"Basic hotel near to Trevi Fountain"
Location is great, only a few minutes away from Trevi Fountain, about half hour walk to the Colosseum, Villa Borghese and Spanish Steps. Near Metro Station, there is a Spar Supermarket accross the road. A lot of restaurants and bar near the area. Room and bathroom is clean. Staff is very helpful and informatif about the area. They made a booking by […] phone for us to visit Borghese Museum. Wifi signal is not strong in the room but okay in the corridor or reception area. Breakfast is adequate. "Historical street, Via Rasella"
We walked almost 30 minutes looking for the hotel as we weren't expecting it to be an apartment type hotel and the streets of Rome was rather confusing. Dragging the luggage up and down the slope wasn't easy and the pavement aren't luggage friendly as it was mainly stones. Fortunately found the hotel but it didn't have a lift so we had to lug it up […] to 3rd floor. It almost seem as an angel was sent down when we saw a guy coming out to help and guide us to the reception. He's a warm and friendly guy who speaks excellent english and gave us a 15 minutes briefing giving us an honest opinion of Rome. Rooms were historical but spacious with most facilities ready and a modern bathing room. Noise was kept to minimum even though its near a tunnel due to the classic styled windows of the early last century. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Lovely people, Perfect location :)"
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We really love the location and the friendliness of the staff, they make you feel extremely welcome and like nothing at all is too much trouble. We arrived three hours before check in time due to trains etc and they sorted us out a room there and then. We were able to leave our bags and get off and […] enjoy this beautiful city. The breakfast is above and beyond anything you would expect. There is a large choice and a friendly and lovely lady making drinks and helping out. The room was big and had everything you might need including a fridge and toiletries. The location is perfect. You are on a small road with very little noise but so close to many sights. Within a 5-10 minute walk you have the Spanish steps, Piazza Barberini and the Trevi fountain. 15 Minutes and you're at the Quirinale palace, Piazza del Popolo and the Pantheon. Rome is a city you HAVE to see by foot and this is in an ideal location for this. We just walked miles and miles everyday and saw so much for it. We couldn't recommend this hotel any better. "Location, location, location"
This B & B is so close to the centre of Florence you can taste it. It represents good value for money given it is so cheap. It's a bit dated but for travelers wanting to walk the town and soak up the atmosphere and have a convenient place to stay with adequate facilities, here's your B & B. I'd have no hesitation booking again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice basic hotel"
A great budget hotel. The location is excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice enough, clean comfortable etc. Good shower, had a fridge and air conditioner, has sky TV but be aware that only the news channels are available in English. WiFi was ok but a bit intermittent. The only negative is that the rooms on the second […] floor all lead off from the breakfast area/room and the doors are quite thin, this means that if a family gets up at 7am for breakfast you can hear their whole conversation! In reality this was not a massive issue because it meant we had to get up and make the most of the day! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Central location, lots of stairs"
This was a great location neat Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps etc. downside was beds were narrow and cover a bit grubby but bathroom ok. Would not be good for disabled due to lots of stairs. Breakfast was good, constantly replenished food and drinks, cold buffet, cereals and rolls/croissants etc. we were able to leave our cases there on day of departure […] and collect later on our way to metro station (which was nearby). "Bed and Breakfast lodgings close to Trevi Fountain"
This family run B & B is in a great spot for exploring Rome - really close to most of the sights - and easy to find with a short walk from Barberini Metro Station. We walked most everywhere, but it is close to the metro if walking isn't your thing. Be prepared for stairs - our room was 3 floors up - though they do assist with carry bags up and down. […] The room was large and clean, though it needed some maintenance: air-conditioning was not working and there was a portable unit provided which was effective but noisy and the toilet seat was only half attached. To be fair though it appeared that the 3rd floor was in the process of being renovated and work may not have been complete on our room. Street noise was a problem on Friday / Saturday evenings but other nights were ok. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the breakfast was well provisioned. Internet worked just fine. Good, budget hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is lovely with selection of croissants, fruit, cereals and the best coffee I had in Rome. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Great location, lots of walking up and down hills and stairs close to metro and buses. Good breakfast and friendly staff. You can spend your cash on other things other than a fancy hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for everyone"
It was a fantastic hotel, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend to a friend, as the whole experience was good. There was a problem at the beginning, but the staff were able to fix this problem with no hassle at all.Genuine Expedia guest review
"DISAPPOINTING! Unsure why TripAdvisor rated well?"
