Lovely little place. Breakfast is out of this world. The room is quite small for a stay for more than one night. Nowhere to put things down, really. The tv is bed level so watching it takes a bit of maneuvering. But the hostess and staff are wonderful and helpful. The location is perfect for everything.

The only reason they didnt get 5 stars is because the rooms are a bit older but they are clean and it was so fun staying there. We werent sure when we booked it but we just could not have picked a better place. The owners do it All there. They bent over backwards to take care of any of our needs. They cooked according to our fussy eating habits, they were just genuine, real, and wonderful. We cant wait to go back. We were visiting family in Westward Ho! and got to see all of the sights as it is very central to the tourist things there.

The east of this varied coastline features the deep 'combes' (wooded valleys) of Exmoor, which plunge down to the sea, most dramatically at Lynton and Lynmouth. Room was small, but clean and warm. Decor is quaint or old dependent on your point of view. Breakfast was supposed to be included, but at 7.45 we were told the chef had a personal emergency and therefore we could have some toast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"some good bits and some bad bits"
got a bit worried when I saw on trip advisor that not all rooms were ensuite, however room 1 where we stayed was. nice room, however the bed was the noisiest thing I have ever slept on and creaked when you moved and the industrial air con fans on the outside wall of the bathroom from the shop next door lead to a constant loud humming noise that changed […] pitch at various times throughout the night, so didnt sleep too well for the 2 nights we were there. Probably should have invested in earplugs.On the plus side the Thai restaurant in the pub was outstanding and well worth a visit even if you dont stay there, the staff throughout were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good and at night we didnt hear much, if anything noise wise from the pub below and also free parking. "Welcoming and friendly"
I found the hotel welcoming, clean and comfortable. It was rather warm with the central heating still on, but as the weather wasn't brilliant, it was quite nice to have the rooms warm. The only complaint I have is that my room was not 'en suite' but even that wasn't really a problem as the bathroom and toilet was just across the corridor. The staff […] were polite and friendly.
