This Hampton is great but hard to see just passing by. It's behind the Whataburger. Starbucks is just down the street. Everything is clean and smells great. It's so quiet because it's not near the street but the insulation must be great because you don't hear doors closing or toilets flushing and the AC just purrs along......none of the loud OFF/ON that some hotel AC have. The breakfast is decent and the staff is super helpful.

Hotel is very clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I will stay here again when I return to Austin. The location of The Hampton in is ideal to the event I was in town for. It is easy to get to and from the airport and the night life of Austin.
"Professional and clean"

Donna (front desk) was very professional and went out of her way to make me feel "at home". I'm not very computer savvy; she helped me get my laptop on the hotel's wifi system. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for lodging in the Lakeway/Lake Travis area.
"Clean fresh rooms, friendly staff"

The hotel is set back off of 620 and could be passed kinda easily. I had to use the Phone GPS, the car took me to the wrong place. One night stay, I was welcomed with a friendly staff. Check in was quick and the room was very spacious and fresh smelling. Plenty of linens. Nice and quiet. I would definitely stay here again!

I stayed one night at the HI Lakeway. It was my first time there; I chose it because I've stayed at Hamptons before and have been satisfied. I upgraded to a bigger room (for $15) and loved the extra space. I had a big comfortable bed (medium-firm, good for my back), a large room a couch and coffee table to spread my work all over, and a desk that I hardly used. There was a big TV that I didn't turn on. The bathroom is pretty standard, although the soaps/shampoo/etc. are good quality. It was clean, quiet, and more than I hoped for. The breakfast buffet wasn't crowded (Monday morning). My mother ate the eggs and ham and cleaned her plate; she is a very picky eater - as many people in their 80s are - so that says a lot, I think. The coffee was good and I didn't have to drink out of styrofoam. Chad at check-in was very helpful "moving some things around" to get us rooms across the hall from each other. He was efficient, friendly, and 100% service-oriented. (My mother thought her room - the same configuration as mine - was too big and she was too far from her TV. I guess I value the extra square feet more than her.) I'll definitely keep staying at Hamptons.
"Weekend for a baby shower"
The hotel was very clean and the staff was great. I needed a late check-out and they were happy to accommodate me. The free breakfast was excellent. It had several things to choose from. I was traveling with babies and it was very quiet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in this area.
"OK stay if you need to be in that area"

I like Hampton, but often there are small things that ruin the trip. This time the A/C unit was super loud and didn't control the temperature in the room well at all. Kept waking up being too hot or too cold. The bed was too firm for our taste and pillows too soft. Other than that, nice hotel, clean, nice staff, easy access.

Very nice hotel with good view of Texas Hill Country. Nice staff and good breakfast. Near Lake area of Austin. Can be noisy between rooms occasionally. Try to stay in rooms with view of hill country vs closer or above the front desk area.
"Short stay for a wedding"
The hotel was clean and was adequate for the short amount of time I spent in the room (less than 24 hours for a wedding). The front desk staff was MIA until a maintenance team member found a staff member to assist with my check-in.
"Great place for scenic views of the hill country"
I recommend staying at this hotel if you plan to visit the NW Austin area ,Lake Travis or plan to get married out this way like my friend did this past weekend. Great, clean place, friendly staff and beautiful scenic views of the hill country!
