Carmel by the Sea - Broadbeach

Nice facility with minimal service on apartment type units. Traveled on business, but great for families or couples with friends. Excellent location across from ocean beaches, within easy walking distance from restaurants and shopping.

Great apartment, large in size and perfect location for Beach, Broadbeach mall, Jupiters and Pacific Fair. Ask for room 73 if taking a 2-bed apartment, it has a great aspect and well protected from the breezes you get when 13 floors up.

We loved this full serviced apartment. I had a lovely experience with Teresa who ensured that I would be happy with the apartment and outlook that I was looking for. We stayed in apt. # 59 on the 11th floor and the view was absolutely sensational. We were in a newly furbished apartment and they did a stunning job, so fresh and inviting. Everyone whom […] visited had fabulous comments about it. Downsides - 1. The owners had recently refurbished this unit and that was my main reason for selecting it. They put shag pile carpet in the main areas and this makes it very difficult to keep clean. A stick wand vacuum was provided but this is not powerful enough for shag pile and the battery's life was on the way out. 2. The apartment is only serviced every 8 days and I personally feel that this is not enough when you are paying the same rate as a hotel. Yes, I was able to wash my towels for a freshen up, but would be nice for the carpet to be vacuumed and floor moped. Read more

Great apartment that suited all of our needs. Beach was just across the road for our teenage boys. Close to great restaurants, bars. No need to drive anywhere. Room was spacious and clean. Spa bath was an added bonus for our 11 year old who had one every day. Balcony gave us great views of the ocean.

Carmel By The Sea has a perfect location and spacious rooms which are light and airy with great views over the ocean. This is very much a "for the price" review, because for the price, this hotel is excellent value. We were six mums away from Noosa for a weekend without kids on the Gold Coast and this was a great location, although we would all thoroughly […] recommend it for families. The outside pool, bbq, sauna, tennis areas are all really great as well. No air-con in the bedrooms, but that was OK since it was March. Kitchen well-stocked with more than the obligatory six wine and champagne glasses, everything worked well. It's very slightly older-style but that actually meant it was more spacious as well. The people on the front service desk scored 10/10 for helpfulness and contributed to our very lovely stay. A well-managed and well-maintaned hotel. Read more