I was not aware the hotel did not have a Reception open in the evening - at 9:15pm (when we arrived due to our flight being delayed) we were sent (via a note being left on the front door) to another hotel to collect our room keys! The floor in our room was filthy, along with the mattresses and pillows. Uncleanly bedding was very uncomfortable and made […] for sleepless nights during our stay. The bathroom sink became blocked entirely on our last day due to the plug not having a release button so it became permanently closed! No internet was available in our hotel for our entire stay. The apartment located on our floor had several dogs going in and out of it, with 1 dog barking all night on 2 evenings. Plus there were no bedside lamps at all so reading was rather difficult with only an overhead ceiling light! Would not recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent Location and Staff"
We took the Express train from the airport and then connected at Termini (main Metro station) and got off at Barbarini - then short 2-3 walk to the hotel. It was super easy and convenient to get to. We were within a 5 walk to Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps and lots and lots of local and fast food restaurants. The Metro folks were on strike on […] the day we had booked a tour and it only took us 40 mins to walk to the Vatican City from the hotel and we cabbed it back for 10 euros - thats probably as far as you have to go for tourist locations in Rom. The rooms were very clean and the staff were excellent. The only negatives were that the write-up claimed the rooms had a safe and wi-fi. They didn't have a safe but you could get access to wi-fi in the common sitting/dining area. Oh - the food wasn't bad either. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

A lovely spot, a great location. The staff were great and helpful. It would have all 5's but for the luggage lugging through Venice alleyways and then up a flight of stairs. But we knew that going in.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable stay in the heart of Rome"
A good value hotel in a very good location- with easy walks to many major sights. Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Via Corso shops, Villa Borghese are all within 20 minutes walk. Plenty of restaurants and bus and metro stop close by too. The hotel is quite basic, but staff are friendly and breakfast good. We had a family room for four- they used two pull out […] beds which were adequate but not overly comfy. Quite tight in terms of space. TV had satellite for all languages but in practice limited choice for English speaking unless checking Bloomberg share prices is your thing! Its quiet enough given so close to many sights. "Great Location for getting around"
Hotel room very basic but adequate for need as only used to sleep in and shower. Could do with updating however bedding and towels changed daily so no issue with cleanliness in that area. Good location and easy to get to. If room size we had anything to go by would suggest that not great for a family but there were families staying there. Residenza […] Ki calls itself a hotel but would suggest it is more an apartment block with bedrooms/bathrooms in. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Friendly and central"
This is more of a guesthouse than a hotel, no bar or restaurant and you have to let yourself into the building with a key after six o'clock. But the staff are friendly, the breakfasts are good and the rooms are clean. And the location is excellent, near the Spanish Steps and a Metro station so you can easily get anywhere in Rome.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A great place to stay"
Overall our stay was very pleasant. Residenza Ki is ideally located and the staff is very friendly and extremely helpful... especially Diego, who had our room ready when we arrived early and even carried our luggage for us, since there are several flights of stairs and no elevator. He also offered us good advice, information, and maps, got us skip-the-line […] tickets, provided us with umbrellas on rainy days, and reserved our early morning taxi to the airport. The breakfast was very good, consisting of a wide variety of cereals, fruit, yogurt, cold cuts, cheeses, eggs, croissants, pastries, cakes, juices, various teas and delicious cappuccino. There is a grocery store conveniently located at the corner and many shops and restaurants nearby. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We had trouble finding the hotel as it did not have a sign outside. A little disappointed that the room was really small and the window over looked the internal stair case with a large piece of concrete going through the middle. No tea or coffee making facilities or hair dryer in the room, although we did get a dryer in the end. However, the staff were […] very helpful and the hotel was very central. "Bathroom horrible, location very good"
Location is great, staff were helpful, but the condition of the hotel is very bad. The shower was just awful, tiles loose on the floor, too small, dirty and very old. I wore shoes in the shower as I didn't want to cut my feet/touch anything in there. I like budget hotels, but I would not recommend staying here unless you know the bathroom has been refurbished. The […] mattress was broken, with huge dents, so if you suffer from a bad back really don't think about staying here. "Good central hotel."
Hotel was in a good central location, most sights are within walking distance. Hotel staff were very helpful and gave us a map and advice about how to get to the Metro; sights and restaurants. Breakfast is basic but fine. All restaurants appear to be busy and it is best to make a reservation. Metro is easy to use and fairly close to hotel, although […] with a map it is easy enought to get around Rome. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Simple, clean, great location"
We, a family of four, stayed here for one night after returning to Rome from Florence, and flying out the next day. It was a good choice. Only one stop from Roma Termini (main train station), and then a 5 minute walk from Barbareni Station. 5 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain, close to a number of very good restaurants. Our quad room was dated and […] simple but clean. Wireless was reliable. Breakfast was similarly simple - lovely coffee, croissants, boiled eggs, cereal, cold meats and cheeses, and juices and yoghurt. Recommended for a reasonably priced (for Rome) stay, with nothing fancy or over the top. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The location of the hotel was perfect. Literally a 2 minute walk from the Trevi fountain and no more than a 25 minute walk from any of the other important Roman tourist spots. It's a little difficult to find, but get a taxi there and the staff will tell you exactly where you are and what's in what direction. 10 minutes exploration to get your bearings […] and you'll love this place. The staff were great, perfect English, polite and helpful. We were given keys to the B&B, meaning you can come and go as you please. You can leave or arrive at 4am once you have them if that's what you want. The only problem was the free Wifi was down for a day, but that could happen anywhere, and if you're going to spend all day inside, on the internet, you're doing your holiday wrong. The perfect place for a couple or small group of friends to stay. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, great staff, tired hotel."
