"Less than average"
Internet was not working. Room batrhroom was smelly. Same exact items for breakfast every day. They forgot to ckean the room early and came in the afternoon. Old looking carpet and decorations in main areas. Smelly carpet. Elevator with broken buttons. The only good thing was the neighborhood, but for the price we paid, the quality was really […] poor. Next time we are staying in another place that are in the same neigborhood or even closer to wat we need. And even cheaper. This was the las time we stay there and have been staying there for quite a while. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Holiday Inn Express somewhat espressable"
I arrived at the Holiday Inn Express 8 hours early after a 14 hour bus ride and the staff declined to do anything to help make me comfortable or accomidate me. In the U.S the check in time is 12 noon , however their policy is check in is 3 pm and check out is 12 noon which I believe is a rip off cause technically I would not be getting all of my money's […] worth. But other than that the room was very nice, comfortable and clean. I would recommed this hotel if you are going to the consulate for anything it is walking distance. Just besure to arrive at 3 pm for check-in. :0) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Worth the money if the staff was nicer"
The room was very comfy and all the little extras you get during your stay here will keep you happy. The only complain I have is towards the receptionists. They were somehow rude and not very helpful at times. Everyone else in the hotel was nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Worst Customer Service Ever!!"
For the amount of money you spend on the hotel you would think they would at least be nice at the front desk. They treat you like if your not worthy of their time. I had stayed there once before and it was actually ok but this time the GUY at the front desk was rude every time I would go up there. I payed up front for two rooms for 5 nights so I couldn't […] leave but if could I would have left. Even though it had been requested to have the rooms on same floor and close together they said that it didn't matter they didn't have to follow it. I only rate this disappointing because it is the most expensive hotel on the block and I knew this but I also would think they would have better customer service for what you pay for.
Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Some things good, some things bad"
10/25/14 Beleriand Falls Church, Virginia
I stayed at this hotel for 11 days while on a business trip. This hotel is located in a busy commercial area near the US Consulate and across a busy highway from a mall and Starbucks. It is within a 10 minute walk of a very good restaurant -- La Diana. The area is very safe. The rooms are quite large and the beds are very comfy. The furnishings look a little on the cheap side but are functional. The bathrooms seem to have been renovated quite recently, with spacious granite countertops and rectangular sinks. However, there are some rough edges: the first room I was in had no plug for the sink; the second room I was in was also missing a plug! One was installed but really, what's the deal with missing plugs? The first room I was in was missing a light bulb and another was missing -- the hotel staff responded fairly quickly but it is hard to understand why these where not checked out before a guest arrived. The bath towels are old -- one was pretty raggedly with the selvage coming off, and the shower curtain was torn all along the top. The gym is very basic -- an elliptical trainer, a treadmill and a seated bicycle machine, plus a sort of universal machine and some very light hand weights. Most have seen better days -- in fact the elliptical broke completely. The hotel does offer passes to a Total gym across the highway, which was nice, but since my employer did not allow us to use it for safety reasons, it was not useful. Holiday Inn really needs to invest in decent equipment. The breakfast is pretty basic as well, and supplies of fruit and cereal ran low or were none existent for several days. Whoever is handling supplies really needs to check that out. Thank goodness for Starbucks. However, most of the staff with whom I dealt -- including the front desk staff, a very nice man who responded to my constant calls for assistant and the young man who actually did the work -- were all lovely and accommodating. I think this is a perfectly fine hotel for a short stay, but for a more extended, some of the hotel's shortcomings really became more than a little annoying.
"Good hotel for the price and if you're on business and need a good B&B"
09/13/14 Romain79 Mexico City, Mexico
I visited the HIE&S last week, on a business trip. Hotel is properly located and in a decent neighborhood. I don't know how old the building is, but it seems renovated, so that's one point on their favor. Hotel offers gated parking, which only opens with guest key. Since we were traveling as a group, that was extra safety for us. Check in was relatively quick, only one person was in front of me, but desk clerk was very attentive and talked to me directly that he should be with me in a few moments. They didn't have my reservation papers on hand, but could find me reservation on the system very quickly. He double checked that my room was ready and gave me my key not long afterwards. They offered a welcome compliment, either a bottle of water or a snack. I took the bottle. Room was in a mid-high floor and far from elevators so it made it very quiet. Another good point. They offer you a daily bottle of water (250ml) which is pretty enough for coming back from doing business and re-hydrating before going shopping to el Paso. The room was clean and comfy. One of the night lamps had a defect light switch, but if you switched it smoothly, it worked. Bathroom was also OK and everything worked. Just the shower had weak water pressure, but this was also bearable. Amenities like shampoo and soap were also OK. I remember when hotels offerd mouthwash as a standard. Nevertheless, they have a sign that says that if you forgot some toiletries, they can give you whatever you need at no cost (comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, razor, etc.) so this cancels the hassle of not putting the mouthwash there from the beginning. Breakfast is buffet-style and offers the usual: fruit, coffee, bread, juice and scramble eggs (two kinds, mexican style or plain) along with beans and Chilaquiles. The day after, the offered also Mexican Molletes (like a bread pizza, but with beans instead of tomato sauce. It has beans as a base, with grilled chesse and pico de gallo on top, everything on a halved bread) which happens to be one of my favorites treats for either breakfast or dinner. Company rate offers free breakfast, so I just had to compliment the server with standard tip. If not, breakfast is only 7USD, which is also very OK. Server was very attentive and helped us with a small juice accident very quickly. Check-out process was also quite fast and hassle-free. They had my company's data already in the system (during my check-in time, I gave them to them) and printed out my "factura" in just a few seconds. The clerk also was aware of my wait and said she would be with me in a few moments. I didn't feel at all that the hotel was dirty or not well maintained. It is not a luxury hotel of course, but it was very welcoming. One thing that I noticed is that all personnel was extremely friendly and attentive. They give you the impression that they love their job and like to make you feel at home. Hope this review was helpful to you. Romano
"Loved this Hotel-But careful with CCards"

I've stayed in this hotel ever since I was arranging paperwork immigration for the family. This was July 2010. That day my credit card got charged twice. Good thing I saved my receipt. Everything got cleared out. But overall, I keep returning to this hotel on every trip. It's safe, secure, clean and affordable. And I'm about to book another room soon.
