, modern, downtown hotel! My wife and I stayed there for a night and enjoyed it greatly. We would recommend this hotel highly!

We were very pleased with every aspect of this hotel: The beds were comfortable! The wine list in the bar was fantastic! Breakfast was delicious! Climate in room was easy to control! Room was very clean! All staff we encountered were very friendly. We will visit again!

We had a wonderful time at the Avia in Savannah. The hotel was beautiful and actually looked just like the pictures on the website, which is usually hard to come by. The staff was very nice and helpful. 100% happy with our experience.

I travel to Savannah 6 or 7 times a year and typically stay at a B&B or The Bohemian. In the future I'll add the AVIA to the list. Great service and very nice rooms...although a bit tight compared to the Boehmian. Highly recommend ...

We chose this hotel because of the favorable article we read in Southern Living Magazine. However, the article did not even do it justice. The amenities were outstanding, the staff were friendly and went out of their way to make your stay outstanding and its location cannot be beat. Both my family and I LOVED this hotel. The beds are super comfortable, the staff a dream, and the neighborhood couldn't have been better. A must-do in Savannah!

Perfect location right in the center of things Only complaints are very minor ones, the AC in the room was rather noisy and would wake me up sometimes when it cycled on. No hotel parking, but the city parking garage is basically right next to the hotel. Great place to stay and would recommend.

We spent two days and the hotel is perfectly located close to River Street. Friendly staff, room was clean and service was top.
