      Nearly everything was terrific about the Excelsior. The employees were all very friendly, breakfast was good, and the location is a few minutes walk from the heart of Valletta. The only negative points would be that the jacuzzi was colder than the swimming pool.

      Pros: Front desk service and info was great and friendly! Location was perfect for walking to areas and bus stop directly across the street. Breakfast upstairs was easy when we wanted it. Cons: Small elevator. Street noise. All in all this was a great hotel for us. Loved the service(Carl was great) the only item that I can really say was bad was the street noise since this hotel is right on the main road. However in Malta the national song is a beeping car! So get used to it. It didn't bother me in the least.

      For the price of the hotel, I was very satisfied. The room was comfortable and clean. The best part of the hotel is its staff. Extremely helpful and friendly. Made my one week there a little bit more enjoyable.

    A short guide to St. Paul's Bay

    The adjoining resorts of Qawra and Bugibba are set on the large St Paul’s Bay, where St Paul was allegedly shipwrecked. Both resorts were purpose-built in the 1980s. Bugibba has a small square, shops, bars, budget restaurants, nightclubs and a small harbour from which several pleasure boat excursions run. Swimming and water sports take place off the promenade and at lidos. Activities in Qawra tend to be hotel-based.

    Contrairement aux commentaires de certaines personnes, nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans cet hôtel très propre, très bien situé près de plusieurs lignes de bus. L'hôtel est à taille humaine avec 40 chambres, la salle de restaurant très agréable et pas bruyante du tout. Petit-déjeuner copieux, repas du soir très correct peut-être pas assez […] varié pour certaines personnes mais pour le prix c'était vraiment très très bien. Personnel extrêmement gentil et serviable. Si nous devions refaire un séjour à Malte sans hésitation nous choisirions cet hôtel et nous le conseillons. Read more