"Felt safe in a horrible city"
06/25/14 DazzlingDiva25 Staten Island
To be fair, I traveled in August 2010. I chose to stay in a hotel near the American embassy (less than 5 minutes walking on the same block), and this was the perfect hotel to stay in. The staff was friendly, and I felt very safe. When it was time to depart to the United States, the hotel made sure to get a reputable taxi service that would be able to drive me to EL Paso, Tx airport. I stayed for about 10 days, and would highly recommend staying here!
"ALERT WITH YOUR CREDIT CARDS At THIS HOTEL"
04/15/14 Marisela S Chicago, Illinois
i was a guest at this hotel from March 19 to march 26.My husband and I were there for immigration purposes. the hotel in itself was very nice and the area was very safe too. when we checked out on march 24 at 4 am the overnight person took my credit card and checked us out. The credit card i used was only used for this hotel and no other place. last week on april 7 i saw my bank statement on my phone and i noticed a charge from a banana republic for $170.00. i called the bank to notify them that i did not purchase anything from banana republic, and they went ahead and cancelled my credit card. i check the next day and someone in el paso texas used my credit card at a banana republic outlet. which led me to call the hotel and speak with the manager. the manager was not really paying attention to what i was saying it seemed as if he did not care or as if i were not telling the truth. i have yet to receive an email or a call. he did not even apologize for this. please be careful with your credit cards and make sure to warn them that you will check your bank statements to make sure no other transactions are made.
"Great and safe location in Ciudad Juarez"
09/09/13 john k El Paso, Texas
I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express - Las Misiones on a Friday and Saturday night and was very pleased with everything. The location of the hotel is great and easy to access. Check in was prompt, professional, and courteous. The room was very clean and comfortable. The air conditioining was very efficient and kept the room at a very nice temperature. Breakfast was excellent and included eggs, beans, menudo, cereal, juice, fresh fruit, etc. Maid service was great and check out was a breeze. I ate at Barrigas on Friday night which is adjacent to the hotel and very convenient. Service, food, and value was good. $55 for two with beverages and dessert with coffee. Saturday night I wanted something a little nicer and a friend recommended La Diana which is a short walk from the hotel just past the consulate. Service, food, and value was great - highly recommend. $60 for two with wine and coffee. Superior service. I took a taxi to La Diana and the hotel has a taxi waiting 24/7, and walked back. Overall a great stay and I look forward to staying there again.
"Very attentive personnel"
09/03/13 landscapechaser Atlanta, Georgia
Second time in Cd. Juarez in a week and this made a difference. Super attentive personnel, breakfast sufficient. Very clean grounds and room. And a quiet atmosphere, just what you need when prep for interviews and so on at the consulate. Did I say it is just 5 minutes from clinics and US Consulate. And just in front of the Misiones mall. Do not forget to arrange transportation to Airport on time.
"Clean, walking distance to mall, restaurants, US Consulate"
04/27/13 Alex760 Tampa, Florida
Room was very basic, clean, cable tv had good selection of Mexican and US stations. Bed was very comfortable and the AC was good "white noise" , pressure in shower also was good. Gym is small but had the basics, pool was clean. Breakfast is very basic and the coffee it not Starbucks,, but there is a Starbucks within an easy walk. I felt the neighborhood was safe and several restaurant options adjacent. Ive stayed here several times and would seek this location out again on my next visit.
"Perfect for Consulate work`"
10/17/12 Chirag T Arlington
Background: I work with a real estate(hotel/hospitality) investment firm in Texas and am familiar with the IHG franchise requirements. Duration of Stay: 2 nights Check-in process: Ramon(Raymond) was able to confirm my reservation and checked me in less than 3 minutes. He was knowledgeable about the area and helped me clear my misconceptions about local safety around the consulate area. Room condition: The room was well-lit, vacuumed, cool and most importantly clean. The housekeeping is friendly, know what they are doing and closely adhere to the standards. Used linen were replaced with fresh linen everyday. Wi-fi: I was on the second floor and the Wi-fi worked well on my iphone 4, my Ipad2, and my windows laptop. Not once did I face any correction errors. Pool: The pool was clean and well maintained. Breakfast: Fresh fruits, 4 options for cereal. I am vegetarian and hence cannot completely review this section. However, for me the coffee, fresh fruits, cereal and granola worked. Overall, a good continental breakfast. Overall appearance: The common areas including the main lobby, elevators and floor hallway were well maintained. Cons: The visitor driveway in the back of the hotel needs to be paved. Highly recommended for anyone who is here for embassy and consulate related work.

The staff were excellent, rooms very nice, comfy and quiet. There is no bathtub in the regular rooms (Just a FYI) and when we requested one we were offered an upgrade to a junior suite, which we declined as it would have cost us three times the amount we had paid for the room by prebooking on a travel site. Pool is small, but was clean and the kids had lots of fun. The gym was good too. Free breakfast was decent although the family would have liked some more protein choices. Great location. Over all very nice!
