My stay at Arbor House was a wonderful experience! I was in San Antonio for a conference and the location was convenient to the Conference Center as well as River Walk and the extremely quaint La Villita arts area. Access to River Walk was about a 2 to 3 minute walk, the Conference Center was about 5 minutes. My suite was well cared for and service […] was outstanding. What a pleasant experience to open the door in the morning to find a lovely picnic basket with fresh fruit, pastries and juice; then to sit on the large porch in comfortable wicker furniture enjoying my meal. I began and ended each day on that porch enjoying the crisp, fresh air - total relaxation! Although I was in SA for business, I felt as though I was on vacation. The staff was friendly and responsive, the housekeeping was exemplary. I will DEFINITELY stay at Arbor House if I am in SA again. Read more

Experienced B&B travelers who appreciate the charm of historic homes will enjoy the The Arbor House. The Davy Crockett suite was appropriately appointed with time period pieces, and offered a spacious living room and porch for sipping our favorite beverage. Close to everything, reasonably priced, free parking, quiet and clean. My only complaint was the breakfast. Shouldn't be that difficult to get fresh pastries, fruit and a gourmet coffee should it?

Room was bigger then expected, very quiet, the only noise I heard was an ambulance didn't hear any traffic noise or people talking. Our room had a balcony and it was nice eating our breakfast out there. No complaints whatsoever. Would definitely go back.

We arrived late (9 ish) but the manager promptly came from his home to let us in and make sure we had every thing we needed, including easy directions to the River Walk (about 5 blocks). The staff were very friendly and open. Its been my first real Bed and Breakfast but I was still quite impressed having stayed at more well known locations such as the Hotel Indigo on the Riverwalk. Not only was the room spacious but the location was great for a quick walk onto the Riverwalk itself. It was very nice having breakfast dropped off to my room in a basket. The breakfast items were from Costco, a muffin and bagel. There was fruit in a dish and some other items also. The coffee in the room was Folgers and I am not a fan so did not drink it. I only had bkfst one morning due to early meetings and the food offered. No kidding - in 28 years of business travel, this is my FAVORITE stay, with NO CLOSE SECOND. I just wanted a place to stay near the convention center, I found a piece of history. Like being at grandma's house, you are not in a hotel, you are in a wonderful house, breakfast arrives at your door in a personalized basket at 8:30, coffee maker, ironing […] board, porch with sofa and chairs, and just CHARMING accomodations. Huge comfortable bed, separate front room, and wireless internet....STAY HERE even if you don't want to visit San Antonio...hahahaha....two blocks from the convention center, Riverwall, King James district...there is no reason to stay anywhere else, no they are not paying me to say this. Within walking distance to the Riverwalk- litterally 3-4 blocks. Parking for the Hotel is tight, but tolerable. The people that manage/own the hotel are very nice and very helpful. The Arbor House Suites Bed and Breakfast ended up being a delightful stay. We had small children with us and we thought that they were going to be upset without a pool, but […] they did not miss a pool at all and absolutely loved the hotel as well. If I could make a change for the Arbor House Suites Bed and Breakfast, I would upgrade the strength of the wireless internet and add eating areas to each room. The rooms have a microwave, refrigerator, access to ice, washer and dryer and they bring you a basket of muffins, bagels, fruit and cheese every morning. They have added a beautiful fountain outside with sitting areas and even a pit to barbeque on. I recommend the Arbor House Suites Bed and Breakfast for a great San Antonio stay for anyone. That is, if you can get in at all, because I think the word is already out about this place. Being affiliated with Hotels.com to me is a plus because I can book online and feel good/safe about my purchase and choice. Read more

Was just "OK". Was a bit more like staying at a hotel than a bed and breakfast. No real interaction with anyone at the place. The breakfast was a basket of fruit, cheese, etc left at the door. OK, but not memorable. Location was convenient (reasonable walk) to River Walk and Alamo.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Arbor House in San Antonio. We had a very nice 2 room suite which included a coffeemaker, microwave and mini-fridge. It was very conveniently located to many of the major attractions, including The Alamo and the Riverwalk. I had a comfortable stay in a clean big room (suite) with a lovely balcony. The latter was a very nice place to sit and relax in the evening. The breakfast is delivered in a pick nick basket - containing muffins, bagels, and fruit salad. There was a coffee brewer in the room with which I could make really good coffee.
