      The front desk refused to move us. We asked to switched rooms and they kept saying check back with us 3x a day when they could have just written down our name and called us back. The little dark haired skinny young man at the front desk was especially rude. We had to run the Air Con all night and the fan just so we didn't hear car NOISE on the main drag all day and all night..The hotel is like an apartment complex right on the main drag on Alii drive. We had to switch hotels after 2 nights there. Would never stay there again...

      Uncle Billies is great. It's not the Ritz but you are not paying for the Ritz. The restaurant has reopened . Food was fine and entertainment good. So close to Vocanoes National Park and other great attractions. Ask for the superior rooms. Lite breakfast fine. It's Hawaii - eat papaya!

      The hotel was nice and had a good location but as far as parking is concerned there was nearly none. But the good thing was that they provided a discount for the paid parking across the street, only $5 for 24 hours, better than some others. The bed was not comfortable and a couple of other little things but we are easy to please and for the price I would stay again.

    What a find! Ka'awa Loa Guesthouse is wonderful. A beautiful, quiet setting, a charming guesthouse, and wonderful hospitality. We stayed in the cottage... which was immaculate and comfortable.     The Inn is tucked away in a very quiet and scenic location high on a hill overlooking the Pacific ocean. Greg and Michael are superb hosts. The Inn is in excellent condition. Our room had a half bath, which was small. There was a shared full bath across the hall. There was also an outdoor shower with hot water, which was good after using the jacuzzi. […] We only stayed there 1 night so our experience was limited but it was a very enjoyable visit. Read more