Although the staff were very helpful and friendly, we were very disappointed with our room and general upkeep of the hotel. Our room was very tired and the dado was broken exposing the raw wall. The windows were dirty and the shower cubicle needed a good scrub or even to be changed. Our one wardrobe between four of us had no door. Breakfast was adequate […] but one morning we had to wait to be seated as there was not enough seats to accomodate all the guests. However that said It did not ruin our stay as we were only there to sleep and have breakfast and it was a great location. And as mentioned before the staff were great. "I highly recommend Residenza Ki"
My girlfriend and I stayed at Residenza Ki for 9 nights (Nov17- Nov26, 2012). This place is absolutely amazing and I recommend it to anyone who is planning a brief or long vacation in Rome. It is located within walking distance of absolutely all the "must sees" and "must dos" and not to mention great food of Rome. Staying here made us feel as if we […] were living in the centre of Rome in a typical Rome style building. The rooms are well maintained, the breakfast is great and you have access to many channels (Skytv) on your plasma tv in your room when your relaxing in your room. What also makes this such a great place to stay is the manager and staff. They are absolutely amazing, hardworking and helpful. Not only are they locals who suggest great little places to eat, have coffee and visit, but they also provide you with tips and a very useful map of Rome. An example of how great the staff is: I really wanted to watch a soccer game on tv but in Italy you must subscribe to soccer channels to watch the game. Although you are provided with ample sports channels, soccer channels are not part of the package. Therefore, one of the staff brought her code from her own personal soccer channel subscription so that we could watch the game through the channel's website via her own personal subscription. The manager then allowed us to use his computer in the front desk and we watched the game! They even stayed late just so I could watch the game! The manager/staff far exceed expectations. Our only complaint about this Hotel was the "late" check-in arrangements. I had read the arrangements for "late" check in but must have missed late meaning after 6pm! We arrived just after 8pm and had to go to another Hotel to get the key! After this however the entire stay was wonderful. The Hotel is quirky, with our room opening straight onto the […] breakfast room but it was comfortable and very clean with everything we needed. I think the shower heads needed replacing but the water was hot so did the job! The staff, when they were there, were friendly and very helpful, particularly the man on reception who explained the metro and the best places to visit. The hotel is closed to a handy Metro station and 10 minutes from the Trevi Fountain and lots of places to eat and drink. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"We couldn't have asked for any more"
Having arrived to a strike at the airport at FCO we were stressed, upset and without a suitcase or any clue what to do. We arrived at Residenza Ki just as Diogo was closing the reception for the night. He was kind, understanding and assured us he would do everything he could to assist us in getting our suitcase back. The room was beautiful and comfortable, […] just what is needed after a long stay walking the streets of Rome. The room was always kept clean and smelt lovely. The authenticity of the building, gorgeous marble staircase, amazing doors and windows was just perfect. We felt we were living the life in Rome in a gorgeous apartment. The bathroom was modern and had everything required including complimentary toiletries The breakfast was lovely, there was a huge amount of choice and the lady serving couldn't have been nicer. She even sent someone to see if we were ok as we slept past breakfast!!! The location of the hotel couldn't have been better. We were just a short walk from the Trevi fountain, close the the Spanish steps and many other amazing sights. There is a main road close by with buses stops, a metro stop is just up the road which can take you to all the major sights. The customer service is the main reason however that we will be returning here again. On numerous occasions Diogo spent a good deal of time helping us source our bag and phone the shuttle company- We were jinxed honestly but Diogo was brilliant for us and we couldn't have asked for more. "great location and price"
We had a lovely stay here, perfectly placed, only a short walk from the Trevi fountain for a very reasonable price. We only had one minor issue and that was turning up at about 8-8.30pm on a sunday evening and having a 20 minute walk to their sister hotel (Saturnia I think it was called) to collect the keys. It is stated on their website that there […] isn't 24 hour reception and there was a very clear map showing the way to the other hotel, but it was dark, we had a rather big wheeled case and obviously this isn't ideal. I probably could have done a little more research for the reception closing time/name and location of the sister hotel etc, but it would have been easier if we had been informed earlier of this information as we could have gotten our airport transfer minibus to drop us off at the sister hotel instead and would have only had to walk the one way back. Despite this the receptionist at the sister hotel was very helpful and clearly explained a quicker way back. In fact, all the staff we encountered during our stay were very friendly and helpful, especially Palmira, the lady assisting with breakfast, serving hot drinks with a smile and ready to book a taxi etc if needed. "Excellent small, comfy, central Rome hotel"
If you arrive after 4 pm be prepared to be given directions (pinned to the front door) to a sister hotel (Saturnia) which they claim is 10 minutes away but finding it can (was in my case) add to that.. and if it is dark and wet.. even longer. It took me 55 minutes before I was back. That being said, we loved the hotel. It was centrally located, the […] room was clean and the air conditioning and TV all worked well. Breakfast was cold buffet with great coffee from the friendly lady in charge of it all. Rome became very accessible, given the location. The hotel is next to a small restaurant whose food and drink is excellent - with excellent prices. It also has a head waiter who rivals Basil Faulty in his supposed indifference and rudeness - but just keep smiling at him and he is a softie, really. All in all, a great 9 nights at the hotel.
