I have stayed in Country Inn and Suites many times. Almost the only place I'll still stay. They are reasonable, clean, courteous, welcoming and have great free breakfast. The staff is always great and I highly recommend them.

I don't think it was a good value for the money. My first time in this hotel. Normally stay a Embassy Suites. Iron attached to board made ironing clothes impossible. Inconvenienced for a $20.00 iron? I visit Tallahassee often and will stay elsewhere.

Very friendly staff, not as convenient to FSU as we would ike but good value and easy access to highways, did not like taking left out of hotel to get on Mahan. Breakfast included was a good value, linens were fresh and clean. We asked for a replacement chair in room but never got one but would recommend as a good value at the price we obtained.

We spent two nights at the hotel while we visited friends in the area. The kids enjoyed the outdoor pool and I was able to exercise in the fitness center each day. The computer in a quiet area off the fitness center was perfect for catching up on emails while the kids watched a movie in the room. The major problem was that the desk clerk had her family hanging out in one of the rooms the night I chose to stay there. A classic example of "good news, bad news." I have never seen such a mess of cable tv wires and boxes...and it didn't work. There were 2 remote controls that were required to operate the tv in the living room...just like home. The bedroom was equally screwed up but with only 1 remote, so I had to turn the tv on/off and adjust the volume by walking up […] to the set and using the buttons. Both wall lamps on either side of the bed were unplugged, not found until late in the problem investigation stages of lighting the room. The breakfast in the morning had no milk, so the attendant had to run to the gas station next door to get some...a little planning ahead the day before might have helped. The front desk clerk provided free laundry soap for the load I had to do...that was a very nice touch...but not sure why they don't have the little boxes for sale...how do they expect people to use the washer? No facial tissue in the room/bathroom. No extra blanket in the closet, the only non-sheet sleeping cover was the thick multi-layer-all-in-one bedspread that weights a ton. The usual very slow elevator. However, the bed was very comfortable...except for the lumpy/wrinkly thin pad under the sheets...you know the kind that bunches up on itself when you barely touch the mattress...at least it didn't make a plasticy, crinkly sound. The granite walls around the tub area were loaded with scum...not cleaned, ever. So, the price was right, but clearly this hotel neeeds new management. Read more

There were only a few cars in the parking lot and the clerk said there were very few guest, so I don't understand why they gave us such a horrible room. I reserved 3 rooms for 3 nights and was very pleased with our stay. I have an 83 yo mother battling cancer and this was a visit to meet a relative from Lousiana. The property was very nice and the staff friendly and very accommodating. I was in the hotel business for over 30 years and can attest to the quality service and cleanliness of this hotel.

I only have 2 complaints. One day our room was not cleaned which I feel is a very important aspect of staying at a hotel because I do not feel that I need to make […] my own bed when I am on vacation or have to go up to the front desk to ask for more towels. The other complaint is that half way through our 8 day stay the internet started acting up and was very very slow for the rest of the duration of our stay and I could not use certain applications because of this so had to use my wireless internet card. Other than that, we will be staying there again next year when we visit. The problems that we have there are so minuet that it does not hinder our decision to stay there again. Convenient and clean hotel. Was first given room directly across from elevator. Returned to desk and requested a different room. After some grumbling by the clerk , who stated that "it would be even worse having a room right next ti the elevator", she assigned us a new room. As we were leaving the lobby, she realized that she had reassigned us to a […] room right next to the elevator. As she was looking for another room assignment, she verbalized her ongoing reasons why "tonight has been such a bad night"; busy desk, getting her dinner delivered incorrectly twice, etc. When asked if they had any pillows or blankets that were non-feather, she stated "nope". We found one nonfeather pillow in the closet. Glad I brought a pillow from home. By the way the room we wound up in was nice, but right next to the first one...across from the elevator. Morning check-out clerk was grumpy and not able/willing to answer a question re our bill/statement. Only 2 hotels on this side of town and this was the better one. Read more
