Ok ill start the reveiw with the good points. 1.location, stayed for 6 nights.Nice spot near some good eateries and shopping. Unfortunately its all down hill from there. 1. Hot water runs out/not working at all most of the time. 2.Air con has 2 settings, stifling heat and sub arctic. This makes you get up about 5 times during the night to adjust it. 3."international satelite tv" has 9 thai channels and fox sports showing soccer 24h a day. 4.We had no power for around 24hrs and couldnt even use the pool as the diesel generators exhaust that exits just below formed a nice smelly cloud over the area. 5."wifi" yes it is there but you pay dearly for it and have to walk 100m to reception to get it to pick up. 6.Beds two singles, one around 75mm taller then the other lashed together to make a "king" Combined with the thin piece of foam masquerading as a pillow ensures the hotels spa does a roaring trade in back/neck massages. 7. Food. Breakfast was okish, ordered a ham and cheese toasted sandwich from room service and it turned up cold. Not sure how that can be messed up but anyway. 8. Staff at reception were quite nice when they were there.Every other member of staff were rude as hell. Overall 6 days of holidays ruined. Not happy especially after paying the same amount we were at another hotel further north which was spectacular.
"I would stay there again"

Loved the room, 1214, top floor and total privacy as balcony screened by trees. Great air con and room kept clean. Breakfast buffet same every day. Drinks need to be much colder and hot food to be kept hot. Coffee at breakfast, delicious. Staff at reception and waitresses not overly helpful. Resturant Manager very helpful. Travellers remember we are in an underdeveloped country. Tradies not good. During a rain storm the water was running through the light fitting into the bath. Scary! Be polite to the Thai people and don't raise your voice.

Stayed for 14 nights at the Karon Princess. Found the hotel ideally centrally situated for easy access to beach and restaurants. We booked a delux room which was kept clean on a daily basis. Breakfast is a buffet service and has an egg station where eggs are cooked to order. We found the staff to be very helpful and polite. Overall for the price we paid felt this hotel was good value and would consider using again. The only issue we did have and is no reflection on the hotel was some of the other guests who felt it was appropriate to drink glass bottles of beer and eat their lunch in the pool without consideration of hygiene or safety of themselves and others.
"Terrible staff attitude"

As usual we book and pay through the internet and when we get at the hotel we just give the printed copy of the booking and in few minuted everything is usually sorted out. Well not in this case. After photocopy our passport and checking our booking reference number they still started asking questions after questions. After a good 20 minutes they asked us to email to them a copy of the booking. We said.....but we already gave you this copy which has got a reference number. No, they insist that we send the booking to their computer. Ok, let us do that but we haven't got a computer so you got to let us use your computer. One girl at the reception said......the computer is not free.....you have to pay. What, we said.....are you joking? We don't need your computer, it is you that tell us to email you with the booking reference. They didn't reply so we stand back and sit down in the chairs totally exhausted after that confrontation. Nothing happened for few minutes but in the meantime they must have understood how stupid they were so they told the bell guy to let us use the computer for free. After 20 more minutes when they finally printed the booking confirmation they finally took us to our room. I have seen so many stupid things but this one beat them all. Avoid this place unless your patience is limitless.

We had not booked via the Internet, so as a walk in we were lucky enough to be shown what they call their "pool room" not I would imagine everyone's taste.... But for us this was great!!! It's a ground floor room leading onto the small pool area and jacuzzi. Clearly noisy at times, often with children in the early morning but that did not worry us too much. The room was very spacious, always clean, well serviced and allowed us to have a magical 10 days of swimming, jacuzzing and great walks along the beach. Their restuarant is adequate, same breakfast day after day, and an ok al la carte menu. Lastly and sadly no working wi fi in the rooms.....paid wi fi but not working!!!!! Would we go back again....... Yes!!....not outstanding but very pleasant all round!!!
"Good location but awful service that I've ever had in Asia."

For the price it's a great deal. You can walk to bars, restaurants, shopping and it's right across the beach. However because of the way we were treated by the staff, I'd have to recommend to NOT stay here. The bell man wouldn't leave our room until we gave him a tip and when he left he just walked out and didn't shut the door, no one at reception would help us get a cab for the next day, and when we checked out the reception was very rude and had lots of attitude. At the end I just wanted to get out of there. If I had to pick again I'd pay double or triple the price at another hotel than stay here.
"All average - Kata Beach is better!"

Spent our last night here. Hadn't booked anywhere and the hotel we had thought to go to did not exist! The staff were helpful, getting us a standard room on the spot. Seemed too expensive for what it was. But the pool was great - there are two seperate sections so when too many people were at one, we retreated to the other and no one was there. Closes at 6pm for some insane reason. The transfer to the airport is more than advertised. I think it was 950bht for the two of us in a private car. Karon beach is right across the road and there are a few restaurants close by. A 5 minute walk in either direction will take you to far more options though. The included breakfast was standard but great. Egg chef made me an awesome omelette and there's fruit, cereal, toast, thai food etc.

Well, the location of this hotel is good, that why we choose it. But condition of the hotel especially the reception, the link to the room got to Improve a lot. Staff was not very inclined in English speaking. There is no shelter link from reception to our room. Telephone system is damn bad. Room condition is acceptable for the size. On our first nite, it was raining heavily, thunder and lightning cause the telephone system to be down. Our toilet bowl was choked, we can't communicate with the reception and I got to carry an umbrella, walk 5 mins to the reception and inform the staff. Haiz.. What a nite...maybe it is our luck, but should this be happening with a well established hotel?

Good location just few mewters from beach. Rooms are "normal" good sized Thai interior and combact thai style. Nothing suprising, but thta is not what we were looking for. Air conditioning was good and worked well. Pool area was nice, but water cleaniness was far out good. Maybe because too much tourists from country that do not give advice to wash before swimmingpool. Breakfast was good and tasty. Personnel have "A" for smile and serve.

We stayed 8 nights during the monsoon season. The hotel is located across the street from the beach. Watch out for dangerous rip currents. While we were there a group of tourists were rescued but sadly one of them drowned. Walk on the beach and save swimming for the lovely hotel pool. The staff was very nice and helpful in the Sunset Restaurant. Nice balcony with slice of ocean view. The bed was very hard. We placed the comforter under the bottom sheet to soften the bed a little. The plumbing made loud knocking noises night and day. Mafia controlled transportation in front of the hotel. Other taxi drivers wouldn't pick up or drop off in fear of being beaten by the mafia. The mafia charged extremely high fixed rates. We caught the open bus that travels between Old Town Puket and Karon Beach. Easy access to laundry, mini mart and restaurants.
