Well it was ok in the end but the beginning sucked. We got there to check in the hotel around midnight and to our amazement the room was not ready for us. The toilet to start with didn't flush unless you completely turned the water off at the bottom of the toilet everytime, so we could not use the bathroom and no one could fix it until morning. Then […] the room was not cleaned and ready there was hair on the floor of the bathroom and kitchen area and the carpet was not vaccumed. The pillows were like pancakes no stuffing what so ever and the drawers had stains from mildew and the room smelled like mildew. The next day we told the front office this and they would not reinburse or give us our money back for one night but they moved us to another room because all the other places around the area were booked for the labor day weekend we checked. For the price is adequate. If you want ocean front, little pool and walk to the beach it is a lower cost stay. If you need updated, large pools, lazy rivers and such then stay elsewhere. This was a horrible place to stay---tiny condos. Very dirty, the ceiling was falling in and the ac unit caused the bathroom to flood. Service was worse---vending machines are locked at 10 pm and the lobby closed at 11pm. My stay was only one night and it was a pleasant stay. If your wanting peace and quiet you are far away from the main part of down town and can relax. If you like more interaction and "night life" then stay closer up the strip to the grand strand central. My only querk is parking had to park across the street in sand lot. The hotel calls itself a resort when it is actually an Extended Stay hotel that you would find near a highway. First of all, we would love to know why they call this Motel and "Resort", nothing further from the truth. Although the staff was friendly the hotel is in desperate need of improvement, the halls are dirty, the elevators are a mess, kids urinating in the halls, you name it. I would never come back there even if they pay me!.

Breakfast was a noticeable negative. It would rate it a C minus. They need to improve this a bit for the experience to a good one for the price. There is a Walmart a mile up the ride so it is a quick drive. You can get all that you need there (food, clothes, etc.).
