Good location: Although this hotel is not in Venice, it only takes 15 minutes bus ride (bus 19) to the city. Going to airport is even faster, bus 5 will take you to Macro Polo airport in 10 minutes. If you drive to this hotel be aware that there isn't much parking, probably for about 8 cars outside the hotel on its premises. However all the good outweighs this one item. Hotel Marco Polo is very nice. From the Mestre airport it's about a 10 minute drive or 12 Euros taxi ride. From the Mestre train station it's about a 15 minute drive or 20 Euros taxi ride. Very nice hotel at an excellent price for Venice area. One block from the bus that takes you on a 15-20 minute ride directly into Venice. Ten minute bus ride to the airport. Room a little small but fine for only sleeping. Very safe area.

We got there late the tolet was broken I tryed to call the night clerk no answer the room was for a Handicap person never go back there. Also they where going to take us to the airport by car i had the booking number they had nothing until I showed them the booking number.

Hotel is less than 4 miles to Marco Polo airport and is right on a bus route that serves Venice. The staff was helpful getting my family to the airport after dropping our rent-a-car off the night before an early flight out of Marco Polo.

Orlando, the hotel manager was very friendly and helpful. We had to leave at 0430 and he made sure the coffee machine was on so we could have some before we left. For the price, you can't beat this place to stay. It is a great location for getting transportation to Venice or the airport. Not much around the hotel though.

It was walking distance for the Train Station. It was a small Hotel but was great for us. It is on the second floor so you do have steps to climb but the hotel carried our luggage up the stairs The location was walking distance to everything. We would definately stay there again. The hotel was a small boutique style outside Venice. Some experts tell you not to stay in Mestre but this is not downtown nor in an industrial area, it is in a residential area with buses stopping right in front that will take you to Venice in 10 minutes. Hint, purchase the pass at the little store across the street, get a day long or more pass, it […] covers the bus to and the water ferries in Venice. The room was small but comfortable, with a large closet, small desk and chair, but a large balcony on many rooms. The view is just a residential neighborhood, but the Dolomite mountains are in the distance. The biggest negative was the shower stall, it only measured 26" by 26" and was tight for a bigger guy like me. My luggage scale has a tape measure built in. The elevator was just big enough for two persons and their luggage. Breakfast was continental and sufficed. The free internet was 1 hour wireless per day with unlimited use of the desktop. Free parking in the small lot also. The weather was just starting to get warm and the hotel wasn't using the A/C so we opened the balcony door and the bathroom window and it was cool enough at night. There also wasn't much in the way of food choices in the neighborhood for convenience, many of the restaurants don't open for dinner until 730 per the Italian custom. Overall i would highly recommend this hotel for a budget trip to Venice. Read more

We were not impressed with this hotel. We were told that there was a free shuttle to the airport which is why we booked it, but instead, it was 15 Euros. The beds were hard. The air conditioner wouldn't cool down. The curtains are sheer so quite a bit of light comes through into the room.

The hotel is located in Campalto, about a half block from a #5 bus stop, providing inexpensive transportation to and from both the airport and Venice, both of which are about 15 minutes away. The last bus, however, leaves Venice at 12:40 AM, and after that the only way back to the hotel would be a more expensive taxi. Noteworthy in-room amenities included an in-room safe and a flat screen TV, which although had dozens of channels, only one (MTV) had any programming in English. The hotel staff, especially the gentleman who manned the reception desk in the afternoon and early evenings, was exceptional. He spoke perfect English, and gave our party many tips (dining suggestions, bus/transportation schedules, etc.) that resulted in an enjoyable stay. The complementary breakfast included a large variety of items which were fresh and tasted good - especially the fresh pastries which I suspect were baked on premises. With the trattoria located across the street from the hotel closed for holiday, the hotel location presented a slight challenge in finding close places to dine. Nevertheless, a cafe located across the street, open from the late morning through the early morning hours, provided a place to enjoy a good panini, ice cream, or a drink just about any time of the day or night. The Marco Polo is an exceptional value for the money, with outstanding staff, and I would definitely stay there again! Read more

We found it was easy to take a bus from the Airport as the Hotel is on the main road, and cheaper than 20.00 Euro for pick up, but make sure you tell the Hotel if arriving by bus. Easy to pick up a bus to Venice after a lovely breakfast. Room a bit small, but was only for 1 night.

We used their shuttle service to the airport which was excellent and cost 7.50 Euros per person. We arrived at approx 9.30 am in the morning after disembarking a cruise ship and we were given a room within 10 minutes. The hotel is on the main bus route from Marco Polo airport and you can use Bus 5 and 19 at a cost of 6 Euro per person which takes about 10 minutes (the taxi costs 40 euros), and the same buses from the hotel into Venice cost 1.30 Euro per person and run every 15 minutes and takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Great location en route to central Venice especially during peak season when hotels cost a lot more. Hotel is the 3rd stop from the airport on the 5 bus and the ride into Venice is 15 mins only. Bus service is every 15 mins for most of the day. Hotel is great and breakfast is good.

The hotel is ideally placed half way between the airport and Venice, 2 minutes away from the bus stop (5,19 to Venice). It only took my girlfriend and I about 10 minutes to get to the airport and about 15-20 minutes to get to Venice. I recommend the 7 days travel card which covers all buses and waterbuses across Venice.

Used for overnight prior to an early am departure. Room NOT as described. No desk, no safe, and as others have said only got one hour of free wifi. It is very cheap and beats a taxi 1000 times to 1 The people that worked there were very nice but thy did not speak very good english. The page says free wifi but you only get one hour a day free you have to pay if you want to use more than one hour. Our "queen" […] bed was the traditional european bed that is two mattress slid together and they always seem to come apart so someone woke up in the middle of the night submerged in this crack between the mattresses. Easy access from Airport and Venice. We took a taxi from the airport 22 Euro. Bought a travel card from the tobaconist opposite 15 Euro per person for one day card allowing trnasport in the entire Venice area. Took bus from outside hotel to Venice and then water bus to explore all of the islands.

fue excelente el trato del personal en el hotel, en la colonia donde se ubica puedes encontrar diferentes opciones para comer, a lado del hotel se encuentra una parroquia, pasan dos camiiones que desde la estacion de trenes puedes tomar el bus numero 9 para llegar al hotel... y para ir a venecia tomas el bus numero 15..... paguen el bus para que se […] eviten multas..por que si hay inspectores señores.... el desayuno es bueno, suficiente para poder aguantar para la hora de comida.. en el lobby hay una computadora que te ofrece internet gratuito, en las habitaciones solo es una hora...hay que entregar la llave de la habitacion siempre que se sale del hotel....
